    Default Fan-Fic Vs. Mature?

    Hello!

I just have a quick question that's been nagging at my mind for a bit- if a roleplay is based off of another author's work, but has great potential for having inappropriate content, what would you label it under? Would the fact that it was a FF over-rule that, or just to be safe should I mark it under Mature?

If you feel your RP will have content in it that would be considered to be rated higher than PG13, it goes in the mature section.

Language has never been one of our primary concerns as far as ratings. We do allow cursing in all parts of the forum if people chose to use it. There does become a point where the use of such language can be considered extreme, which is what changes it from PG 13. It's one thing to use words like shit, and even fuck on occasion, it's when they become every second word and/or some of the more creative and vulgar variants of the language are used that it becomes extreme

GM's will usually say what is too much for their RP and are always allowed to put the limits they desire on it. And if you think of this in the way of movie ratings, it's pretty easy to determine at what point something is no longer considered as PG13 and what would be R/M

Yeah, My Demonata Role-Play is Fan-Fic, but it's placed under Mature for all the yucky goryness, haha
