It’s a new age, a new dawn, a new life, for all of us.
Spoiler: IntroductionThe sound of leathery wings beating the wind echo in your imagination, and the thought of soaring in the sky makes you shake in anticipation. You’d look up into the sky sometimes, in hope of seeing a humongous reptilian beast with wings flying powerfully in its freedom. Once in a while, your imagination will become reality and the shadow of your dream animal will fly over you. But when you look up, all you see is darkness. For all you can see is the belly of the beast, their underside.
When you’ve had your fill of beast-gazing, you’d head over to your local town. Sometimes, you’d see strange people—ones who don’t seem to fit in. Blue hair, purple hair, even green hair would flash in your sight, but these abnormal colours would vanish in the blink of an eye. If you are lucky, you’d notice a strange tattoo on their necks or arms. You don’t know if it’s just a smear of charcoal or a scar or even your imagination, but it’d always intrigue you.
These people aren’t beast riders—you knew how those ones looked like. They’d always visit the pub or walk in the streets of the town, wearing their riding gear. Most of the time, they carried weapons. Ever since you were a child, you’ve wanted to ride these beasts and to be able to have the unending freedom in the sky. You wanted to become a dragon rider.
You are not human. However, you can be. The forms you can take are limitless, but to morph into human was the easiest for all of your kind. Your natural body, however, include scales, horns, a tail, and, of course, wings. Yes, you are a dragon.
Since the creation of the universe you live in, dragons were born to be free. Your ancestors were free, and so were their ancestors. However, the life form “man” was decided to be created into your world. From history, you knew that humans were smart. They were intelligent enough to learn how your kind works, and how to control you. In your tongue, they were called “besten rithrol”, meaning controller of dragons, or beast rider.
It isn’t a bad thing that humans are able to sit upon your backs and make you fly wherever they want to go. As far as you know, there are humans who have created kingdoms with the help of your kind. A law was made that dragons must cope with humans, in order to survive, and you didn’t mind it.
It’s the darker side of these beings that bring uneasiness to this rule. You knew that there were some humans who would abuse dragons in order to get things done. You also knew that there are dragons who never liked the law of obeying humans, and disputes such as these often ended in fire.
However, you’ve imagined what it’d be like to have a human friend. Another life form you can trust, other than your fellow dragons. What would it be like to have a friend to fly with?
Spoiler: SpecialIn this world, dragons and humans must live with each other in a symbiotic-like ecosystem. Each species benefit from each other, from food to building a kingdom to sharing a life with each other.
When a human and a dragon decide to be partners, a bonding process must transpire. The dragon, in either natural or human form, must place a certain mark on their human. This signifies that the human is bonded to the dragon, and he or she may share their dragon’s abilities. An example of that would be a fire-breathing dragon sharing its fire manipulation powers with their human. Of course, the human cannot start out so big with the shared ability; they must learn how to control said power, along with building a relationship with their dragon.
Spoiler: KingdomsThe story will take place in the land of Petron where four kingdoms reside.
Kingdom of Eira: The kingdom in the north, where it’s always cold. Rarely the sun will appear, but when it does, people believe it to be bad luck. It is also known as the Ice Kingdom, and the citizens worship the ice dragons. Altars made of carved ice or ice blocks are built everywhere, and the worshippers would leave offerings, such as food and tokens that are believed to increase the dragons’ powers. Dragons that live near or secretly in the Kingdom of Eira do indeed have the ability to manipulate snow or ice, ranging from breathing ice to creating a monstrous blizzard.
Kingdom of Saraph: The kingdom in the west, where the land is mainly desert. The sun is always scorching hot, and rainfall would occur once a month. Citizens of Saraph have learned to abide the sun, for they worship the fire dragons. Their altars are built with stone or clay, decorated with desert flowers, food, and tokens. The same belief that these offerings would make the dragons stronger was strongly accepted in Petron. Dragons here are able to control the element of fire.

