Name: Arasinya 'Sin'
Age: Twenty Four (24)
Gender: Female
Race: High Elf
Species: None
Magic or No?: Yes
Appearance:
Personality: Sin, in a basic sense, is a survivor. She's gone through countless turmoils, and has come out of them all; though not always for the better, as the tale of her burnt hand will tell you. Her emotions are very much numb from everything that she has been through, and strong feelings like hate and love seem to be lost on her. Her existence is a monotone one, and she never expresses any feeling. Her speech can be clumsy after years of isolation, as she did not make a habit of talking to anybody besides her horse, but she can converse and make herself heard when she wants to be. In her past life she was a mischievous figure, earning her the nickname 'Sin' when it could have been 'Ara', but over the years that has just faded. She is not an unfriendly being, and instead she seeks out company, but she is not exactly sociable and fails at social interactions.
History: Sin grew up far away from many kinds of civilization, as elves were viewed as dirt under all other race's feet. Being members of the high elves, her family did not approve of this, and moved away from all other creatures and lived far out on the outskirts of Southern Avron. However, Sin was always curious and ran away multiple times to see villages closer into Avron. She always returned though. Once when she was thirteen, she went further into Southern Avron, unintentionally treading into extremely unfriendly territory for elves. She stayed in a local tavern overnight, and a group of unfriendly men came and set the tavern on fire, right under Sin's room. That time, she ran back to her home with multiple third-degree burns and uncountable first and second degree burns as well, which she still bears the scars of.
The most notable burn is on her right hand, which suffered from fourth degree burns as it got caught in the flaming door as she was making her escape. After she returned home that time, she stayed in for four years until the time when she was sixteen years old and she ventured out and returned to her house with her horse Condor. It should be noted that her family made friends with the birds around, and this turned out to be their downfall as a fowl-related flu made its away around. Her brother and father both got infected with this disease when Sin was seventeen; and everybody around in the villages of man refused to give the family the medicine that they needed. A few weeks later, her father and brother died. Left with only her mother who could scarce look after herself, Sin's life was a constant bother for the next year, until her mother died of old age.
After that, Sin made her old family home her base - though it brought back many bad memories. She spent her time training with her weapons and riding her horse Con (see pets section), living in complete solitude and harboring her hatred of mankind after all they had done for her. Over the years her hatred seemed to fade, and so did her feelings; she just stopped feeling things. She was isolated for so many years that she started to forget how to speak, even. That was the state that Dagen's letter found her in, and it pulled her out of the numb and gave her something to do.
How Dagen contacted/knows about you: The story about the girl who survived the tavern fire spread remarkably quickly through villages in Southern Avron, and once the story got through to Northern Avron, a center of trade and being extremely populated as it is, the tale was unstoppable. It would seem that the story reached Dagen's ears; and if you search hard enough, you can find the origin to all stories.
~Inventory~
Item: Metal Glove
(see appearance)
Description: The glove has humble beginnings, first being introduced do Sin's life as a family heirloom. Descending from Sin's father's side, its origins are unknown to her; for her father and eldest brother died before they told her the story behind it, and her mother had never been told the glove's secrets. A few years later when Sin burned her right hand badly, the glove became the object that she shielded her burns with. She unrusted the metal and now it has become quite a formidable piece of wear, and she can pack a good punch with the metal hand.
Item: Short Sword
Description: After growing up using a bow and arrow, it came painfully when Sin first realized that she could not properly use the weapon with her burned hand. Not wanting to be defenseless, she then went searching for other weapons - and promptly fell in love with blademanship in general. Being a fast learner, she soon mastered the short sword; this was easy for her due to already enhanced muscles along her arms from the bow, though she does not use heavier blades due to the fact that they feel awkward in her small hands.
Item: Hunting Knife Collection
Description: Sin calls her series of knives a collection for no particular reason - they are neither varied or many of number. Though they are of different sizes, they all have a treebark handle and leather grip, and are all made of the same metal (this metal is oft called Weltivion steel, and is widely used in Weltivion; meaning that it is of top quality as they are warlike people). The knives are situated on the sash that Sin wears across her body; an accessible and viewable location where they are easy to get to and also warn passerby that the seemingly harmless elf is armed.
Item: Miscellaneous Bracelets
Description: The metal glove was one of many of Sin's family's heirlooms, and the bracelets that she wears are but a few of the others. Made of unknown steel, they remain dull and without shine in the sunlight, but under the light of the moon or stars they seem to glow. Unearthly patterns line the bracelets, creating a image that seems to dance when Sin moves. She has many of them, but only brings a few on her ventures because it is both impractical to wear jewelry while hunting, as they make noise (though these ones in particular do not seem to make a sound) and because she does not want to be stolen. She wears two as armbands on her left arm, and an additional two on her left foot. It is unknown if these could be magical tailsmen of any sort.
~Pet~
A horse named
Condor 'Con' (picture link here), a companion through many adventures; both good and bad. Initially, Con was a wild horse, but was caught in a village laying on the outskirts of Southern Avron, nearby to where Sin grew up. She came across the horse as the local horsemen were trying to tame him; and seeing her interest the human men said that if she could tame him, she could take him. Sin made good use of the opportunity and took the horse home the next day. Since then the two have been amiable companions, though Con tends to be quite disobedient and has a mind of his own; causing Sin to get very frustrated at times. They always make up their disagreements in the end though - usually with a carrot or another fruit vegetable of the sort - because as it so happens, Sin has is quite fond of berries.
