Greenteeth - I just finished reading Kushiels Dart - Awesome book! I'm looking forward to the rest of them, hopefully they are just as good!
I personally really liked the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.
I loved it simply because it had assassins in it, and that's what caught my eye, but the story took me over, like i finished the first book and I immediately went out and bought the next two the next day. The only thing that stopped me from getting them the night I finished them, was the fact that the book stores were closed.
Spoiler: Jareth Banner

Yup Next year, can't wait!
Also they are releasing them with different covers over here which I think look pretty awesome![]()
And thus the Cacti army marches...

I admit it. Back when as a snot-nosed awkward 14 year old virgin, I had fanboy-gasms over Drizzt Do'Urden, the dual-wielding angsty renegade dark elf from RA Salvatore's books. The guy was unique among a bevy of 1980s/1990s D&D fiction heroes: unusual race, unusual fighting style, unusual focus on dexterity and agility instead of blasting spells or brute strength. He was basically the Western fantasy literature version of a Shounen anime hero.
Now, mind you, the writing is crap that's about the same level of most fanfiction.
But DAYUM if it wasn't entertaining when you're 14 yeard old.
The Artemis Fowl series is just unbelievably epic, despite being a teen's series. Seriously though, Fowl Junior is one of the most badass fictional characters I know, and will always be close to my heart (though that sounds kinda cheesy :P).
However, I still have yet to get the two latest books, due to lack of time, so I'm pretty behind...:/
Wit can be a bastard sometimes.
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. It's huge and immensely detailed. Slow at times, but I liked the fact that it made magic seem completely believable.

Chris Wooding's - A Tale of the Ketty-Jay series of books are awesome. Just learnt the third one "The Iron Jackal" has been released. If it continues on like the first 2, should make for a really cool book.
