Default What genres do you roleplay?

As the title says, tell my/us what sort of things do you roleplay. I do pretty much anything, if I can adapt my characters to it I will, but I mainly do high school and gifted, but I have also been known to do odd pairings and I have been craving a good sci-fi roleplay. I also do chatplays, but that's anopther story. Oh but I don't do Twilight, not that I don't like it or anything, I just don't think you can really change it much and make your own story for the main characters from the books/movies.

I prefer Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Gritty Realistic ones (or a mix of those three and some parodies that fall within those categories). Really I'm pretty open to most, just starting a Tactical one at the moment for the first time so I'll see how that turns out. I tend to stay away from Romance ones.

I would rather gouge my own eyeballs out with a salty seashell than partake in a Twilight RP. Because I despise the book. The film is actually not the problem for me, but for a book like that to be so widely acclaimed just baffles me. I'd probably spend most my time trying to set up elaborate traps to kill Mr Sparkly in the RP. Or I'd make a Blade-esque character. I think it's best I just stay away from Twilight RPs for everyones sake

I've mostly done RPs in the sci-fi genre, also fantasy time-travel, but my favorite was an urban paranormal. Though we had vampires and such, they mostly stayed in the background as the RP was more about magic and the forces of dark and light.

Mostly sci-fi in the past, either futuristic or evolution themed. I also did a fair deal of fantasy steampunk. Since then I've developed a taste for Mythos Horror though, so I'm always up for a good game of Cthulhu. Other than that it's more individual games that catch my attention rather than genres.

Personally, I try to do RPs that subvert expectations

For example, back in the day when I was around as Tensa, I did the first street racing RP on RPA.

I did a 'school of the gifted' RP which wasn't a school: it was an institution which was effectively a massive learning resource in it's own pocket dimension who would hire it's staff and students out to fix supernatural problems.

And now I got Project Aces. Dogfights!

    Basically, if it's rather odd,

I'm relatively new to RPing, believe it or not, but I prefer sci-fi or futuristic RPs. Fantasy doesn't really do it for me for some reason. Even so, if the RP has a really good story and good people playing, I don't care what it's about, I'll be interested.

But yeah, like Adapa and Sigma, it's more about the actual RP than the genre.

I prefer sci-fi, fantasy, and any mix of the two. However, if it has a good cast, and good story, I would join.
