X-Men: Calm Before the Storm

This RP is rated R for: Violence, Blood, Gore, Language, Alcohol, Drug Abuse, Sexual Content, and Nudity.

This will be broken into three different stories. As in we'll begin with one and once that story finishes, we'll start on the second which will be influenced by the events of the first. I have a list of characters that I've created - Ten to be exact. They have Face Claims, too. Yeah, I got into Face Claims. Anywho - Their position within the story and their powers have been decided as well as their age and only the tiniest bit of their History, if any bit at all - I have full histories for them all, but I'm eager to see what you all can do with what is given to you. Or what isn't given to you, rather. I've done this RolePlay many a time and I like seeing how the characters are portrayed by others. - I will note that there are two characters in particular that I keep to play for myself, as they are the very first characters I made for X-Men RolePlays. If anyone would like to know more, let me know.

Spoiler: The Story 

The year is 2010 and school is just getting back into swing. It seems lately that tension between Mutants and Anti-Mutant Humans has been getting worse over the past year. This has resulted in a great influx of students to a place located within New York called Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Kids from all around the world have flocked to his home and Academy so that they’d have a place where they wouldn’t be judged by everyone around them every second of their waking lives. The world itself is on the brink of a civil war with mutants as their target. One person in particular is spearheading the movement – Senator John Kelly. All the mutants can do now is hope that everything blows over. While at the Academy, their focuses seem to be rather mundane as the outside world keeps away from them – Typical teenage things: Doing homework, finishing chores, deciding what color to dye their hair that day, who’s the cutest kid running around. They lead simple lives in this momentary calm – But how long will this calm last?

Many of Xavier's former employees and X-Men have long since retired and allowed their offspring and other young mutants take up the mantle of leading on the new generation of mutants. Charles may be dead, but his dream is not. This is a different world - Where many of the students you once knew don't exist. In their place, this alternate reality presents the offspring of the Professors as well as a few others.

Spoiler: Quick Summary 

I know it may seem boring and mundane, but the story will begin with the setting of the beginning of the school year, many mutants from around the world have found themselves at the Academy either by running away, being dropped off, or being abandoned at the gates. As far as the student roles, the characters will

A: Be new students learning how to control their powers and adjust to living within the mutant community while accepting and even embracing what they are
B: Be current students still learning how to control their mutation

The Professors? All the weight of having to deal with these kids as well as some adult refugees, being X-Men, and trying to maintain their private/social lives has fallen on their shoulders as they’ve taken up the mantle of leadership.

And they are all dealing with the rising threat of a Human vs Mutant Civil War in which they may face a holocaust of the Mutants, though there are mutant forces who will, of course, try to make it a holocaust of the humans.

A few things that I should point out about each character.

Zalika is the daughter of Ororo and T'challa Munroe and is technically a princess, as Chibueze is a prince. Though they both chose to stay in the United States and take over running the Academy in the absence of the others since their graduation and have teaching degrees. They grew up with Morgan, Cataleia, Markus, and Edward and have all been best friends for as long as they could remember.

Zalika has all the same abilities as her mother while Chi's mutation reigns over the realm of nature. He is able to manipulate and generate plants of all sorts and even create hybrid/mutant plants.

Edward has the same powers as his grandfather (Magneto) and his mother (Polaris), he is able to manipulate the earth's electromagnetic fields. He also has green hair like his mother, but often keeps it dyed. He has a degree in Geophysics.

Morgan despite rumors does not have her mother's powers. The Phoenix also never manifested within her because the Phoenix left her mother and went missing years ago. Morgan has the ability to see and feel what others feel. She can also change their feelings as long as they don't know that she's doing it or they don't have the will strong enough to resist it. She has a degree in Psychology.

Markus is American/Russian and has the ability to manipulate the time around him within a fifty foot radius and can focus this ability on individual objects. He has a degree in Mathematics Applications.

Cataleia has the ability to generate and manipulate lights and sounds and while she doesn't have a degree like all the other teachers do, she is a master of various martial arts and weaponry and also spearheads the Fine Arts classes. (The class listed under her name is all one class) She is also a native of Brazil and her father is the old Combat Instructor as well as the leader of a mutant gang.

Yes, these characters are all my original creations meant for various X-Men and Marvel Fandoms, but I'd like to see how others would portray them.

