Earth, fire, air, and water. These four elements make up our world and everything in it. These elements are also gifts, given by the gods, to certain people. These people are expected to use these gifts for the betterment of society. However, not all do. Each person has control over one element, and one element only. To learn control over their powers, children are sent to Mountain Oak Academy where they work together to develop new uses for their powers.

RULES:
1: No violence
2: Minimal cursing

Name: Emily Carter

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Element: Fire

Physical description: Emily is tall and lanky, 5'8" and 100 lbs. She is long limbed but not disproportionately. Her red hair and green eyes stand out perfectly. She loves leaving her hair naturally wavy much like her style. Loose and comfortable.

Personality: Sarcastic but friendly, sometimes her sarcasm can be off putting, and make people not like her. She tries to not care, but will back off if she notices you getting uncomfortable. She is independent and strong willed. She will argue often, even after she realizes she's wrong. She is not one to concede. She likes to read the people around her, often being referred to as manipulative. She is not afraid to go after and get what she wants, and will jump into action with little to no hesitation.

Back story: She was raised in an average working class family, until one day she set her bed on fire. That's when her parents decided they needed help. They have been sending her to Mountain oak since she was 10 years old. She is ready to be done with the academy and to move on with her life. This, she hopes, will be her last year at this school.

Name: Samuel Jacobs

Physical description:
Samuel has skin as pale as paper and eyes as blue as crystal. His hair falls over his forehead in a soft fringe, and tousles up at the back into a styled mess. Slim figure, he stands at 5'8. A tattoo of an Ankh on his ankle and a pair of labret piercings on either side of his lower lip.

Personality: Shy. Samuel has always been shy. His humor is darker than his innocent exterior may suggest. A tendency to back down in an argument, but let's anger build up within him over time. It has been known to explode out in fits of rage. Suffering from Major Depressive Disorder or MDD, He often finds himself becoming a pessimist and withdrawing from his friends.

Back story: Loving and caring parents. They raised him with what he needed, but not always what he wanted. he was taught the value of money as he grew up and is now responsible. After discovering he had a gift, his only thoughts were "why me?" and "This is too much." He did think, however, that this explained why he drankcopious amounts of water every day, enjoyed swimming and almost always took himself for walks out in the rain.

He is a tall and agile person. He has dark black hair and eyes that a a bright green. He tends to wear dark clothing and prefers to walk hunched, as if the world is pressing down on him. He tries to stay fit and healthy but that usually fails since he can skip all his classes and sleep in for hours. He stands at 6'1.

Personality:
Emerson tends to be aggressive, but he tries to keep it in. He can be hot headed and his temper can get the best of him sometimes. He doesn't tend to make friends easily and can act as if he doesn't care, when he does. Trust doesn't come easily for him and he gets suspicious of everyone. One thing though, if you break through his walls you will get his loyalty and trust.

Back story:
Emerson was raised in a poor but sweet family. They payed little attention to him but loved him. At the age of nine he got 'discovered' and was sent to the academy to be trained. He hopes he never haves to leave the academy since he had gotten quite fond of it.

She stands at 5' 2", short, but she has a lither figure and is slightly muscular. She relies more on speed and agility, able to bend and stretch like nobody's business. Her hair is a raven black, here eyes a cat's eyes green. Her skin is pale.

Pia is a mystery. She is not like her element, steady and rotund, but wild and free. She does what she wants and lives to have fun. She is all over the place, running wild and laughing. She will approach anyone and anything, and does not care what others think. She is also ambitious, and a trouble-maker.

Back story:
She was born into an abusive family, and was sent to the orphanage at the age of 2. She grew up there for 2 more years, before she started making small earthquakes with her out-of-control powers. She was sent to the academy at age 5, and has lived there since. She has never been able to control her powers, them reacting to her anger or emotion which is a lot. Therefore, she has had to do a lot of damage control.
