Gryphon's Tale [OOC]

In the lands of the Black Mountain Isle lives the gryphons. Many come from all of the world in their many different races to the extremely cold mountainous island. As a new member of the island and it's surrounding isles, you must adapt to this land of gryphons.


Races

Spoiler: Grypas 

Gryphons with "ear-tufts" that usually appear as brown-feathered. These gryphons come from the far South and aren't as acclimated to the cold climate as the other races. Though they are treated relatively well. Grypas have a strong dislike for Garfans (another race) and have been known to enslave or drive them off.

Spoiler: Hvite 

Gryphons without "ear-tufts", usually with white feathers and a thicker build. These gryphons are the original inhabitants of the Black Mountain Islands and come from the far North. Hvites are usually the most gentle of the gryphons and usually believe in equality amongst the races. Though they still may have their biases on garfans. These are the majority gryphons.

Spoiler: Garfan 

The smallest race of gryphon, only standing around two to three feet tall. As a general rule they tend to stay out of confrontation. Garfans are sometimes enslaved by the other races or kept as pets. The most amazing thing about garfans is their diversity in color, they can be almost any color and nobody knows where they first appeared.

Spoiler: Flying Wolf 

The most mysterious creature by far, rarely seen, but they do exist. Flying wolves are a lot like their cousins and ancestors. Some legends put them as the first flying four-legged animal, while other state they were corrupted demons. Many think they were created by a Wolf Spirit and many flying wolves worship this idea.

Spoiler: Grykle 

Another mysterious race of gryphon, half-owl and half-snow leopard. Originally created by the god Thor to assist the Norse invaders. The grykle is considered a threat by most of the other gryphon races. Though they are technically considered gryphons (more than flying wolves anyway), they often face prejudices. Grykle have made themselves skilled traders and craftsman.

Spoiler: Gallant 

A legendary race of magical lions, possessing large falcon-like wings and reflexes mixed with human intelligence and a lion senses. These creatures were nearly hunted to extinction by the warriors of old and first appeared in Greece, believed to be created by Zeus himself to protect mortals. However, they were cursed, causing them to loose their Demi-god-like abilities and revert to a race of flying creatures.

Appearance:
Personality: He is very adventurous and loves to explore everywhere. Sometimes he can get easily annoyed, but he ties to be respectful. He mostly keeps to himself because he gets harassed a lot. Starclaw has no biased towards any of the gryphon race, however he is curious about the flying wolves.
Reason for coming to the Island: Exploration
Age (Young, Middle Aged, Old): Young
History: Originally growing up on the coastline of Norway, he had regular if not dangerously close contact to humans. Though they were the least of his worries. One day gryphon raiders come down to wipe out the Norwegian Gryphon Colony. The gryphons killed his parents and he was forced to flee to another place. Luckily he was rescued by a small enslaved camp of Garfans, who secretly raised him by hunting small animals and giving them to him.

One day he disappeared and made his way to the Black Mountain Islands.
Possession(s): A golden amulet, which he discovered while traveling the Tropical Lands.

Personality: Reason for coming to the Island: Following Starclaw
Age: Young
History: Originally born as a slave, his parents enslaved by a group of Gypas. Fluffy was the only white garfan slave under their control and he was kept as a pet. Fluffy tired to escape but was captured and continued to be subjugated as a pet. Eventually he met Starclaw when he was younger and he accompanied him off on his journey. He's been by Starclaw's side ever since.

Appearance:
Personality: Aurum is a kind, happy, and cheerful, yet isn't afraid to protect her companions.
Reason for coming to the Island: Had no where else to go
Age (Young, Middle Aged, Old): Young
History: Aurum was hatched at a hatchery, in some sort of odd human facility. After she had found her purpose, to be raised for food and her feathers, she quickly began to make a plan to escape. On the day of the killing when she was being brought out of her cage, she bit one of the guards hands and clawed at he other, quickly taking flight. She had flown far, far away from that horrible place and found the island. Here she was welcome and has lived there ever since.
Possession(s): A red colored necklace she stole from one of the humans on her way out.
Hunting Ability: Average/weak
Speed: Fast
Allies/Companions: None

Personality: Quiet, can be kind, does not enjoy fights unless she has to.
Reason for coming to the Island: Mordebit was originally born on the island.
Age (Young, Middle Aged, Old): Young/middle aged
History: She was born on the island to hunt for the hatchlings. And with this, she was good at her job. She kept it up and began hunting larger and stronger prey when she became the appropriate size. This made her become a very good hunter and she loves to be around younger gryphons.
Possession(s): The rattle of a snakes tail. She uses this to play with the baby gryphons.

Maybe I should've added more detail on prey. Most of the prey is based off European or North American hooved-animals. Large Animals like elk, red deer, wild boar and deer. Smaller animals like squirrels and rabbits.
