(M)(Re) Hoist the Sails to a New Beginning (OOC)

Yarh! And welcome... This be a Pirate Roleplay! But there's Sci-Fi and Adult Themes as Well So be warned matey! *Rated M for Mature for blood, coarse language and mature themes.* (This may or may not be a reboot or the pirate roleplay I made before.

-A Little Bit of History:
In 4021 everyone was living peacefully. Technology had advanced and so had the world. Out of the blue radioactive water flooded over the world. Everyone was in shock, no one could tell where the waste was coming from and it made them panic. Some people died, some people committed suicide and others mutated from the water. The people gained qualities to help them survive the waste water. But it wasn't just people who were affected, animals and the land were destroyed in ways as well. Most, if not all of the people who survived had flocked to the sea and skies. Once the radioactive waste cleared up mostly, people came back to the land. The land it's self was still pretty damaged.

Not everyone wanted to be a law abiding, earth rejuvenating citizen. Now that most people were more familiar with the sea's and sky's some of them became Pirates. Three types of pirates were noticed and confirmed, Sea Pirates, Sky Pirates and finally Space Pirates. It was easy to become a pirate. After the radiation flood, treasure was laying around in places, and their wasn't really anyone that could stand up and fight them. Except Bounty Hunters and maybe police officers.

Then in 4076 something else horrible happened, a war. Though it was mostly between Space Pirates, Sky Pirates and Sea Pirates, Bounty Hunters also started attacking the pirates. This war started when the Sky Pirates thought they could kill all the Sea Pirates. The Sea Pirates fought back, formed somewhat of an alliance with the Sky Pirates and Space Pirates and life went on. The war was bitter and lasted eleven years.

After the war things kind of went back to normal, even though now radioactive waste is in the waters, some people have mutations and there are Pirates and Bounty Hunters. Pirates are still a profession that people consider as a general option. Even people who don't seem like they are cut out to be Pirates, just because you,end up making so much money.

Their are also some people who believe that the radioactive waste wasn't just some accidental spill from a factory, Some believe that the radioactive waste was the work of a deep and dark Organization plotting against the world.


-Plot:
So now now it's the year 4087 and more and more people are becoming Pirates. You can play as a Pirate, or a bounty hunter. Their are regular Pirates who sail around the sea's careful not to fall into the remaining radioactive waste. They steal from the people on land. Their are also sky pirates who sail around in the higher skies and sometimes even space. Space Pirate ships are designed to only fly in space, but they can be modified for lower altitudes. You can also play as a bounty hunter and catch Pirates instead of playing as one. Search for treasure and power, and try to survive. Maybe if your lucky you might even find out why the world was plagued with radioactive waste water.

-Sea Ships-

Sea ships are always made of some kind of metal because of the radioactive waste in the water. The stronger the metal the more costly the ship. Cheaper sea ships are made out of wood but they have to be repaired... allot. Sea ships cannot go into space normally. Some inventors try to attach steel wings to them so they can fly and sail but it's risky and almost never happens. A few submarines have been seen.

Sky/Space Ships vary in shape and style. But more expensive ones can take more hits. They also have stronger weaponry systems. Sky ships usually have a more 'light' feel to them. More sky ship oriented have an easer time going down the land then more space oriented ships. Most space ships can't go down to land very well at all. Space Pirate ships do tend to have more weapons on them, because Space Pirates tend to be more violent. Sky Pirates are usually the nicest of all Pirates, though they do seem to hate Sea Pirates.

If your Pirate or Bounty Hunter somehow drank some radioactive water that wasn't treated. Or maybe your char didn't get on a boat or ship fast enough. Well then they might have a mutation. It could be something practical like a third eye... Or something not so practical like cat ears. Just don't make it over powered.

Treasure chests are scattered around the world and sky. They are filled with different value things. After the flood allot of people lost things. So pirates take it upon themselves to take that treasure and fight over it. Sometimes, for very high level treasure, maps are made for the treasure and it is collected later.

