WELCOME!

Hellooooo everyone~ To those who know me at least a little bit, this may be old news, but to those who don't know, I'm an artist. I'm a writer first, but I do that art thing every once in a while too XD As of right now I'm not in school or employed, and between the important day to day tasks around the house, boredom tends to be the bane of my existence. Rather than waste my days away doing nothing of particular interest, I decided to self-teach myself some things! So between various other learning experiences (and yes some just-for-fun-nothing-of-particular-interest things XD) I've been working on my anatomy, coloring, lighting, shading, etc. skills as an artist as well as in developing my own fantasy-esque style outside of just anime crap.

Because this is just RPA, I might not show all of the pieces, but I'll do my best to! Either way, here's a ToC for your convenience :3

I'm doing Iron Artist! ...what's Iron Artist?

Iron Artist is when an artist does 100 different pieces of artwork in order to better their skills in a certain area, such as anatomy, lighting/shading, blending, etc. Sometimes artists will time themselves, sometimes they'll sell commissions for this, and sometimes they won't. It's different for each artist :3 "So what are you working on?" you might ask. Personally, I'm working on my anatomy. I'm trying to focus on human anatomy more right now, but I would like to get some anthro anatomy in there as well and work on my skills overall. Specifically, my weakest points are hands, feet, paws, legs, snouts/inhuman faces, and hair (may be edited as I work more and learn more about my weaknesses and strengths). If anyone has any advice on how to improve my skills, please, don't hesitate to throw them my way :D

I'm accepting critique!

Because I'm working on my skills as an artist, I am open and welcome to good critique. As long as you give me helpful advice, then I will be more than happy to accept it :3 Just use the sandwich method if you don't know what I mean by "helpful" or "good:"

(Bread) Compliment/something you like/something I did well
(Meat) What you didn't like/something you woulda liked better done differently/what's wrong with it AAAAND how to fix it/how I could improve
(Bread) compliment/something you like/something I did well.

Sandwich method = good, bad, good, and it usually works out just fine~

Those are gorgeous! Simply stunning. <3 what programs do you use?

I'm so jealous though. I've been trying to get into FR for at least 8 months + now.

I'ma be frank I dunno what you mean by programs :I I only do traditional art right now, the sketches below their dragony comparisons :P The pictures of the dragons are from FR if that's what you mean. They have some spectacular artists as well, but not me lolz :3 *goes to make that a bit more clear* Sorry for the confusion

And oh my gosh FR is awesome; I have a friend who wants on there just as badly. I'll shoot you a PM when they're accepting users again if you'd like!

I would love to know when they open! I've been desperate to get in. Aren't they supposed to open again really really soon? For good?

I dunno if they're gonna permanently open quite yet. They recently had a bit of an issue where someone hacked an admin account so they might not be too comfortable getting a bunch of people like that in; there's also a lot of things on the site that need tweaking and fixing up before they can say it's ready for launch, and beyond that they have features they are hoping to add as well. I would consider the website now sorta in beta mode with a lot of progress needing to be made before we can safely say it's done, and the users now are beta testers in a way lolz

I do hope that they open for some more users soon though! My best friend Helix wants to join so bad
