Hey! I'm working on my first post, but I'm not quite sure how to start. Any suggestions?

Well, you're starting in the guild, and I'm already there. You could post an intro, describing your surroundings, a flashback, showing your rescue by another Pokemon, then return to the present to react to what happened to me. At least, that's how I'd do it in your place.

Ok, so is Mal already awake by the time Sonya, and Alina arrive at the Guild? Or did he just wake up? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions, first posts are always hard for me. But once I get in I'm usually ok.
