I apologise for the amount of chaff you'll have to sift through in the West Hills OOC!

Just me and Cockatiel going back and forth till it reconnects with you two. If anything was awry, you'd be the first to know.
Alrighty. In-universe, does it look like Vahsi and Panos are going to be gone long enough for the girls to get fidgety, or would they be back reasonably quickly?

Ah, good; Vahsi tracked him down relatively close by then. Phew!
Ten minutes would be the point where I'd start thinking "okay, maybe Vahsi's still talking him down" and twenty / thirty where I'd think "are they alright?". Maybe less if their Traveller Sense just kept getting further and further away.

"Are they all right" or "did Panos get murdered by the lupian"?
The Cokatiel has informed me she lives on the east coast and as it is obviously known, puts her in danger of the hurricane. Where she lives is directly in Matthew's path. Her ability to reply is heavily uncertain. For a moment of levity I will say that there are truly no excuses to not be able to inform your GM of delay. She's bound for natural disaster and yet still gets it to me.
Please send your prayers and/or healing intentions to her.
Until I deem so, in respect for her and her informing me, the RP will be on hiatus.
Good luck, miss Cockatiel!

I have to say, I love to hate Vahsi. Whether he's being hilarious ("Do you, uh, need a thing?") or pointlessly stubborn ("I'm supposed to tell you that everything's okay and it'll turn out fine." - no that's not what the girls told him to say at all!) or giving dangerously bad advice ("If you think I'm going to babble with you about what we've been through, you're mistaken. There's no use doing it.") He's a great character.
And speaking of great characterisation, I'm finding Panos (boy, is he fucked in the head) physically painful to read, because I feel guilty for how much he's pissing me off. Not because of his innate snobbish streak, but because this is almost exactly like when I'm having to deal with a real-life friend whose depression occasionally makes her act like a total bitch, and no matter how calm and patient you are it doesn't achieve anything until she "clicks" and is willing to listen again (at which point she usually feels terrible). But of course, actually responding to their anger with your own anger only reinforces the "I deserve to be hated" emotion they're currently feeling...it's a terrible, terrible catch 22.
On an unrelated note, I'm very wary of Panos' line "Can't you feel it? How within our chests there's vacancy and yearning: what we had is gone". Panos may be a pessimist, but I also know by now that Miss Minkasha is enamoured of encoding bleak, no-win scenarios into the very premises of her writing...
