E was wandering around the base. It was the third anniversary of that horrible day. Any minute now a new batch of recruits....the last time recruits had arrived on this day, they were all dead at the end of the day. He had learned not to get attached to his trainees, after all they could never replace.... NO! He couldn't cry, not now. These trainees were going to respect him, he couldn't mess that up now

Jay ran through the halls, skidding to a stop in front of a security door. She took a deep breath, then swiped the key card. It slid open, and she grabbed the suit inside. She hurriedly put it on, and joined the back of the line of new recruits heading onto a shuttle. Everyone on board looked grim. "Squad 6, looks like they want us dead after all." Someone near her spoke. She didnt respond, but couldn't help but wonder what was wrong with this 'Squad 6' she shrugged in her combat suit, waiting for the shuttle to arrive

E walked to the watch tower and saw a troop shuttle in the distance
"Great" E said to himself "Shuttle 13. They'll be dead by the end of the week"
The shuttle landed in the field nearby

The shuttle landed, and the troops filed outwards. Jay looked at the others, then stood, and followed. She stood at the end of the line of the suited up individuals, which there were surprisingly few of, and followed them towards a base nearby. She frowned, an action hidden by her helmet. She carefully took in her surroundings, noting which places she could use in the future. With her luck, she'd be found out and shipped back within a few weeks, but she figured it would be good to at least know her surroundings for the time being

The Pilot looked out at the assembled trainees, saluted them, and took off

E stood in front of the trainees
"Alright soldiers I know that you have all heard about the Squad 6 curse" E said "And I am here to tell you that it is only a myth. We are merely having a string of unlucky events. But I believe that you can break this string of events. Who's willing to try?"

May shrugged, and nodded. She would raise her hand, but wasn't quite sure if she should. Whats he talking about a curse for? What's wrong with Squad 6? she wondered silently

"You should all take an example from your friend here" E said, walking over to Jay "What's your name rookie?"

She bit her lip. It was extremely rare that a female soldier was issued a combat suit, and here she stood in an experimental model. And with her record, well, if she were caught, she'd pretty much be screwed. She thought for a second, then smiled. Three letters appeared on the vision screen. JAY it read. She hoped he'd understand, and not ask her to speak or anything similar

"Why are you using your projector rookie?" E asked, his temper rising a small bit "When a commanding officer speaks to you, you are excepted to respond!"
