[M] [Surviving the] STRANDED [lonely island]

Plot The plane crash surely was bad enough. You'd think you'd be the only survivor, right? As you wander the island, you'll find more survivors like yourself. Once you've found several people, you'll need to start learning to survive, be wary those who are traveling at night: leopards and jaguars will appreciate an easy snack that strays away from the group.

Edible foods

Meats:
all meat on the island (wild pigs, fish, insects and yes, even predators) are edible, just that some must be cooked more thoroughly than others.

Fruits:
Those who have an appetite for natural, fresh fruit are in heaven in this lush paradise full of berry bushes, coconut palms, banana trees and even a few tomato plants scattered here and there.

Fungi:

The following fungi are one to watch out for:
dark, or black mushrooms with pale or white tops, and brown mold

the following types are edible:


Mushrooms with brown tops and creamy colored stems (Found in caves and in cooler, dark places in the jungle)
Black and white truffles
Green cave mold (Not as good tasting as the other edible fungi, which don't taste the best to begin with unless cooked properly)

Things to watch out for:

Hungry predators
any fungi not mentioned in edible or nonedible fungi
Rainy seasons (seek high ground in this case)

Rainy Season

Rainy season is a bad time of year, if you don't want to drown, seek higher ground. The water can get about to fill the cave system at the base of the mountain in the center of the island, so, seek shelter in a cave higher than the grounded cave systems

Shelter

There are many kinds of shelters that you can build, or, for those who are not work inclined, there are caves you can reside within.

Other information

You may want to establish a kind of order among your group, select a leader, a counselor, and a 'Food supply treasurer' (someone who keeps track of food stocks and makes sure there's enough for everyone)

Lower ranks include: Hunters, builders, fishers and foragers

well then she shall build her own tipi maybe she was on her way to a powwow and dressed in traditional cloths and found a canvas laying about and decided to make her own tipi.

I've never seen canvas on an airplane... maybe she can use animal skins instead, though?