Spoiler: Rules 

1. Professionalism. This RP is intended for those who are able to make and bring a good story to an end, as such we expect each player to have a certain level of professionalism, present original and interesting characters, contribute to the story and not drop-out without even notifying.
   
   
2. The decisions taken throughout the story will influence and affect the world around our characters. Every major choice has a consequence and will count towards the different endings.
   
   
3. This RP is intended to be somewhere around 17+ as such romance, gore and tasteful "adult" situations are accepted. What that basicaly means is that you are allowed to hint towards "steamy-romantic-situations" but nothing more, should you want to...emm... engage into detail then take that to the PMs. Blood, gore and violence is allowed at just about any levels as long as you don't exagerate. Strong language is also allowed but again, don't overkill.
   
   
4. Stay civil on the OoC thread - All personal spats should be taken to PMs.
   
   
5. No metagaming, mixing, auto-hitting, or godmoding. Its unattractive. If you want to autohit someone's character, ask permission first. Also, don't carry out battles through the IC like normal posts. Do a collaboration.
   
   
6. Keep IC posts detailed - At least try to maintain 3+ paragraphs of detail with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Try to refrain from multiple short sentences containing six or less words. Also make sure to read everyone's posts and reply in accordance to whatever may pertain to your character. Also: When posting, don't post a bunch of meaningless BS just to take up word space.
   
   
7. Don't post multiple times within a small time frame for dialogue - Collaborate with the other player(s) in RPG Write and post the Character Interaction as one post. This is not a race to see who can post before everyone else, so I suggest that there should be at least one post from each other Player between your last post and your next.
   
   
8. Be active both In Character and Out of Character. I understand that you've got a life behind your screen to attend to and shit happens. But I seek active players. Don't apply to this RolePlay if you won't be able to keep committed to it. If you think that you might get 1/3 into the story and then lose interest, don't apply. If you're going to be gone for 4+ days, let someone know beforehand - I suggest that in the case of your extended absence, you should designate another player that you think would do well to play your character until your return. If you suddenly lose interest, don't just dip out and leave your character here. Kill them off or send them away via IC.
   
   
9. Please try to be original and creative when making your character and don't make a Mary-Sue or a Gary-Stu. Your characters have to have some sort of flaws; Be it emotional, physical, mental, or psychological.
   
   
10. I will allow the use for reservations. Be warned, reservations will only last for 24 hours. That should be sufficient time for you to think of your character and find the necessary information you need. If you need more time, do not hesitate to ask for it. Also note that I have the power to reduce the time if I see fit. I usually do not allow reservations, but for now I will make an exception. There are limited spots so this is not a first come first serve. Just because a spot is reserved doesn’t necessarily mean that someone else cannot ask for that spot and it does not mean guaranteed acceptance. I know this might seem like it cancels out a reserved spot, but it does not. I will allow two people to reserve one spot. It’ll be like a battle for the spot. Characters will be accepted depending on how detailed they are and if they followed the rules.
    
    
11. I am God of this Role-play as this Role-play is my child. I am not a wrathful God, but I do not take kindly to those who usurp my throne. Please, let’s keep everything civilized and just have fun. If you would like to be my co-gm, then please do not hesitate to PM me. I could always use someone to help me manage this role-play and move it along.
    
    
12. I intend this RolePlay to be as close to Marvel as possible. So, feel free to give your character awesome powers - Though I will limit the amount of 'OverPowered' characters to six. When all the characters are all powerful, things get dull because things become nothing more than a power contest. I warn you now - If your character begins to get out of hand because of your inablity to adapt them to the proper setting for the RolePlay to flourish, I hold the right to kill them off. As I stated before - I am God of this RolePlay. I am kind and fair. But I will not allow the story to be wrecked by immaturity. But they will not be godly. They will have weaknesses.
    
    
13. Be logical - The longer your student has been at the Academy, the better control they'll have over their mutation. Keep that in mind.
    
    
14. There are Face Claims for my OCs that are up for "adoption". Those are characters that are critical to the story. You don't have to use the Face Claims I've provided, though I'd prefer it. Just let me know if you want to change out the Face Claim. You may ask why I have Face Claims - Simply because I know that for some people it's hard to imagine a clear picture of someone's character and Face Claims do help out quite a bit. Especially when dealing with writers who have problems when it comes to trying to describe physical appearance.
    
