In the interest check, it was said that applications could be posted, correct? I can delete the CS and add it back at a later time if wanted. Let me know if anything needs to be changed or explained
Spoiler: Character Application: Vahşi
Name: Vahşi, The Dark Wolf, Būrzshakatrog
Gender: Male
Age: He looks about 32, although his age is closer to double that number.
Race/Species: Vahşi is half human and half demon.
Country of Residence: Nobody's going to give you directions to his house, if that's what you're asking for. Vahşi has been to many corners of the world, although he prefers realms where demons or halfbloods have power. He particularly likes the realm of Archaea and its inhabitants. When he has some free time, there's a place in the forests between Archaea and the river leading to the Essen Waters that he tends to go to.
Spoiler: Appearance - Words and Pictures
Vahşi stands about six feet tall, with one eye a greenish-gold color and the other red. Both his ears are pointed like an elf's would be, but they are ridged inside like a canine's. When in full demon form, which he doesn't often use, he appears to be about eight feet tall, with pale skin and red eyes. As a wolf, his fur is a dark brown that almost looks black, and his eyes are golden amber except when his anger turns them red. Regardless of the form he chooses, there are dozens of scars crossing his body, and the top of his left earlobe is missing where it was sliced off with a knife.
All Vahşi's clothes are black or some other dark colour, although he may add a jacket with something a little lighter in tone when he has to mingle with non-demon types. He typically wears a long-sleeved black shirt, black pants in a rugged material, and black boots that are about twelve inches tall. There are several beads hanging on a string woven into his hair, and a metal clasp along the lobe of his right ear. Usually they would be trophies from a war or kill, but he wears them simply because he chooses to (he would never admit that he likes to wear them). If threatened, he could probably use his magic to turn them into a staff and small shield. He did it only once, several years ago, and he doesn't remember doing so.
When he is among his demon brethren, he tends to dress in something a bit more common for a being of his ranking. His suit is typically of a red- or gold-colored expensive material that is embellished with jewels and embroidery. A thigh-length black cloak and black leather boots are also part of his standard outfit. Since he does hold a position of some power, for ceremonies and official work a circlet of black metal, with three long black feathers sweeping back along his hairline, is a required accessory. Among demons, he only appears in public in his demon form himself.
Weapons/Equipment: Vahşi can manipulate nearly any inanimate object into changing into what he likes, but he tends to just keep a few pointy things on his person instead of using magic. His common weapons of choice are his bow and short swords, along with his two throwing knives and his dagger. At his home, he has an entire armory of destruction, complete with arenas and ranges with which to test them, but he doesn't usually carry much unless he's planning to go into battle.
Skills, Strengths, and Abilities: Vahşi has some skill in dark magic, which he plays with now and again. He can also give a being permission to temporarily hold the strength and stamina of a halfbreed demon, although not all beings can handle the power. When he wishes, he can travel in the form of a wolf, but as he is larger than any normal wolf he is usually mistaken for a werewolf or similar creature. There is a wolf pack that will follow his every command while he is in wolf form, but he usually tasks them with guarding his home and belongings if he acknowledges their help outside of the battlefield.
Spoiler: Personality
Vahşi's personality is rather complex. If you break the moral code held by most civilized peoples, he will probably look the other way or perhaps help you. Should you break it when it regards him, i.e. by attempting to steal his belongings, he will take care of you in a very painful manner unless he has a good reason not to. In a fight he will probably be the hurricane tearing a destructive swath through enemy ranks, but under everyday circumstances he is a quiet, well-behaved halfblood.
Despite his commonly bloody tendencies, Vahşi has a few traits that are fairly normal. If he owes someone a debt he will shake the depths of the earth to fulfill it, and not only because he hates being in debt to anyone. He also tends to be deadly loyal to a few select persons, mostly in his father's side of the world. It is rare for him to lie, steal, or cheat, simply because he can get what he wants by legal means that cause much less trouble. Adventure is something he tends to chase after, and when on a quest of some sort he generally acts in a more or less human manner unless provoked.
Although he has some good qualities, Vahşi is definitely not friendly in most cases. Every tavern needs a creepy cloaked figure sitting in the corner with a weapon next to him, and Vahşi fills that role perfectly. Single digits are all that's required to name the number of times he's spoken kindly without an ulterior motive, or the number of times he's willingly entered a social situation. He tends to take sarcasm and jokes seriously, occasionally with serios results. If he decides to dislike someone or something, he tends to destroy them or it.
Spoiler: Bio & Explanation of Psuedonyms
Vahşi was born a number of years ago. The exact time is anyone's guess. Few members of his village are still alive, and none who knew much of anything about Vahşi's family. Even those who did know didn't have much to tell. Nearly six months before his birth, Vahşi's mother came to the village. She refused to say how she had found the place, or what her real name was. Only the village elders were told the outline of her story, but it soon spread across the entire village. However, most of her past was still shrouded - she only said that she had lost her home a year ago and her child's father four months ago. She indicated that she lost her home due to her wedding, but gave no reason for the loss of the child's father.
Vahşi was born several months past the normal gestation period for a human. His mother initially refused help, but the village elders demanded that she have at least one person present at the birth. The two midwives were bribed into keeping silent about what they saw that night. For the first few years of his life, he seemed like a normal child, apart from his right eye. But as he started growing older, the demon half of his nature began to become apparent. Although he never committed any serious crime, he did get into a fair amount of trouble and was remarked by several to have a singularly dark nature for a child.
While Vahşi was still young, slave traders attacked his small village. Most of its inhabitants were killed or captured, and the entire complex was razed after being looted. Those who survived the attack were scattered in the wilderness, where most probably perished. It was at this time that Vahşi was separated from his mother. She died soon after the attack from wounds she suffered during the altercation. It was many years before he learned of her fate.
Vahşi's father didn't know of his existence for some time and was killed nearly twenty years ago. Once he did learn of his son's existence as a strong warrior, he made no little effort to find him. Among the demons, Vahşi's father was quite powerful, holding one of the highest positions available to those without royal blood. Serving the royal house was his primary service, but he also had a hand in nearly everything to happen in the demon empire. Many considered him to be as powerful or more powerful than the heir. If he were to make a an attempt on the throne, his success or failure would have been an even contest, but he was killed in battle before the event could come to pass. Since Vahşi was his only son, he was given everything his father had had. However, due to his half-human heritage, he was exempted from duties concerning the royal house. This did not bother Vahşi at all.
To many humans and humanoids, Vahşi is known as The Dark Wolf. During his younger years, before he had his father's help and protection, he commonly used his wolf form to defend or feed himself. For a brief period he was the alpha of a wolf pack, which still responds to his orders when called upon.
Another of Vahşi's names, Būrzshakatrog, came during his time with the demons. In the language of demons, which it is spoken in, it roughly translates to Black Destroyer. Very few non-demons know the name, and very few demons know its owner personally, but nearly all those with demon blood have heard the stories connected to it.
How did Vahşi get to Ilscaria? The answer is obvious - he was looking for trouble. But even when he didn't find much of interest in that sector, he decided that Ilscaria was a place to stick around in for a while. Had he chosen, he could have entered the city with the pomp neccessitated by his position, but he chose to live in anonymity. Later on he may find it more convenient to have an official capacity, but for the moment he would prefer not to admit his authority.
