Assa was already ready, having changed and gathered her things earlier, so she sat in one of the empty seats and waited for the rest to be ready. While she waited, she couldn't help but stare at Olander in his form of Master Emilian. It just brought back all that had happened over the last few days. Was Master Emilian even still alive? She didn't think so, but could there have even had a slim chance? Master Emilian hadn't been at the Sanctum when everything had happened, but instead at the coronation representing the healers of the Sanctum and Imea. She was so distracted by her thoughts about her former Master, that she barely noticed Asher's undressing or Mercy's departure to get ready.

Now, from years of fighting and brawling and the odd duel here and there, Asher had made quite the body for himself. And being the vain thing that he was, the man could never resist and opportunity to essentially, show himself off. He hesitated for far too long a time before finally putting the blasted shirt on. With that done he looked rather out out that no one had complimented him really. Poor thing.

Olander confident enough he'd gotten his impression perfectly right, picked up the cloak he wear earlier and pulled it over his shoulders before pulling the hood up again. It was best he wasn't seen exiting, consider Emilian was never seen entering.

Once everyone was ready they set off. It was important they continued to keep their heads down until they arrived at the sanctum.

The maid had just finished fixing her uniform when she exited the room, although she was apologizing profusely that it was not her normal level of needlework. Mercy thought it looked fine-- in fact, she was impressed with the work done on it in so short a time. She took it as a good omen for the coming mission. They would, after all, need all the luck they could get.

This little mission was bound to fail. The question was, could they get some worthwhile information before everything blew up in their faces.

Moments after putting on her uniform, they were ready to leave. Mercy also donned a cloak again, but a different one from the one before which was shoved into her arms by a tearful Mel. It was still rather nondescript, but featured several cleverly engineered pockets on the inside. Pockets that already had things in them, but she hadn't had a chance to look through the contents. The group was also given a good sized traveling bag, filled with she could only assume to be a good few days of food rations as well as other useful traveling supplies. Mel was very kind, to make sure they were so well prepared.

After a few soft spoken thank yous (on her part) and more tears (on Mel's), they were gone from the place, exiting through the kitchen not a moment too soon, the door slamming behind them just as the local constable was knocking at the front. Mercy recalled taking this path many times before, on the days were she didn't want to be bothered and escape to prowl the streets for a day. She doubted much of it had changed over the years, as it was primarily used by the servants and if there was one place that could rival the Sanctum in adherence to tradition and the old ways, it was those who worked in service.

Even though they took mostly the back ways in, Mercy could tell the atmosphere of the town was different from before, or perhaps it only seemed that was as the people were no longer focused in on them with their worried muttering. More rumors seemed to be flying of the disaster and tragedy at the capitol, with several of the more fanatical ones already draping their selves in black and wailing fatalistically that this was the end of all days. Mercy's gaze lingered on them for a moment beneath the hood of her cloak. What would they say if they knew the truth? What would they do knowing the catalyst to it stood in front of them now?

As they got closer to the Research Institute, the crowd began to thin significantly. Most of the those looking for the Sanctum's guidance would be going into the Church entrance, leaving the brickwork plaza in front of the place with only the usual crowd. It was a nice area, almost like a park with a fountain in the center depicting a famous Mother known for lobbing off the head of a rather treacherous runecaster one-handed with a broadsword, after her other arm has been burned off in the fight. Water spewed from the point of her sword, creating something of a veil around her; a shroud of vanity for the scarred woman.

Before they reached the gates, Mercy stopped, walking toward the fountain, gesturing for the group to follow. It was best to make sure they were all prepared before charging into things. Patience always paid off in a hunt. She looked over to the wildlander, fighting another spasm of distaste as she looked at the stolen form. She cleared her throat, before speaking. "Master Emilian. I am glad you received my summons. It is rather fortunate for us both, if these rumors of what has happened at the capitol are true. All the more reason to hurry to ResIn with your assistants. You don't have anything more you want to discuss before we meet with my associates?"

Her voice sounded forced, even to her. But then, like any good Enforcer there was always some trepidation between Healer and warrior.

Clearly this enforcer was thicker than he thought. He'd already mention it was stupid to even mention the capitol unless mentioned first by someone else and yet it was the first thing she did. "Well it's best to let our betters deal with THAT issue." Olander spoke with a bit of edge, hoping she got the hint that it should not be mentioned again, even in speaking privately and out of context, there could still be ears listening.
"As for my work with my apprentices we'll require complete concentration without any. . 'Distractions'. Surely you can deal with that matter enforcer." Olander's plan, if he could get the enforcer to understand and then agree was to have the enforcer clear the area so they could work. Olander would remain with Assa and Asher. Assa could help him, Asher would be good look out and if needed a body guard. He wasn't sure though that the enforcer would agree to leaving the three alone. He doubted she trusted them fully yet.