    
15. Again, there are limited roles as I do not want this RP to be overrun with too many characters. An RP tends to die when there are more and more characters in it. In your character sheet where the spot for password is, in capital letters, put Lalo if you have read the rules.

Physical Appearance
Zalika's eyes are particularly unique. Resulting from a mixture of the Ashake and Oshtur bloodlines as well as the magic potential from both, her eyes are neither blue nor brown like either of her parents. Rather, her eyes are a mixture of blue and green, but the retinas are not solid. The patterns of the retina is similar to sparks of electricity. Her grandmother on her father's side has often suggested that the patterns on her retinas are old tribal inscriptions granted to her by the Panther Deity that they worship. Her pupil is actually slitted as resembling that of a feline's. Zalika's build is a mixture of athletic and sensual. She's quite short for her age, legally qualified as a midget as she stands at 4'11". Her limbs are slender and her stomach well toned, showing a faint outline of a four-pack. Her biceps and triceps are actually very well toned as are her deltoids. No bulging muscles though. She is quite the health freak and obsessive about her figure even though she eats like she'll never eat again every time she sees food. Though she makes up for the calorie intake with a rigorous workout. She's extremely flexible and seems to have been well-built for endurance, being known to be able to take a hit just as well as the next and possibly even a bit more. Her legs are long and very well toned, seeming to be made for the great amount of agility and grace that she possesses. She weighs in at 115lbs and sports a tattoo of a black panther clawing up her right calf. Her hair is as white as new-fallen snow and extends to the middle of her back, though she's been seen dying it to various shades of blue and black the past few years.

Voice Tone
Zalika's voice is rather soft but with a definite undertone of sass and authority that gives the impression that she is not the woman that you'd want to get into an altercation with, either verbally or physically. Her African accent is a bit Americanized considering the amount of time that she's spent within the states, but still there.

Personality
Zalika is a very emotional type woman, unable to hide any strong emotion. She is also very stubborn and strong-willed. She's very easy to get along with due to her carefree spirit most of the time. She's extremely protective over and loyal to those that she cares for, willing to lay her life on the line for them. Zalika is extremely intelligent, but she has an unorthodox way of showing it, preferring to play around. When in a bad mood, she's never really the best person to be around. Though generally very laid back and cheerful, when on missions, she keeps her head in the game and spends a lot of time preparing herself emotionally and mentally for anything that may come her way. She's a tough woman, but also very sensitive when it comes to the words and actions of those she really cares for. She's also very much a daddy's girl and highly spoiled. But she does have very good work ethic. When she wants to, anyways.

Zalika has a nasty habit of scratching her palms when she gets overly anxious, and because of this, she has multiple scars on both of her hands. She also has an obsessive need to eat at least half a pack of Oreos each day. She's also obsessed with her health and can be found in the gym after splurging on junk food.

Mutation Attributes

• She can control the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture (at a molecular level), generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure.
• She can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and hurricanes, as well as mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well.
• Her precise control over the atmosphere allows her to create special weather effects. She can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, channel ambient electromagnetism through her body to generate electric blasts, flash freeze objects and people, and summon wind currents strong enough to support her weight to elevate herself to fly at high altitudes and speeds.
• She can also control the pressure inside the inner ear, an ability she uses to cause intense pain. A trick her mother taught her as a child.
• She can also bend light using moisture in the air and her manipulation of mist and fog to appear partially transparent, and, nearly invisible, though she is still perfecting it and it can only be used when her target is standing still.
• She has also demonstrated the ability to control the electromagnetic field. She can control it around herself, but not quite so skilled at warping it around others.
• Resistance to Magic due to a connection with an African Panther God and another unknown African Panther Deity.
• Inter-dimensional transportation by help of her ancestral ruby passed down to her by her mother and lightning.
• Her physiology grants her a total immunity to extreme weather conditions and temperatures of heat and cold. Her body compensates for rapid decreases or increases in atmospheric pressure.

Weaknesses

• Her emotions. Unlike her mother, she can't hide everything she's feeling. If emotionally compromised, she's a loose cannon until her anger is resolved. One only needs to push the right buttons long enough.
• Electromagnetic blasts/pulses. Seemingly the only thing that can disturb her own electromagnetic field, rendering her momentarily dazed.
• Mortal. She is still as susceptible to mortal wounds as a regular human.
• Loved ones. She cares very much for those that she considers her family and will often act recklessly if their life is in immediate danger, doing anything that she think might save them.
• Geography. She's just as bad at it as Cataleia is, if not worse.
• Her undying sweet tooth.

