Sophie, Axel & Axen Solace
Covered in the upheaved remains of her son, Sophie held onto him tightly. Pride and pain clashes between her children, staring at her Dwight for only a moment before she hastily sequestered her son from the fight.
Slumping heavily at her, Axel let out tiny coughs as his vision grew fuzzy. Faintly, the sounds of battle left his ears, drowned by the demeaning hum of silence. He could feel himself getting dragged off deeper into sleep.
Axen was having a hard time defending. Streetfights were common back at home, but the young halfling was exhausted, as if she had been running since midnight. A snarl on her lips, Axel ducked downward and took a deep breath letting out a loud roar that created a wall between them. Her chest heaved with exhaustion and she grimaced, glancing at Uriah to see if he was still with her before running off to where her mother and her brother were. Sophie made her presence known by calling out her name when she navigate the hallways. Axen's mom had a unique flowery scent among all the blood she followed to them. She looked to be having a hard time dragging her brother's unconscious body.
Sophie had to ask just exactly where she was going. At this point she wasn't sure. The only thing she knew was that she had to take her and her son away.
Not bothering to see whether or not the wisp was following them, the female halfling followed her mother's scent, gagging at the scent of decayed flesh that permeated the very air. A few quick turns later, she managed to catch up. Her sharp sense of hearing told her where it was safe, where the faint slithering sounds were weakest and she led them in that direction. "Faculty. You should stay there, I'll go fetch Lisa." The silverette said, amethyst eyes glancing apprehensively at her twin. Sophie followed her eye to Axel and smiled weakly, turning back to Axen.
"Your father would be proud of you"
At the words, the silverette stiffened, back to her mother. She was quiet for a few seconds before the girl let out a huff of cold breath. "He damn better be. The three of us are surviving sone crazy shit without his protection. Ha! I'm no hatching!" The smile on her face wasn't hidden, as well as the happy blush on her cheeks. Despite the situation, Axen seems to be happy with the complement. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, the dragonling looked around for the wisp, wondering if she left him behind or he was floating somewhere out of her sight.
"Now where did that ball of gas run off to?" She grumbled out loud. "Oi wisp, we still need to fetch Blondie from wherever she ran off to."
