The 100; The untold adventures
"It has been 49 years since mankind last stepped on Earth. 49 years since we felt real sand between our toes, real grass under our feet, real sunlight on our skin. They only survivors of the human race were those who happened to be on board one of the 12 space stations at the time of the cataclysm. You see, it was us who destroyed our Earth. The superpowers of the west had received bad Intel and wrongly invaded a country on the suspicions that they were intending to start a war. That was the act of war. Other countries got involved, threats were thrown, small forces then began to try to take strategy points on other lands. The armies grew and grew until one country thought it would crown itself the winner by unleashing a nuclear warhead. Well, that led to another, and another. 26 were in blast radius of the first, and they ravaged the planet. There were no survivors, there couldn't have been. If the blasts didn't kill them, the radiation would have.
There were 400 people in space then, 400 survivors. Now there are almost 2000. The stations are crowded, rations are getting smaller by the month, our systems are unable to produce as much oxygen as is needed, and our supplies are dwindling. We have been making the final preparations for our last chance to survive; Project Exodus. 100 of the youth prisoners will be sent down to Earth to see if it is inhabitable. If it is, our problems are solved. If not, well, they will perish and we will have a little more oxygen and food to go around. They will have to look out for themselves down there. The only contact that we will have is through a wristband that will lock around their wrists, with needle like monitors the penetrate the skin. Not pleasant, I know, but, it's our and their best chance.