Some town's are more hostel then others. But a normal town is filled with nice people. Some of those people are usually scared of Pirates. There will be bars, restaurants, shops, weaponry shops and other shops varying on the location that you are in. Allot of the earth has been turned into islands and there are allot less animals as there used to be but they are starting to repopulate.
Sky Docks are large docks in the sky or space that you can connect your ship to. Space Pirates can also dock their ships to planets in an emergency. They are solar powered and built to look just like a regular city.
Money is just normal money but is called coins. There are bronzes coins, silver and gold. It takes more bronzes coins to pay for something then it would take to pay for something with gold. For instant It might take two 20 bronze coins to buy a blanket but only 5 gold coins to buy the same one.

A lot of islands formed after the flood. Allot of them haven't been mapped out yet but the ones that have are quite popular. The ones that are mapped out and are not popular are dangerous.

The people and animals who live there have to stay ahead of the cold to stay alive lighting fire's daily. There is a huge lake with fish in the middle of the island.

Pine Island: https://www.dhbailey.com/photos/IMG_0466.JPG A island full of lush beautiful tree's, birds, game and fish. Everyone that lives there eats will one way or another. The island is prone to rockslides.

Volcano Bay: https://wallpoper.com/images/00/29/76...l_00297687.jpg Soot almost always flies in the air as two large volcanos seem like they are about to erupt. The people aren't afraid and give the volcano offerings to keep it quiet. The town supposedly has mines filled with gold and other gems under the volcano but the towns people won't let anyone but them get to it. There are lots of elk, wolves and birds on the island.

The Ruins: https://indul.ccio.co/c5/u2/A9/HavvAd...hitecture6.jpg A weird island that is protected by whirlpools. An old civilization lived there. Now they are all gone and all that's left is there buildings. Deep in the ruins is supposed to be an awesome treasure... or an awesome curse...

Trade Co Island: A huge island with lots of docks. The island is filled with buildings, hotels, places to trade, restaurants, bars and other fun things. People love this island and it's very peaceful.

Ranging from small to large and in color and even shape. Some planets changed with the radioactive acid. A lot of people dock on the earth's moon which now has an oxygen machine piping air though the planet. The moon is pretty bustling now actually. Then there's allot of people who dock on Venus. It tuned purple... and is now completely cool. Another common planet is Jalioz (Gal-lie-oz). It's green and allot like earth. Expect there is no water just weird green ooze. Odd animal like aliens inhabit the planet. Some planets are full of aliens but most of them are non threatening.... most...

Imagine a huge, flying dock where you can park our ship. Some docks are made of metal and some are made of wood. But they all fly using large solar and wind powered motors. To protect themselves they are equipped with phases. Now a Sky Dock is not just a dock. They are a dock that flows into a town or a city maybe even a empire. Usually the bigger the Sky Dock the bigger the city. Depending in which one you are you may have to pay for docking your ship. Some sky docks are so small that they only allow you to dock your ship.

Sea Monsters lurk in the oceans waiting to attack Pirates and anyone else the can find in the sea. They are huge and wild looking. It looks as if the radioactive waste has effected them. Though they range in size, shape and power they are all violent and will attack at some point.

Sky monsters are mostly winged creatures. Not all Sky monsters fly, some levitate. Sometimes they have large horns and fangs. They attack but sometimes they usually just want to protect themselves. More aggressive things like dragons live in the sky as well.

If you can kill any monster it can feed your whole crew for days. Weeks even.

Name: Samantha (Sam) Ichigo (Sometimes referred to as Sam the Snake, Snake, or Sammy... Much to her dismay.

Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Personality: Sam is a ruthless, sarcastic and rather cold hearted pirate. But even so she does have nice qualities and qualities that aren't supposedly negative. She's smart and strong though she wants to get stronger. Sam likes talking to people and traveling, she doesn't like to stay in one place for to long. Unless that place has treasure. Samantha loves treasure, she's sort of greedy but she likes to think that pirates need gold to survive. She loves eating meat but she's a horrible cook and an even more horrible navigator. She can get kind of violent and really competitive, but usually she just fights for sport. Though Sam has been known to enjoy hurting people. She doesn't like to kill women, children, or old people. Sam does enjoy killing the weak. She vindictive and she can also be quite hot headed at times. Sam is good at lying and flirting her way out of most situations, she takes pride in that. Sam really cares about her crew even though sometimes she acts like she doesn't. She hates guns, really anything futuristic, rules, Sky Pirates, Bounty hunters and the weak and stupid. She is always trying to make herself better and do the best she can.

