Atlantis, a civilization shrouded in mystery and myth; many believe that such a place never existed. That it was merely created as a childrens story and inspired a few childrens movies. However, they couldn't have been anymore wrong.

Atlantis has risen from the depths, a massive seismic event occurred, and a few short days later the city was spotted rising from the depths of Marianas Trench in the Pacific. The world erupted into chaos and confusion as the fabled city had proved that it was not so "Mythical", and now the world's leading countries are fighting over who gets to archaeological find of the century. However, things are not as they seem with the fabled city of Atlantis...

Russia was reported to have sent her best fleet to the ancient city in hopes of claiming it for herself, however that was nearly three weeks ago; Nothing has been heard from them since. Russia blames America for the loss of contact with their fleet and America is denying their involvement in the disappearance.

China in an effort to succeed where Russia failed sent their three best fleets to take Atlantis for themselves; and like Russia, contact was lost with their naval forces as they arrived at the ancient city. China blamed Russia, and accused them of using stealth fighters to bomb their ships.

China and Russia are at the brink of war with one another, and this war would spell doom for the continent of Europe. So, in an effort to stop this impending war looming just over the horizon, America approached NATO with a request that they be allowed to send researchers from various fields of expertise into Atlantis to try and find out what happened to the missing Russian and Chinese fleets.

It is your mission to explore Atlantis and look for traces of the Russian and Chinese Navy. The fate of Europe and the World rests on your shoulders. Can you save them?

Rules:
I am GM and my word is law.
Please respect all members of the game, and do not cause unnecessary drama within the OOC. There will be enough in the IC, we don't need it here as well.
There will most likely be death in this game. There is no guarantee that you will survive, so be prepared for this outcome. I will PM you should you be the chosen candidate for death. This will be completely random.
There is a limit of 1 character per player. Just to keep it fairly easy to track who is who.
This game will include both realistic and fictional elements. However, it will mostly consist of realistic elements.
I encourage you to carry some sort of weapon on your person at all times during Game. You never know what may be lurking in the dark.
I reserve the right to edit these rules at any time.

That's how he got into The Boston University, he attended there in Boston Massachusetts. He was always Adventurous and Curious, which lead him to Archaeology. He studied it for six years. He got married when he was twenty four with a women name Mary Goldman. He had a kid two years later, named Rick Walkers. Rick is now two years old, with two loving parents, but often John has to leave for his career. He started his first dig site a few months ago and found his first bones, which belonged to a Neanderthal. Now he is being asked to check out Atlantis and cannot believe it. The problem is he must found out where and what happened to the Russian and Chinese Navy that were sent.
Appearance: John has short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a goatee. He is 5'9" and 220 lbs. He is well built, meaning he has a descent amount of muscle. He usually wears a hat and sunglasses, a white t-shirt and cargo shorts.

Bio: Lara came from a working class family and fought her way into the University of Edinburgh, she studied hard, making little friends. She specialised in the mythology of Ancient civilisations and Archaeology. She took part in many digs primarily based in Rome and Athens. She has been a loner most of her life, remaining on the outskirts of all social groups. She prefers to spend her time in the library and her few friends are much older than her, be they professors, tutors or librarians. She is alone in life and her life outside of her work include nights in spent with her cat. She was to study to become a professor, however her fear of public speaking stopped this in its tracks, she instead chose to join digs specified to Ancient civilisations and was approached by the army to be involved. She is slightly wary but her sense of adventure and curiosity has gotten the best of her.

Appearance: Lara stands at 5,5 with long brown hair which is kept in a pony tail or bun. She has green eyes with freckles dotting over her face. She is weak looking but after many years of being a lackie on digs has quite a bit of strength for someone her size. She has a long scar running along her upper right arm where she fell on a dig and cut herself badly on a flint knife. When on digs she will be seen in ¾ light brown trousers and a deep blue tee shirt with her trowel hanging off her belt.
