Scratch tried to run more, but started to limp. The poison had started to fill his lungs and caused him to throw up. This happened to many other animals in the forest, but as the others animals would pass out. He struggled on, he had to survive and nothing would stop him. "Anyone here..... Help!!"

Flick paused as she realised the cat she had helped was not with her, but then again neither was anyone else. Looking back over her shoulder she darted quickly through the poisonous fog finding the cat a little ways back. Coughing a little she picked him up again by the scruff and ran as fast as her paws would carry her to the edge of the forest and into the surrounding fields.

    "Fiver?! ... Fiver?!"
The fox could barely see in front of him. His paws dragged along the ground as he urged himself onwards. As hard as he tried, the fog was overcoming him. It filled his lungs with a toxic foulness. His ears barely picked up his own name as carried itself across the breeze faintly.

Suddenly there was something in front of him. It was silver. Somehow he'd managed to keep himself free of the poisons. So the rabbit was smart after all. Fiver didn't even hear what he said, he simply trotted along weakly after him, as the rabbit lead the fox out of the Forrest and into the fields. Once the two were clear of the fog, fiver collapsed into the soft grass, panting heavily, his breath raspy and sharp. Silver simply stood up and alert upon his haunches, desperately looking for other signs of life.

Now clear of the forest and, she hoped, the deadly fog Flick put the cat down once again laying down herself panting hard. she kept her ears up though listening for any signs that the others that had been there had made it out.

The fog now consumed the entire forest floor and only the upper parts of the trees were visible. Painful cries and shrieks filled the background in horror as animals in the most fit condition began to collapse in under a few minutes and no clear sign of escape were evident. Suddenly though, the mist started to clear in some areas showing a pseudo-passage way.