She wears a faded red bandana, a white dress shirt, blue jeans, and black leather boots. Sometimes she wears a leather jacket but she rarely wears it. She also wears a black leather belt where her weapons, flask, and money pouch are sheathed. Sam is half Japanese and stands at about 5'6.

Reputation: Sam's father was a pirate and a pretty good one at that. Sam is also a good Pirate.

History: Samantha or Sam as she likes to be called was born in a not to peaceful time. But she doesn't really remember that. Her annoying little brother always called her Sammy, which she hated. Her father was a pirate named Samuel, so she was sort of named after him. She isn't.... entirely sure who her mother is. Which actually kind of troubles her. The first thing she really does remember is being aboard Glacier as a child. Then she remembers her father teaching her how to fight. Sam also remembers being robbed by Sky Pirates even though they have an alliance. That always pissed her off. Her father also used to tell her a bunch of conspiracy theory's about the government. She also heard him talking about the war. She never quite knew what he was talking about. Even though Sam was born on a pirate ship and some people might consider that to be horrible she always loved it.
Sam didn't just automatically become a pirate though, it took her years to do that. After her father died Sam was set to travel around the world. She loved her father and finding out her was dead was pretty sad. Especially because she was just happy to sail with him. But then she found out that she had inherited Glacier from her father. Samantha was glad to hear that. After thinking about it for a while she decided to become a pirate. She figured she basically was one anyway and that's what her father would have wanted. Though Sam has no idea what happened to her brother. She's kind of worried about him.

Weapons and Items: -Two katana's with oak handles and jewels (Sam has named them collectively KasuKaze.) -She also carries a bag a poisonous darts (she makes the darts herself.) -She carries a short sword in her boot. -Sam also knows some judo. -She a carries a flask and rope some rope. She also carries another pouch with her coins, some really old matches and some cigarets.
Other: Sometimes Sam writes poetry and sings songs in secret. She knows how to speak Japanese. She's also very frightened of bugs, but mostly cockroaches.

Personality: Reece is a nice, caring person who loves technology. She really likes her boat. She cleans it and talks to it. Reece doesn't like to kill people but she hates pirates and feels the need to inflect pain on them. Reece is smart but she tends to act kind of childish sometimes. She doesn't get angry easily. She does get stressed out easily though. Reece tries to keep a positive
state of mind, even when things are going horribly wrong. She wishes she could be with other people more but most bounty hunters work alone. She loves animals, cute things and books.

Any Mutations?: Pyrokinetics. -Reece can control very small amounts of fire (like the size that a match can create). She is also hot to the touch. Reece's eyes turn red when she's using her powers but are normally green. Her mutation has also given her a red cat tail. She doesn't have any cat ears though.

Boat: (If Applies) The Storm https://unknownworlds.com/subnautica/...lRender01b.jpg Storm is Reece's pride and joy. Fitted with two laser cannons and room for five people... The Storm also used to be a cargo ship. So she was pretty cheap and she still feels pretty cheap. But Reece loves her.
Reputation: Her father and Grandfather, and grandmother were all bounty hunters. So by default Reece is a recognized bounty hunter.
History: Reece was born into a family of wealthy bounty hunters and businessmen. So she never really needed anything as a child. She lived in a mansion and really got to to do what eve she wanted. Her family was highly religious nit that she really minded. She wanted to spend her time doing other things, in the outside world. She only ever got to roam around her mansion. Everything was nice though. She really liked her grandparents, not that Reece didn't like her parents. It was just that her grandparents were the nicest to her. Everyone (mostly her father) wanted her to be a bounty hunter and carry on the tradition. Reece didn't want to at first but she did hate pirates so she decided to do it. With no help from her family. Because if she had help from her family it would seem like she couldn't do anything by herself. Reece set of on her own. She got a job, bought her own ship and her own weapons and set out. Even though some people do still know who she is.
Weapons and Items: One pistol holstered to her side, a hunting knife, pepper spray, and a phaser. She also carries two pairs of hand cuffs, basic medical supplies and her coins and an old note book.

Personality:He is either always drink or buzzed. Has a friendly personality, makes jokes, and is open to pretty much anything. Always up for a good time even in the middle of a battle. Is very talkative and enjoys other peoples company. Even though he drinks, he is very smart and doesn't speak like your normal pirate, but get him "crap faced" and he will talk piratey. Never brings up his past and if it is, he diverts it in some strange or fantastic way. His excessive drinking is due to his past and his personality while drunk is the complete opposite of who he use to be. If at anytime he is unable to become drunk, he is a cold, harsh individual with dead eyes that is easy to anger.

