Onmund put on a brave face and nodded. He wanted to make his mom happy, he knew she must feel sad to. He hugged her and buried his face in her chest.

Inside the man's wife had already laid dinner out for them, knowing they must be hungry from the journey. Caleb thanked him and the wife took Selli out of his arms and took her to a bed. The wife than examined Selli's condition while Caleb and the man talked.

"Your journey must not have been easy." The man finally spoke.

"It wasn't the journey that was hard." Caleb said watching the fire burn.

Selli writhed and wiggled under the sheets, but eventually she began to calm down as the lady treated her. Just before she fell asleep, she saw something through the window.
It could have been a shadow, but it wasn't.
    It was her friend.
    Caliban.
    _________

Aoife held Onmund close and petted his head.
    "We'll be fine, I promise"

Onmund nodded and then headed of to bed. He fell asleep without any problem. In his dreams he dreamed he was playing with Selli in the woods. They were wolves playing as they always did.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Caleb stayed up and talked with the man for hours.

"It's best you keep on the road. Never stay anywhere for to long. Avoid making connects, and staying with people for to long. For now it's best you two settle with a convey. They'll help you get used to the road and help you learn so skills to earn money. After that though you should go your separate way from them. It's probably wise sir, you also find yourself a new name. Aeto might believe your dead now, but he'll have spies and you may have a few months maybe even a few years before he'll find somethings not right."

Caleb listened to all the advise the man gave him on how to stay hidden. It made him wonder how this man knew all this. Perhaps it was simply Caleb that didn't know and to everyone else this was common knowledge. The man explained things to Caleb he never would have thought off.

After a while the two ran out of things to say and the wife chimed in to explain what was going on with Selli.

The woman dusted off her hands as she entered the room once more. With a concerned look on her face seturned to Caleb.
"I'm not sure what happened but she hit her head hard"
The woman shook her own head as she sat down
"But she's a tough little thing, she should wake up soon enough"
For a while she said nothing. Then she spoke
"She might not remember eveything though, if we're lucky she'll at least know who you are"

Aoife let the fire flicker out before making her way to her own bed. She sat up her knees tucked close to her chest. The flames of the previous night flickered in her mind. It was only just occuring to her what she'd truly lost.
    Her home.
    Friends.
    Family.
    Caleb.

    Oh Gods.
    Caleb.
She'd let him and Selli die, while she escaped with Onmund. Aoife wept silently into her covers before finally falling to sleep

Caleb let out a heavy sigh upon hearing the news of Selli. He sat down. He thought things couldn't get any worse than they already were.

    "Thank you."

He said thanking her for her help. He ate before everyone heading off to bed. They were generous and offered him their bed to sleep. Even if he had lost his throne, to them they had the rightful king standing in their living room. Caleb however declined and willingly slept in living room.

He did little sleeping really. He sat and watched the fire, thinking of everything that had happened. On their journey here there was little time to think. Aoife and Onmund . . and the baby. He had almost forgotten about the baby. The poor child wouldn't have stood a chance in the flames and it never got a name. He had convinced himself that Aoife and Onmund would have been long dead by the time they escaped and Selli's survival was pure luck. He had to force himself not to relive the events to think what he could do differently and to be simply grateful he had Selli.

Selli opened her eyes. Slowly she sat up. Caliban was sat by her side. She sighed and rubbed at her eyes yawning.
"Oh, Hello again. How did you get in here? Where is here?"
"If it matters I can be anywhere I wish to be"

    "That must be useful"
She looked around her suddenly confused
    "Where am I?"
Caliban remained silent. Slowly he stood up and motioned towards the door.
    "Your Father is through there"
For a minute Selli was confused. Suddenly she leapt up and scurried into the living room. Before her Father could speak she clambered onto his lap and burried her face into his chest

Caleb looked up upon hearing the door to the bed room open. Before saying anything Selli was in his arms. Caleb wrapped his arms around her and comforted her. He didn't know what to say to her so he simply held her and let her speak first if she wanted to.

Selli looked up at Caleb. As if trying to recognise him.
    "Dad?"
She looked down around the room
    "Where are we?"

Caleb smiled weakly at Selli and brushed the hair at her face.

"We're with friends sweetheart. You fell while we were on the road. You'll be fine. We'll stay here for a day so you can rest a little bit."

Caleb's voice was calm but it risked cracking. He didn't want to upset Selli.

He had decided perhaps this was something good. Perhaps things would be easier if Selli didn't remember everything they lost. He'd never speak of their life before, it would be easier that way. She'd simply adjust as if this was the only life she ever knew. It was for the best.

Danny and Davey sat on the roof of a tower overlooking Sareas.
Or what was left of it.

    "Bit of a mess"
    "Quite"
"Few lives have been messed up too"
    "Too many friends..."

    Silence passed for a while

    "So"
    "What are we gonna do?"

    Silence passed once more
    "Start a bussiness?"
    "Yeah, Why not"

    Tailte was never the same.