Equipment
Zalika wears a ruby necklace at all times that she got from her mother and also sports a tongue piercing. She has only one vehicle which is a '97 Cherry Red Ford Mustang. It's her baby and she's rather proud of it and takes as much care of it as Cataleia does her hair.

Fashion
Zalika usually wears nothing less than designer brand clothes unless she's working out. It's not that she's snobby, she just really loves her designer wear. She absolutely adores silk clothing and has a lot of silk blouses. When time comes to work, she can usually be spotted in a brightly colored cotton or silk blouse with a pencil skirt or dress pants. Like Cat, she has a notorious love for heels and has only three pairs of shoes that aren't boots or heels.

Skills
Zalika has shown the strong will of her parents, giving her the will-power to keep getting back up and resist attacks and intrusions on her mind. She also has strong electromagnetic fields in constant motion about her, making her highly resistant to mental attacks. Having her X-gene "activated" at a very young age and having it attended to, she has near perfect control over her powers and has mastered each attribute. She is a highly skilled acrobat, negotiator, and leader.

Flaws/Disabilities
Zalika has the same repression issues as Cataleia, though it's not quite as debilitating. Whenever she gets overly anxious, she has an awful habit of wringing her hands and scratching her palms - This has resulted in a number of scars on her hands.

Biography
Early childhood - Shortly after T'Challa and Ororo Munroe retired from X-Men and The Avengers Project, they began a family life in Wakanda - And thus, Zalika and Chibueske were born.

She lead a normal life up until the death of her best friend Amani, who was brutally beaten by her father in drunken rage. The event scarred Zalika deeply, the trauma activating her X-gene. Her powers were the exact same as her mother's, discovered when her depression and anger turned Amani's sunny funeral into a terrible storm.

Not long after, the six year old and her mother packed up and left their home in Wakanda and headed to 1407 Graymalkin Lane in Salem Center, Westchester County, New York...otherwise known as Xavier's Institution for Gifted Youngsters, better known as The Mutant Academy. Her mother agreed to rejoin the Team and Staff during their stay and T'Challa promised that he would return to the US as often as possible for visits to his daughter with Chi. (Chi, by the way, soon joined his sister at the Academy when he discovered his mutation)

School days -Zalika was always a handful in class, very high-spirited and quick to start a fight when there was a bully nearby. She actually rather enjoyed school, particularly the 'Mutant Classes'. Like the others, she took normal classes of Math, Science, English, Social Studies, Music, Art, etc etc throughout her school days. She excelled in English, Science, and Math throughout her School days. She was a curious child and constantly had her nose in a book when she wasn't doing anything else, or following her teachers around, asking as many questions as she could think of, retaining all the information she received. Zalika was always a flirt in class until she started dating Edward Eisenhardt at the age of 16. She became close friends with Morgan Summers, Cataleia del Rosario, and Markus Seliks.

She grew more mature as she went on, though she remained high-spirited and quick to put a bully in its' place. At the age of 15, her mother and Scott began to groom her for taking control of the Team and Institute. At the age of 17, she graduated from the Academy.

After Grad - Zalika spent three years after graduation as an unofficial Avenger much to her mother's protests - She wanted to explore her options - , during which time, she tightened her bond with S.H.I.E.L.D., gaining the organization as an ally. The majority of her time was spent focusing on Xavier's Institute and her New Generation team. Finally, she bid Avengers adieu and focused all of her attention on her wards and colleagues. When she was 21, she and Edward Eisenhardt finally got married.

Extracurricular Activities - Zalika was more than active throughout school, her schedule always filled with school work and club/team activities. She competed frequently in whatever she could. She was a Girls' Volleyball Team Captain, a member of the Track Team, Soccer Team, Gymnastics Team.

Now - After Zalika took the reins, her parents returned to Wakanda and only visit on holidays, though Zalika hasn't used that as an excuse to slack. She is still infamous for her notorious love of Oreos, Disney, heels, pasta, and Pokemon. She plans on taking more online college courses later. She studies Interior Design, Atmospheric Sciences & Meteorology, English Literature, and Agricultural Sciences in her free time.