Kingdom of Ran: The kingdom in the east, where the kingdom is on a peninsula, nearly engulfed by the ocean. Here, there is an equal amount of rainfall and sunlight, but dragons are more fierce and aggressive, causing some brawls. Tsunamis may occur at these fights for they are fought in or close to the water, but dragon riders and their dragons always help to clean up the debris and rebuild structures that may have collapsed. Altars are created by stone or clay, and the citizens like to pour ocean water over stone altars to indicate that they are washing the altar so it may be clean and healthy. With clay altars, people leave the ocean water in a bowl, along with food, plants from the ocean, and tokens. Dragons that live near or in Ran can control water. Not all dragons have wings in this area; some may be serpents or plesiosaur-like dragons.
Kingdom of Gail: The kingdom in the south. Yes, this place does get their wealth, but is not as well populated as the other kingdoms. However, with equal sunlight and rainfall, Gail is able to produce food much more than the other kingdoms. Therefore, the Kingdom of Gail is a manufacturer, shipping out their products such as vegetables, plants, and animals that other kingdoms do not have. Most of the dragon riders in this area are deliverers. The dragons in Gail have an Earth ability: the power to manipulate the ground and nature. There is a variety of moves a dragon is able to do with the nature, such as creating an earthquake or generate enough force into the ground to produce a crack in the land.
Spoiler: Deep SouthDragons who believe there is a darker purpose for the existence of their kind live here and all of them share a strong hatred for humans. They loathe how the Dragon Laws say that humans and dragons must coexist with each other. All Dark dragons have lived in any of the four kingdoms before, but once they started refusing their power, darkness overwhelmed and they became an outcast. They all came to the South and to its leader, Xensor.
Xensor is the head of the order called the Void. For ages, the Void has been composing a plan to overthrow the human kingdoms, and make humans their slaves, like as they believe humans are making them. Soon Xensor and the Void will carry out this millennium-old plan to conquer Petron, and nothing will stop them.
Or so they think.
Spoiler: The Far North
The Far North - Cerioth: High on a mountain, where only dragons can fly to, sits the castle of the Dragon Queen. Many clouds surround the mountain so it may be concealed to the humans who have ventured to the Far North. Inside the castle, the hallways are only human sized, so any dragons who must speak to the Queen must morph into their human form to reach her. The Throne Room is big enough for the Queen’s dragon form to stand in. The dragon capacity is one hundred, and the human capacity is well over 10,000. Once the Queen finds her warriors, she will summon them to Cerioth where they will make plans to defeat Xensor and the Void.
Spoiler: Xensor, an NPC

Forms(this is for Dragons only): You are allowed two extra forms, besides humans. I think only animals will be accepted, as it will be easier. Your forms must be inhabited in your kingdom, i.e. the kingdom in cold weather would have animals adapted to cold weather. Be creative about it! ^^
Weapons: If your character isn't weapons-person, your weapons will be included later as the roleplay progresses, so don't worry. If you are that person who is like some kind of a skilled swordsman or bowman, then your weapons may be used in the beginning of the roleplay. Yes, dragons can have weapons. It will apply to your human form.
Kingdom: Your power/ability will depend on the kingdom. Also remember that your partner will share this power with you, so if you want to, you and your partner may get together to talk about it.

Spoiler: Please read the Rules
1.No Godmodding, no powerplaying.
2.I really dislike arguing, so please no personal arguments in the OOC and IC. If something I say or someone else says in bothering you, please notify me instead of using your character to project your feelings. I will then address the issue, and fix it as best as I can so everyone can enjoy the roleplay.
3.With your powers/abilities, I am allowing your beautiful and creative mind to explore the elements. But please don’t do anything out of the ordinary or beyond the limits. For example, don’t say that your snow abilities are so powerful that fire can’t melt it. Or that you can flood all of Petron with your water powers. I am letting you decide what kind of ability your element can do. If your earth power is able to heal, then that is perfectly okay. If your fire power is able to create a safe fire-like blanket of warmth for your human, then that is perfectly okay.
4.I am GM, so whatever I say goes. (MWAHAHAHHA) Obviously I won’t abuse my power, because that’s not me, hehe. I am pretty confident that there won’t be any problems that I’d have to change my rules.
5.If you are leaving for a vacation IRL or you need to leave the roleplay, please notify me. I’m not going to be dropping you out if you are inactive for more than a week because this is my first self-made roleplay, but it would be very considerate if you would tell me that you’re going to be gone for however long you will be gone. Thank you!
6.Please be literate. The minimum is one paragraph, that’s all I’m asking. I also want to be able to read all of your posts in a matter of time, so please don’t make it too too long. However, if it must be very detailed, then do so. This is roleplay after all.
7. YES, Romance is encouraged! I have no problem with a few kisses on the side, but if you want it a bit more intimate, head on over to PM.
8.This is the most important rule ever. HAVE FUN!! Please have fun! I wouldn’t want you to be bored with this roleplay. Please show off your amazing super fabulous writing and creativity!
