[M] In The Shadows of a The Black city (OOC) (Yuri)

Velein, a planet mostly covered in water with only has three continents, in total covering about 35% of the planet's surface area. Unlike Earth, where only one species has evolved to the point of domination, Velein has three. Due to it's positioning with other planets, Velein has only three hours of the day that have sunlight. Throughout the civilizations on the planet, there were rumors of a city along the coast of Arialis, the largest continent. This city was said to hold the worst criminals, the strongest police force on the continent, constant illegal black market transactions, mass murder, gangs, and corporations that hold a military prescence. Every dark rumor about the city is completely and utterly factual. Some people say that this city is like a prison for those who have sinned in their past lives, and very few refute it's existence. The city is 3,518 square kilometers in size, nearly three times the size of New York. Whether you are a Gang Warfare Strategist, Special Operations Police Officer, Corporation Soldier, or just a lonely soul sitting alone in your apartment trying to stay alive, you are stuck in this city, for better or worse.
Spoiler: HistoryVelein is approximately half the age of Earth, but the evolved species having been their the majority of the time. All the species come from a common ancestor, called the Proteans(Proe-tee-ins). The proteans are usually worshipped as past gods, despite their race being around the same level as humanity in the 1800's, sharing many traits with them. At this time Arialis was the only discovered continent, the other two being found around the same time after that. There are no records or known history of the Proteans or what happened to them, and many people argue about their end.
Spoiler: TimeThe current year is 3K-2151. The time on Velein is first marked by the number of hundred thousand years since the beginning of year 0, second by the specific number of years since the last hundred thousand mark. This means that since year 0, there has been 302,151 years recorded in history. Instead of sections of seven days, they have sections of three, marked by the names Maire, Caire, and Fsaire. They use a daily time system identical to ours, two sets of twelve hours, AM and PM. The time when the planet is lit is from 12pm-3pm. From 12am-5am is "prime" time for illegal activity, so everyone innocent makes sure to be inside during this time.
Spoiler: SpeciesAll three species live in complete equality as far as society generally see's, but of course there are a select few who discriminate against certain races(so go ahead and add that into your bio if you want). The three species you can chose from are:
Spoiler: SeiniSeini(say-nee) are a species that are identical to a Neko, which is a human with cat ears and tail. They are the fastest of the species, most Seini being extremely proficient in parkour. They're tail is not strong enough to hold their body weight, but at full force can disorient a person when striking their head. Cutting off a Seini's tail is the equivilent of cutting off a man's testicals. Seini's have a natural understanding of hand-to-hand combat, and much faster reaction time in close-quarters combat.
Spoiler: ProtekProtek(Proe-tec) are the species that is most closely related to the Proteans. They are an advanced form of humans. Their eyes are able to focus up to 150 feet away, similar to a high quality camera lens. Protek also have very good depth perception. These traits make them excellent marksman with anything ranged, from a sniper rifle to throwing a knife across a room to cut off a single strand of hair. Their accuracy does not mean they can't miss, especially when targeting fast moving and spontanious things, such as a Seini running away(especially in enclosed spaces, like an alley). A Protek's body is naturally weakest of the races, and can get hurt easily.
The terms when referring to the species in the form of an adjective are as follows: Seinian, Protek, and Haayshan.Spoiler: HaayshaHaaysha(Hae-shuh) are the strongest of the species physically. Their muscles are much more dense than the other species, so they can take a lot more damage. Their extra dense tendons make it more difficult for them to change directions or move quickly. Haayshan ears a slightly sharper than a Protek, almost like a mix of human and elven ears. It may not be insanely difficult to dodge a Haayshan punch for a trained soldier, but one hit to an unarmored jaw can instantly knock you unconscious, and if hitting a Protek at full force, have a possibility of instantly snapping their neck.
Spoiler: GeographyThe city is set along the coast, so beaches line one side of the city. A river named The Black Pass goes through the center of the city, connected to the ocean. The Black Pass is known for the amount of bodies that are dumped in it by murderers avoiding the police. There are so many bodies in the river that the police have given up on searching the river for murder victims or missing persons. The sides of the river are surrounded by concrete, and the river itself is 22 feet deep. There is a total of 30 bridges and 16 walkways across the river, connecting both sides of the city, East and West. The majority of the city is a huge connection of slums, with two concentrated areas with skyscrapers, one east side, and one west side. The concentrated areas are called core areas, where most companies reside, the rest called shadow area's, where most gangs reside. Police Stations are scattered everywhere, and are much larger and more fortified than the ones on the modern Earth.