Physical Appearance
Cat is a short young woman standing at a whopping five feet, weighing in at one hundred twenty-one pounds. Her Brazilian heritage has granted her beautiful caramel colored flesh while her love of hygiene has granted her a smooth comlexion. She refuses to cut her dark, chocolate mane, therefore its found its way extending just short of her waist. Her eyes variate between the colors of a soft powdery blue with green flecks and a stormy grey hue. Her physique is one to marvel – Not just the curves, but the muscle. Though she looks petite and harmless at first with slender limbs, well-cut muscles become visible with just a flex. Though not quite manly. The whole of her back is covered with a celtic cross being embraced by a rose and its thorny vines. On her right foot is a blue rosary that shows the beads wrapping about her ankle while the cross itself rests atop her foot. Her right forearm reads Descanse em paz: Melina Rodriguez y Javier Rodriguez del Rosario in memory of her dead brother and mother. She sports a rather dashing bullet wound scar on the left side of her abdomen. She’s usally got some kind of pretty ornament dangling from her navel – Yes her navel is pierced, as is her tongue and her ears from tip to bottom. Long story short: She's the personification of deadly beauty.

She loves candy, often receiving some from her mother as a child when she would perform exceptionally during dance practice.
She also loves sparring, having spent most of her childhood doing so with her father and becoming the school's top fighter without use of mutation.

Cat is very outgoing, never afraid of a challenge. She's flirtatious and not afraid to use her seduction to get her what she needs. She relies on her charm and slight manipulation to get her out of tight spots. Her ego is rather large, though so is her heart. She can be really kind and always protective, but as sweet as she is, she can be a bitch as well. She's usually passive aggressive about her anger at first. Once she’s been thoroughly pissed off...watch out. She’s prone to taking her anger out through violence unless she’s been directed elsewhere by someone close enough to know how to handle her. Cataleia has always been one to be optimistic, but she has her own pains like everyone else. Rather than sob to others, she finds release in her lights and music in the most cliché of ways. Yes, she will sing and dance her heart out in solitude, surrounding herself with beautiful lights with which she finds her comfort and serenity. Cataleia loves cars. She doesn’t know shit about them other than she likes how they look. She has her own four vehicles that she was gifted by her father over the years and she takes care of them as though they were her children. Cataleia is a very busy young woman. She seems to always be practicing something, though that just adds up to her resume of skills. Though, as of lately, she’s decided that she knows enough and will be relaxing just a little bit more. When time comes that she, her loved ones, or an innocent person is threatened, she becomes a cold-natured woman that would not bat an eye at taking life if it meant that an innocent life would be spared.

Of course, many will look at this and let their jaw drops, thinking that it's a lot - It's really not. Most of it is just how light and sound can be used to harm people. Scientifically based.

Weaknesses
Blackholes are Cataleia’s weakness as far as her power is related. If her lights and sounds and those around her are taken away, her power is useless. As far as physically, her right arm is her weakness – Hitting it with enough force will cause it to paralyze completely usually for about an hour and a half. She also sucks at geography to the point she has it in her mind that Russia is West of the US and will argue her point that if you travel west long enough, you’ll hit Russia. So navigation = Not her thing.

Equipment
Cataleia has two garters that sheathe ten kunai a piece. Other than that, she has twin katanas – She has never used a gun never will. Items of sentimental value would have to include the locket around her neck that shows a picture of a younger her, her deceased twin, her deceased mother, and her father. She has four vehicles – A 2009 deep purple Chevy Avalanche, a 1969 royal blue Dodge Charger, a 2014 hot pink Chevy Camaro z28, and a 2016 olive Mustang Cobra. All of her cars have pictures on the dashboards of herself, her mother, her brother, her father, and deceased friends. In her room, she has a photo album with doubles of those pictures and then some. Cat is never ever without her iPhone and her iPad.

Fashion
Corresponding with her personality and her physique, Cataleia wears revealing clothing – Her shorts are short and and pants are tight. Her tops are low cut if not mostly unbuttoned. She favors the colors purple, blue, pink, and green and is rarely seen wearing something not of those colors unless its black. She usually has her hair down unless she training/working out, then its tossed up in a messy bun that usually falls down later on anyways. She doesn’t wear any bracelets or watches, hating to have her wrists cluttered. The only jewelry she’ll wear are her navel piercings, earrings, tongue piercings, rings, and necklaces. She hates hoop earrings.

