[R] Ethereals: The Last Stormhosts

Birds flew over the blue skies of Midgard peacefully, villagers of different races and ethnics were doing their own work. No distractions, nothing to attract them away from their daily chores. Then, the Festival of Orion arrived. The villagers set up their lovely decorations and prepared food for the glorious feast. You can see their smiles on their faces, laughing and talking. They all happy. And a child asked his father, "Father, may I ask?"

"What is it my son?"

"Who is Orion father? Everyone seemed to adore him even he is just a myth,"

The father smiled and laid his hand on his child's soft cheek, "Let me tell you my son," he took a sip from his drink and tells him...

Plot
Midgard, was like our planet. Only far more medieval and inhabited by countless creatures of magic, some of them are Divine and some of them are just those vile Demons. The RP is set in the year 944, during the final days of the bloodied era of the Uprising of Chaos.

Oh what misery these demons had brought us. They only know war and chaos. Bringing doom and destruction to all of Midgard. The brave and the innocents each crying out loud in their hearts, "Orion! We plead for your help!" The cries of pain and sadness. The grunts of the soldiers filled the battlefield. The screams of the innocents running away from the demons of Gharak, the Ethereal of Chaos. He screamed out, "Orion is dead!" He laughed in a maniacal and in a diabolical way, slaughtering millions of innocents with his hordes of vengeance-fueled creatures.

Little did Gharak know, Orion's powers had been bestowed upon a few chosen men and even women to use the Ethereal of Order's immense power of justice against Gharak's force of evil. These 'chosen ones' was known as the Stormhosts. For centuries, only a handful of them existed. Now, at the year 944 these Stormhosts were known to be the last ones to have Orion's powers. They were Midgard's first, and the final hope for the realm's survival.

Lore

Spoiler: Midgard/Imperium of Order 

Midgard, also known as the Imperium of Order was the realm for humans. In the beginning during the year 150, there were several kingdoms and was united by the Ethereal of Order, Orion himself. Orion's existence lead to many researches at that time, from alchemistry and arcane uses. Orion was responsible for Midgard's advancement in the uses of magic. He was even made a patron deity throughout Midgard. However, in 450 Orion died during a war against the Malediths, an army of ghost-like creatures owned by the Ethereal of the Dark, Heidra (Hee-dra).

Orion's death was mourned throughout the Imperium of Order and was in need to find a new Emperor, the Council of the Just elected Count Halvard as their new Emperor.

Midgard was beautiful, ranging from tall mountains to green hills and sparkling surfaces of the sea. But despite all of this, Midgard constantly suffer attacks from the Eastern Region and the Roharian Freemen.

Spoiler: Brithonia/Union States of the South 

Brithonia, or the Union States of the South are an independent kingdom that is in the region of Midgard. Although independent and not ruled by the Midgardian Emperor, Brithonia receives attention equally as the other Midgardian states. Brithonia's main forces are its feared Orion Knights, which the armor of the horse are forged from a steel discovered by Orion known as Pyronium. A strong thick and easy to forge metal that resists most damage. What makes Brithonia different is its innovative weapons. Such as the Husket (sorry, bad name) it reloads similar to our lever-action shotgun, allowing the Husketeers to fire 6 shots before reloading again. Brithonia was also known as the Frontline States since when there is an enemy army attempting to attack Midgard, Brithonia will hold some of the attacks back. Yeah, SOME.

Spoiler: Ethereals and Divine Aethlings

Ethereals are near-godlike beings that possess supernatural powers a.k.a magic. There are 7 Ethereals altogether, they are the Ethereal of Order (Orion), Ethereal of Justice (Uriel), Ethereal of Love (Edena), Ethereal of Redemption (Luthor), Ethereal of Lust (Meneza), Ethereal of Chaos (Gharak) and Ethereal of Death (Ryzar). Although Orion had died, a fragment of his power was found in a crystal and 5 of the Ethereals without Gharak of course reconstruct Orion's body. Basically, resurrecting him.

Orion was the only Ethereal that have special people to use his powers which is the extremly rare, Stormhosts. The Stormhosts were destined to slay the Ethereal of Chaos forever. Orion had also forge special weapons that are called by the Midgardians as the Relics of Orion. If a Stormhost is born, the runic signs of it will shine until the Stormhost wields that particular weapon. So far, 6 Relics had been found. Divine Aethlings are priests that represents an Ethereal

Spoiler: Gharrak, the Ethereal of Chaos

Gharrak, Orion's rival since the unity of Midgard. The RP's goal is to find a way to slay Gharrak forever. Find, Orion's Relics and use it to defeat Gharrak and end the era of the Uprising of Chaos

Spoiler: Uprising of Chaos 

The Uprising of Chaos was a 80-year war against Gharrak's demonic forces upon Midgard. Orion's death is what encourages Gharrak to invade Midgard on a full scale, he decimated most of the Brithonian defenses and Midgard as well. The only ones who can stop him is the Stormhosts with the Relics of Orion.