Assa waited quietly. In a place like the Institute and in the presence of the Enforcer and the Master Emilian look alike, Assa was just a low healer. One meant to look, listen, and follow order, not to talk unless asked a direct question. She was the student and Master Emilian her teacher. She listened to the Enforcer and...Master Emilian discuss their plan in attempted code. Hadn't they gotten this all planned out at Mercy's family home? Assa kept her hood up so that it hid her searching eyes as she watched everyone who came in. She didn't know what she was looking for, but she was nervous evening being this close to a Sanctum church after all that had happened.

Though she was not by any means good at acting a lie, she still knew enough of when and how one had to be made. This entire doomed to fail escapade had so many things that could cause it to break at any moment, so much that if it were a man made structure a feather could send it into collapse. She saw the alarm on the not-Emilian's face, something that was not often seen in the public eye. Emilian was a vain man, when it came to such petty emotions.

She mentioned the capital because that was everyone would except the head healer to be, with the coronation taking place. It was where she was meant to be as well, although her exact date of return was by all means flexible. By saying what she did, she was giving both of them reason to be here. There was a chance that their conversation would not even be overheard, but if things were to even have a chance to begin...

Mercy stared intently at the wildlander as he spoke, locking eyes with him. He explained his part of the plan, the other two remaining silent, which was expected out of the healer and convenient by the exile. What the wildlander suggested was more or less aligned with what she knew that needed to happen. To leave the three alone was not ideal, but there was not much of a choice. She nodded reluctantly.

"Let us not idle any longer," The Enforcer continued stiffly, before turning sharply away from them all. On the other side of the courtyard were the gates of the Research Institute. Within that were many answers to be found. She continued toward the gate, spotting the guards as they came into view.

There were two: one Enforcer Cadet and one of the Sanctum Guardsmen-- the typical deployment at this gate. They were there mostly just there to maintain appearances and prevent anyone from accidentally wandering into the grounds. If there was an actual attempt for a forced entry, there was a nearby guardhouse inside filled with a full deployment of soldiers ready to defend the place within a moments notice.

Mercy raised one hand as they got closer, doing an odd two fingered salute that the Enforcer Cadet recognized immediately, followed more slowly by the Guardsmen. It was one of the few hand signals that the Enforcers used on joint missions, and the most basic that simply identified her as another one of them.

"Enforcer Revan with Master Healer Emilian and two apprentices." Mercy said shortly as soon as she was in close enough earshot. The Cadet, a shorter young man with closely shaved red hair, had half opened his mouth to speak greetings, before she had cut over him.

"Send word to Researcher Revan and Revan that I am here for clearance," she continued, her tone giving little room for informality. The Cadet, falling into routine, nodded and barked out a quick 'Yes sir!' before darting away to grab a messenger.

The remaining Guardsmen shook his head, helm and armor rattling. "Yougins these days..." he muttered.

Mercy found herself agree with his sentiments.

Olander tried to remain calm and as in character as possible but as they got closer to the entrance it became much harder. Each step was one step closer than he'd ever been to institute and his first time willingly entering a building controlled by the sanctum. Last time he had been dragged in by the dead of night in chains. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little bit frightened. The building certainly was intimidating, and not just because Olander knew what the sanctum was capable of. The walls were tall and towered over the courtyards around it. The building looked endless and inside must have been a maze.

Olander let the enforcer take charge as they reached the guards outside. He couldn't let go of the feeling that she might announce this was all a ruse. He thought it best to say as little as possible even though it was rare Emilian was ever quiet. He didn't want to over play the character. Conversation lead the possibility of slipping up. Saying something out of character. Instead Olander stuck with simply looking uninterested by what was going on, as if being here was a nuisance to him.

For Assa, her role was easy enough. It was one she was used to. She listened to the Enforcer and her conversation with the guards men. Enforcer Revan and Researchers Revan. So her parents did work here. That would explain the connections Mercy had here and Assa's hunches about the Enforcer. The Rune Caster was being particularly quiet. Emilian was normally one to voice his displeasure at being made to wait. And then the Exile was also being abnormally quiet as well. If this kept up they all would just look like they actually were. A bunch of traitors, infiltrating the Sanctum.

How the bloody hell had someone not guessed their plan already?! In Asher's eyes, there whole disguise was ready to crumble and fall in an instants notice. Of course he'd be more than ready for the chaos that followed, but even he had his limits at times. The whole thing sat uneasily with him, and to his discontent, he couldn't shake the feeling. It rather annoyed him, that and the darned robe itched.

Scratching at his shoulder uncomfortably he frowned. The man looked around for a moment before nudging Assa lightly
"Bet they've never seen a Healer as good looking as this before"
The statement was whispered but it was still rather immature. But that was Asher. Faced with complete and utter destruction, yet still happy to make childish remarks.