Skills
Academically, Cataleia excels in American and British Literature. She’s also an expert in Photology and Psychoacoustics. Physically, the girl’s body is a weapon of mass destruction – Her father is a professional martial artist that’s been training his daughter since she was walking. She now has claimed a red belt, two black belts, and a brown belt. 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, 2nd Dan Black Belt in Capoeira, 2nd Dan Red Belt in Muay Thai, and 2nd Dan Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu. It goes without saying that Cataleia is a wonderful singer, though often times she’s actually shy about singing in front of people. With her martial arts training, her father taught her a bit of acrobatics. Not enough for her to be a master, but enough for her to get by. Though no-one has yet found out, Cataleia is in fact, a contortionist. Stealth is her middle name. Nuff said. Cat’s skills of manipulation, charm, and seduction just about rival Remy LeBeau's. She is multi-lingual and currently is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Yiddish, Italian, German, and French – Though she’s still learning more. From her years of training, Cataleia has a deep sense of focus and can feel when her mind is being invaded – She can sometimes use her will and focus to force the invader out. She can also predict her opponent’s next move as far as melee fighting, based on their stance and their body movements. Not all the time, but a good deal of the time. Last, but not least – Cataleia is a professional dancer. She also plays piano and guitar expertly. She an expert marksman when wielding her kunai and shuriken and an expert swordswoman when wielding any blade.

Flaws/Disabilities
Cataleia has a serious repression issue when it comes to her less than happy emotions. She bottles her regret, sorrow, and fears and keeps them bottled for long amounts of time. This often results in nightmares and a loss of sleep that she’ll catch up on during the day. When her emotional walls come down, she often suffers from dysphoric mania. Something that a few people have noticed, but no-one says anything about is the fact that she often hallucinates, seeing and speaking to her deceased loved ones - Generally when she’s alone. She knows they’re dead, but she wants to believe that they aren’t.

Personal History
Cataleia-Inocencía Melina Rodriguez del Rosario was born in Goiânia, Brazil with her twin brother Javíer. Their father was a master of Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, Judo, Taekwondo, and weaponry. Their mother was a small-time performer. Cataleia and Javíer lead carefree lives, both training under their parents to one day follow in their footsteps. At the age of 8 years old, Javíer displayed a show of lights in the grocery store after being cornered by bullies from school. It wasn't intended, his mutation rose in his defense. He used their disoriented state to open a can of Judo whupass on them before his mother quickly rushed him home and locked down the house. Mutants weren't welcomed by many in Goiânia. It wasn't long before angry antimutant extremists found their way there. Javíer was desperate to show them that he was no monster, walking out with his hands up, his mother right beside him. Cataleia was peeking from behind a curtain, restrained by her father. In an instant, the angry mob opened fire, gunning down Cat's mother and twin before her very eyes. The police arrived too late. The funeral was large, but short. Estéban needed to get Cataleia out of there - Just in case. They packed their things and moved to Arizona. For the first three months, Cataleia mourned; barely eating, sleeping, or training. And then her ninth birthday came - She went to her father, telling him of her mutation, asking if she was an abomination like the extremists claimed mutants to be. Estéban had a long talk with his daughter, assuring her that he loved her all the same as before. He also went on to explain that she should not weep and dwell on their loss, but instead live for them, as they would have wished. He admitted to her that he, too, was a mutant. From then on, Cataleia resumed her training in Martial Arts, Dance, and expanding her natural musical and performing talents. She had never trained so hard before, intent on training not just for herself, but her mother and brother as well. She refused to stop and began exploring the uses of her mutation. When she was ten years old, she had already grabbed hold of her mutation and could handle it fairly well. Her father had gone to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters shortly after and asked if his daughter could stay there and receive training. She was accepted gladly and he too was allowed to stay nearby and even become Combat Instructor for a while until he left to resume command of Anjos da Guarda - A vigilante gang of mutants that had many branches throughout Hispanic countries, forming a sort of secret society. They were the X-Men for the Hispanic countries. Though, their focus was moreso on rescuing mutants by eliminating their attackers, captors, or harassers and leading them to a secret Mutant Utopia...

• When Cat is upset, small lights that are often multicolored flash around her body like little camera flashes.
• Her blood is luminescent, so it appears that her body gives off a glow, though she can force it not to with ease.
