Hogwarts Chronicles: The Hand of Glory
Seraphina Anya McTieg sighed as she looked down at the letter in her lap. It
read as follows:
HOGWARTS SCHOOL
of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
Headmistress: Minerva McGonagall
Dear Miss McTieg,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted
at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please
find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no
later than July 31.

It wasn't that she didn't want to go it was just that it seemed like another
place for her parents to pawn her off. She hated the fact that they were always
trying to leave her somewhere so they didn't have to deal with her. Not to
mention that people always shied away from her. Was it because she was adopted?
Her current parents had tried to hide it, but she had figured it out not long
after she'd turned six. They weren't very good at hiding things. Seraphina
looked out her bed room window and ran a hand through her curly dark brown hair.
Maybe this would be different. Maybe she could actually meet friends.....Then
again maybe not.

"Welcome, students and parents to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! We
are happy to say that regardless of past events here at the school it is now a
safe haven for new young witches and wizards of all kinds," the ministry rep
said to the large group of people sitting in the great hall, "There are still
mysteries to be uncovered here at the school of course, but none quite as
threatening as those in the past-(loud roar is heard in the background)- ....eh
heh ofcourse we have quite fortified all of Hogwarts in the case that something
actually does go wrong so that the students are safe. Even the ghosts have taken
up learning how to use their current states to keep the students safe......You
really don't need to worry at all. There is no way anything can get through our
defenses.....Not a single way....HAGRID!!!!"
The unconvinced parents watched as the goblin sized man ran off no doubt to find
the grounds keeper they were all familiar with. Despite what the representative
said they all knew that almost nothing had changed. Almost.
"Have you heard about that thief running about," one of the parents said to make
conversation, "they say he doesn't leave any finger prints or anything."
"Not even a magic signature?"
"I've heard that there isn't even a sign of breaking and entering."
"Scary."

Ok so as you can see this is basically an after the story role play. Yes we will
all be starting off as first years though I will allow some teachers....Some.
I'm hoping I can get enough dedicated people to do this once a year and actually
finish it. So we will start with rules.
RULES
•Send me your profiles in PM do not post them. I will tell you what house you
are in and I will post your profile in this post if you are accepted.
•Let me know as soon as possible if you have to leave for a while otherwise you
will be killed off after five days.
•I will put up what areas of Hogwarts are accessible at what points. Some places
will be inaccessible during certain times. Do not post that you have entered an
area that is not on the list. PM me if you want to know if I have accidentally
left out an area.
•Your character does have the possibility of dying. Especially if they run into
the above mentioned thief. Don't complain if you get killed. I will fix it if it
was not a fair kill. Although I would prefer if you sent killing posts between
each other to let each other know so you can discuss future plans and the
possible need to continue living. Although if it's the thief you will not be
warned. I may if you persuade me otherwise change the post...May.
•You may create a new character if yours is killed, but you must find a way to
bring them into the plot and they may not know exactly what your character knew.

•Try to post atleast a full paragraph per post.