Spoiler: GangsGangs in The Black City are more than associations, they are brotherhoods. Each gang member lives for the other and the cause of the gang. The largest and most powerful gang in the city is called Kamikaze. They are known for their suicidal, merciless, and unrelenting members. Kamikaze gang member outfits are marked by their red plastic emotionless masks that cover all of their face.
Spoiler: PoliceThe Black City Police Department(BCPD) holds some of the strongest police officers, and geared with heavy armor and weaponry. Police officers are geared with either a armored uniform, or full body heavy armor w/ helmet. All police designated vehicles and armor are marked with the forum letters BCPD and are colored with their traditional black and blue. Police officers are assigned to either AM or PM titles, deciding which 12 hours of the day they are on duty.(example: Rick Nolan, heavy armored AM officer). The police have a special forces division, who deal with the insane jobs, usually going head-to-head with Kamikaze.
Spoiler: CorporationsLarge Corporations control the majority of the two core areas of The Black City. They control the entire economy of the city, the black market, and due to the fact they pay for the police's equipment, have almost no resistance from them. Small corporations start out under the control of large corporations, and eventually build up.
Spoiler: OnyxOnyx is the largest corporation in The Black City. They control the entire west side core area, and half of the east side core area. They control 21 small corporations, 7 of which are scattered across shadow areas. Onyx is twice as powerful and wealthy as the second largest corporation, Phoenix.

Civilians are people who are not a part of a Corporation, Gang, or Police Department. These are the people that simply try to not die, usually people who come to the Black City to get away from a law they had broken.

So, you probably have noticed the tag "Yuri" in the title. What this means is "Girl's love," which means lesbian. I know this may upset some people, but I have looked and come to nothing looking for a strictly lesbian roleplay. This led me to make my own. If you have an issue with this, or are upset that you can't make a male character, click that back button and never go to this roleplay again, problem solved. This means that there is no need to post something like "it's too bad I can't make a male character, I would have wanted to roleplay this, that sucks."

Spoiler: Nicole CorianderName(full): Nicole Coriander Sarah Hulliston.
Nickname: Sarah, "Spice" only to her parents and brother.
Sexuality: Lesbian, but is willing to play both sides of the field in order to get information.
Gender: Female of course.
Species: Haaysha
Personality: Boisterous and proud, Nicole seems like the exact opposite of someone you'd want for an undercover agent- a braggart, hearty, loud, and always in your face. While this does leave her with a bit of a pretentious attitude, she uses the archetype of the "loudmouth airhead" to her advantage by feigning ignorance or apathy while in reality taking down every scrap of detail she can soak up. Sergeant Hulliston isn't a very morally gifted officer, but does her job to the letter so long as the pay is good. The more the reward, the greater her level of dedication to a case. While other officers want to protect and serve, Spice is far more interested in making a good profit and gaining the fame she feels she deserves.
Some could call her hedonic, and they would be right. Though a life of luxury is even harder to come by in a place like the Black City, the ambitious police sergeant aims at nothing less than true celebrity status- a fanciful pipe-dream, but her own nonetheless.
Occupation: "Community" Sleeper Operative (for those unfamiliar with police lingo, it's an officer that goes undercover for drug busts and the like by infiltrating gangs or syndicates.)
-Description: Athletic, but balanced. Nicole is aware of her natural physical abilities as a Haayshan, and thus has dedicated herself mainly to speed and dexterity to balance out her abilities and improve her overall combat potential. Off-duty, she can usually be seen in gym or exercise attire frequenting the local bars or running around the dock yards of the Black City. On-duty, she keeps level three anti-ballistic armor hidden under a hoodie and some baggy cargoes. While she may look tomboyish, the outfit allows easy weapons concealment, pragmatic movement ability, and the capacity for ambiguity that a real drug dealer needs on the street.

Sin(Why are you in The Black City?): Greed. Before being transferred to the Black City, Nicole was caught stealing crucial evidence (profitable things, like drugs, weapons, and soft cash) and also keeping in touch with underworld contacts to make deals not approved of by her Department. Instead of removing her from the force, because she had such a great track record, they hoped to rehabilitate Hulliston by sending her to the roughest city on the continent.
