"Welcome to the Labyrinth."

All you here is a gentle voice, a sweet - almost captivating little girl's voice calling to you, welcoming you to something called the 'Labyrinth'.

What did it mean?

As you look around, you see a large collection of trees, the night pitch with only a bright white moon in the sky being your only light. Since you couldn't see anything but the moon, you started to follow where it lead... hearing only the sounds of crickets and local cicadas flooding your ears. Otherwise, the world seemed completely mute... except for the faint sound of life. After what seemed forever, you find yourself out of the trees. You feel relief, until you look forward and just see a large wall... a gate at the entrance. "Intruder, state your name and reason of being." A man demands, seeming very hasty, as if they have had a problem with intruders as of late. You state your name, and that you don't know where you are. The night is silent again, before the gates open to a large kingdom surrounded by walls.

"Welcome to the Labyrinth." The man repeats, and it hits you... that the girl said the same thing in your 'dream' you had before waking up here. There must be a connection, but what?

You are trapped inside a kingdom, and you are told by the local dwellers of the Kingdom named Rainta, and outside is what they called the 'Claws of Trees'. They ask you constantly how you survived with how there are many creatures - including dragons - but you explain you didn't see a creature in sight the whole time. They called you lucky, and soon word spreads around the kingdom that each night after... people just like you are coming each night.

The kingdom now looks to you all as freaks, wondering how everyone is actually appearing randomly from the forest.

As word spreads, and fear starts to strike Rainta's hearts, the queen states that there must be no other reason, but that the people that appeared was creatures that were trying to overthrow the kingdom... and were under the influence of the 'Claws of the Forest'.

You were soon kicked out of the kingdom with everyone else, trying to find the new person that would come each night. Without knowing what to do, the group of teenagers made their way towards what looked like a cave... finding a deserted nests of eggs. One girl went up to one of the eggs, being strangely drawn to it, and placed her fingers gently on the shell, to which it glowed a faint green. She was chosen by the egg, and sought to protect it after touching it.

It was a dragon, that chose her.

Now, every newcomer who they call Labyrinth dwellers, is chosen by a dragon...

You are now apart of the Labyrinth

This is also known as the dark forest that Rainta fears, and you are feared by Rainta as well... but for some reason you are still drawn to the kingdom after being chosen by your dragon - it's rumored among the group of people that it might actually hold the answer to why you are there.

TYPE OF DRAGONS

Wind

Considered the fastest in the air, and usually have the sharpest claws. Can be any color, though is usually an array of many colors and shapes. Most Wind dragons are slender and have a large wing span that is meet with stamina so they can fly long distances. Most Wind dragons have some types of feathers on them, resembling birds.

Earth

Earth dragons are the fastest on land, and usually can hold healing powers, and can bring about new life to nature around them. They usually aren't skilled at flying... though most actually don't have wings. Usually earthy tones of green or browns... and are usually girth and basic colored. Usually the most kind and simple in personality

Fire

Fire is the most powerful of the dragons, usually having large wings that stretch across to catch the best wind currents. They hold the ability to breathe fire no matter what, and may hold another attribute fire related. Usually darker colors or shades of reds/ambers. They can be any shape and size, and are usually very serious.


Water

Water dragons typically stay under the water. They may have wings... but they tend to only work under the streams. Water dragons are usually shades or blue, purple, greens... cold colors that help them blend into water. They can be tiny and dwell in streams, or large and dwell in the local lake. Water dragons are usually named sea monsters, and are the most cunning of the dragons.

Holds a fear of fire, thunderstorms, and has no ability to swim. Was raised by her mother, Adriana, and has been in the Labyrinth for a straight year. Has a disadvantage of not being able to see well in her left eye.



homeslice / Cecil / Male / Single / 17 / Ensidor - Earth
A brown haired teen with dark hazel eyes, and is adorned with a few freckles. An alert, challenging, and stubborn character. His family consists of two sisters and a brother, who were all raised by a single mother. Holds a fear of being unwanted, and has slight hearing problems in his right ear. Has been in the labyrinth a total of three months.




Olivebranched / Avani / Female / Single / Demisexual / 24 / Silvanus - Earth
A blonde figure whom which her hair reaches her hips with emerald eyes, and has tanned skin as well. A good natured, all around acceptable girl whom can be blunt at times as well as adventurous. Her family consists of her mother Ila(deceased), and father - Vidir (who's whereabouts are unknown.) Has a fear of large crowds, confinement, and heights; however, she also struggles with night terrors. Has been in the labyrinth for three months.




