Age: 28
Weapon: Long bow and Quiver of Arrows, Family’s Sword, Dagger
Equipment/Personal Belongings: His horse [and tack], clothing, basic supplies [whetstone, bedroll, etc.] Mother’s Locket.
Personality: Adventurous, quick witted, and with a love for laughter. Robin Hood was serious about only a few things, the safety of Nottingham’s people. Chivalry and Honor. Never tolerating anything less than that when it came to those he held dear to him and for those wronged by the crown.
Background: Raised by a noble father and much loved mother. Robin was the only child of Lord and Lady Hood. Taught to protect Nottingham by the edge of the sword passed down from father to son for many generations. While never breaking the most important laws of love and honor. His family well respected by the people of Nottingham and nearby, it was a truly dark day when Lady Hood died of illness one harsh winter. Soon followed within a year’s time by his father who couldn’t bear the heartache of being without his wife.
Leaving their son, then just a man of 21, to rule in their absence. He did what he knew best, making sure the people were well taken care of even if it meant helping to plow the fields himself as “a man is only good as the people around him.” Years later; when Prince John began with his persistent ways to try and take what was Robin’s birthright. He refused to pay any more taxes than what was due to the crown rightfully. Knowing that each man and woman earned their coins and living by the very sweat and blood that was put into everything they did. While the Prince seemed to just expect the coins to fall into his greedy hands like raindrops in the spring.
So when he was kicked out of his family’s castle, title removed and forbidden to seek help from Nottingham. He only smiled at the Sheriff upon his departure, vowing that “The people and I will always win, for you are blinded by the Prince’s whip that he snaps from the throne that isn’t even his.”
Settling in a well secluded part of Sherwood Forest, the man lived off the land. Giving back to the people of Nottingham with fresh illegal game, and what coins he could reclaim from noble passers by. Always nearby to serve and protect his people and now all that are wronged by the crown.