Appearance: Link-----> What he looks like....and rum!! And yes, as the pic shows, Al is always seen with alcohol of some kind. Though he does drink allot, strangely he doesn't smell bad or musty as a alcoholic should, and he does bathe as often as he can.

Reputation: By those that know him, he is seen as a fun, strangely wise, quick witted, trustworthy man, who is good with his weapons, fast on his feet, sharper with his mouth, and knows his drink. By those that just know about him, he is viewed as a low life drunk that isn't worth the salt in his veins.

History: Watching his family being butchered, tortured, and various other acts by villainous people, left a sour taste in his mouth that he has been trying to get rid of since. A drifter of sorts when it comes to pirates, he doesn't have any true place to call home. Due to how he acts, the basic hands on a ship like Al and what he brings, but if the ship is never threatened or never goes into action, he isn't able to prove what he can do to the ones that run the ship. His weapons he acquired when he was found in the captain's cabin passed out with several empty rum bottles scattered about the room. The Captain, called in his First-Mate, both of which grabbed Al. When Al awoke, he found the crew standing over him, the captain and the first-mate dead, and the captains weapons, in Al's hands, the only thing he could say was, and with a smile "They shouldn't have tried to wake me up."

Always looked down on, which he prefers due to the ability that it makes what he can do unexpected, he enjoys being the fool. Wondering from ship to ship, port to port, woman's bed to woman's bed, without any true care in the world, is only goal in life is to savor the best tasting alcohol that the world can offer, after that, he can die a happy man.....after he tastes it again for about a year or two.

Pirates are flippin' awesome~ My personal favorite historical pirate is Ching Shih - brutal woman, totally worth reading up on and drawing inspiration from for characters if anyone who wants to join is drawing any blanks~ Best of luck with your RP - it's a shipshape idea! Yarrg!

Personality: Rafe is generally aloof and relaxed. laughing hardships off since, so long as he wasn't harmed, he was sure he could work something out. A sharp tongue gets him into as much trouble as it gets him out of but he's never been one to roll over for pirate or government official.

What Pirate Crew they want to Join and what Position?: see's himself as his own crew, though not opposed to making allies among other crews.
Boat:
Reputation: Known for bending the "rules" and twisting words. Rafe's results are hard to argue with, but many find themselves very wary of makeing a deal with him since in the end they may not get what they bargained for.
History: Rafe was actually born on Venus after his family fled the toxic earth. There he recieved a minor education due to the high inflow of refugees and disidents from the venutian government. Still he grew up strong learning to fend for himself and gaining a streetwise mentality that compensated for his poor schooling.
One of his turning points was when he was trained by a local pirate to fight using a laser sword. The weapon was a relic of old technology from before the flood and many found them difficult to use. However it seemed Rafe took to the strange weapon easily. After a few years the ageing mentor bequeathed him with his old ship, Rather small for most vessels but capable of atmospheric entry and escape under its own power. Rafe was curious as to what exactly happened and jumps at the chance to raid old archives anywhere he can find them. Under this pretense he petitioned the venutian navy to allow him to hunt down this information. While they begrugingly accepted that he was not directly under their employ, Rafe had to share with them anything he learned in order to recieve their support.

@IejirKothar, I know I'm not the GM but could you explain what the "Sixth Sense" is? Does he see ghost, is it like Spider-Man's "Spidey-sense", is it mental intuition? What? Also, I think mutations are limited to actual physical attributes, like a extra arm or something...nothing to do with ones ability to be "psychic". Not to mention, you may want to use spell check on your post since there were a lot of missing, misspelled, and parts I couldn't understand.

Well, I would say to you that its either your own reading or something else as far as "spelling" because my browsers checking program doesn't detect anyting.
secondly its a hightened awareness like the "spideysense" as for whether or not its allowed I think should be left up to Okami or an actualy apointed Mod. I don't mind the critique or anything and I myself have been known to give advice or insight on a particular subject.

I'm not trying to be rude, but this was just by reading over your character. Don't rely on "spell checking", proof read for yourself and make sure it makes sense and words aren't missing.