DizzyMaelstrom! / Matai +Mason / Male / Single / Bisexual - Heterosexual / 19 / Hakan - Fire
Black haired twins that look almost completely identical, except that Matai has grey eyes and Mason brown - to almost black - colored eyes. They both are fairly good natured, Mason is the more confident one of the duo, while Matai is a bit of an introvert. Their family consists of their father, Thomas, mother - Leia, and little sisters, Hannah and Clementine. Matai holds more fears than Mason, though they both share the fear of never returning home... and the fact that maybe won't be able to protect and make their family at peace. They've been in the labyrinth 6 months.

Time in the Labyrinth: A year (The third person to enter the labyrinth, and the girl who first obtained a dragon)
Brief Background: Crescent was raised by her mother, Adriana, who was (and still is) a kind soul. She grew up fairly poor, having no money to give out her pocket, so she gave happiness instead. She one day found herself trapped within the 'dream' that brought her to this land on her 17th birthday...
Personality: Friendly - Caring - Loving - Silent - Hardworking - Open-minded - Scatter-brained - Sometimes Childish

Brief Background: Avani’s mother died shortly after she was born, leaving her father to raise her on his own. He was a traveling healer that went from village to village tending to the sick and injured. When Avani turned eight, her father began training her to become a healer as well. She set out on her own after her seventeenth birthday. She hasn’t seen or spoken to her father since. She received the dream that called her to the Labyrinth a few weeks before her twenty fourth birthday.

Brief Background:
The two of them lived with their mother, father, and two little sisters until their mother ended up leaving them. They were often bullied as children, to which they reacted in different ways. As an end result, they are the best of friends and very close. They were finally about to part and move away from the nest to start their own lives when... well, they can't remember. All they know is that they woke up side by side in a whole other world.
Personality:
Matai and Mason are, overall, a very friendly duo who try to stay on others' good sides to avoid conflict. Even so, if they have to face it, they won't shy away. They're both very curious individuals that find enjoyment in learning new things. That being said, Mason is most definitely the more flamboyant and confident one of the two while Matai is a bit more of an introvert with a greater deal of reason. Because of this, Matai is more cautious in nature, which is something Mason lacks quite greatly. They have sort of a "you lead, I'll follow" connection between each other, with Mason steering at the wheel most of the time, however, Matai is in no way submissive and will easily take control if he feels he has reason to. They are both very protective of those they hold dear.

Mason - He becomes impossible to reason with when he's angry, and is pretty quick-tempered if the right buttons are pushed. He can be a bit impatient, and rushes into things, often, before he can think them out.

He views Mason and Matai as a bit inferior and they're trying to work that out. He wants to make it very clear that he's not some pet.

He has amazing endurance, and can create ridiculously massive amounts of fire with one blow.

Brief Background:
Chris and Chad grew up for the longest time trying to mimic one another in successful attempts to confuse and fool their mother, until they grew up that is. Since they've been adults, they have considered doing everything together because they decided that they just mesh so well together. They decided they always wanted to be around for each other.
Personality:
Both- They both tend to be very direct about how they want to go about solving a problem. The only difference would happen to be that Chad has less violent solutions than Chris. They also have a tendency to know what the other is thinking, but often refuse to let others in on the secret. They are outgoing, Chad more so than Chris.
Chris- Chris has more tendency towards violent solutions, but is also aware that violence can't solve everything. She is protective of her brother, trying to keep him from getting hurt. She says she could care less about other people, but she would always help someone, usually as discretely as possible so no one realizes it was her.
Chad- Chad has much more tendency towards violence, though he lacks severity, which Chris makes up for. He likes to joke around that violence solves everything, though he would never actually hurt someone unnecessarily. He is more open about his protective side, but he is a bit less protective than Chris.

Both- Being apart and insects.
Chris- Water.

Talents:
Chris- Can be courageous-- sometimes even if faced with her fears. Athletic-- specifically gymnastics. Tends to be more observant.

Chris- Easily distracted by multiple noises, general short attention span, selective hearing.

Personality: Usually very playful. When she's angry, she acts playful, but is a little more harsh about her "playing". She is also optimistic most of the time. She loves both of her riders very much, but struggles with Chris in the sense that she wants her to overcome her fear of water so they can swim together. She has a personal preference to Chris, and although she says it's because they are both girls, the reality is that she thinks human boys are too chaotic.
Fear(s): Having no water, fire, fire dragons.
Talent(s): Obviously a very agile swimmer, can spray water out of her mouth at a high velocity so as to push back-- or even injure-- another dragon (only uses when truly afraid, or threatened). Able to store fresh, drinkable water for herself or her riders consumption later.
Disadvantage(s): She is clumsy on land, sometimes accidentally pinning one of her riders underneath her foot or arm without realizing it. She also tends to be very pacifist, not acting out unless truly threatened.
Likes: Water, Chris, sweet food, sour food, nature.
Dislikes: Chad's and Chris' violent tendencies, plain or bland food, most fire dragons.
