    Default A Magical Tale

Earthland. A small yet utterly vast world in which a near infinite supply of magic flows. It had an explosive beginning and a dangerous exposition as a world, and on the brink of an early death a twist of fate brought a confluence of magic from multiple dimensions and otherworlds together--with Earthland as the centerpiece.
A wondrous world developed thus, along with many manifestations of the limitless aether that was and is and will be imbued in Earthland. All life-forms were quickly brought up to high levels of consciousness and dragons shaped Earthland as they saw fit, though they discovered that greater wizards had come before them. Soon after, magical power began to manifest widely in humans and they rose to shape Earthland along with the dragons.
Conflicts wrought Earthland and pulled enormous quantities of magic from all sources, but its inexhaustibility was proven in these times. Spells of great unreasonable power were cast, and things were set in motion that could not be undone. In the end of these times, the void and the second moon were created--the latter to counteract the former.
Following these times life became different in Earthland--it was even more magical than before, with many areas spatially connected to others within the world and throughout others. In areas where magic runs more wild than others, the very laws of the universe may not function as they do elsewhere in Earthland. And in the void, not even the universe exists.
As life in one of the most magical places in the multiverse adjusted to living with that attribute, a few thousand years passed, and for once things seemed to proceed relatively consistently in Earthland. Now an entire new generation of wizards with drives and goals entirely their own is about to become known as they shape Earthland with their actions and the future with their aspirations.
More connected to magic than any generation that came before them, this one shows great promise... and great risk. A place like Earthland can never stay the same for too long.

Zero sits in his makeshift camp his spear in his hands, a fire burns near. He sighs as he goes over what he caught today, nothing, not a single thing and with the rest of his food gone he has little choice but to get some from a nearby town he had avoided for such a long time. Taking his maimed pelts, and snuffing out the fire he pulls his hood over his head leaving for the nearby town of Kru (Ka-ru).

Lun Saad watched as the sun set--a magnificent sight for his magically tuned eyes. As his bare feet swayed in the waters of the crescent of life and death, (probably the most magically concentrated point in Earthland) he turned around to face behind him and gave a final thanks to the Zyldic land of nen. Then, as collected as ever, he slowly came around to view the piercing white icosahedron that floated slightly above his palm. To think that I would also be gifted the keystone of force... Lun allowed the magic of Earthland and its converging otherworlds to surge through him, his enormous cache of energy filling and being overwhelmed by the convergent energies of the lands.

He began to speak aloud to himself: "This makes four of the six, and I know the location of the last locatable one. I'll still have to brew on how to find the keystone of void, but I know that the overseers of Earthland have the keystone of summoning." He called upon his dimensional channel, a link to an alternate space where his vast amounts of lacrima and some magical devices were stored. In response, a magic circle of summoning (a hexagon inside of a hexagon with circles centered around the outside vertices) materialized in the air. He placed the keystone of force on his workbench in this alternate space and retracted his hand as the circle vanished. He stood up and rolled down his leather trousers with frills at the tip of each leg.

Rejuvinated, Lun strapped his blades to his body and de-summoned his leather overcoat so that he could walk comfortably. To think that it might all come to an end here at this beautiful place... That's all the more reason for me to proceed as quickly as I can. But how do I get to central overseer territory on the other side of the world? He paused for a moment, and then started with a chuckle. He had recalled that the great east and west rivers of Earthland both flowed to the south, while the great central river of Earthland flowed to the east. "Looks like it's time for some surfing," he said with a grin.

    Default Awakening

….*Inhale* The sweet smell of a misty morning and oak wood… *Move* Soft, damp grass blades scrunched up beneath her… *Listen* The sound of a few birds whistling, and a gentle breeze tickling the leaves…

Suddenly, Kloure shot up from her resting place on the ground, breathing heavily. All of the sensory information was overwhelming and came at such a rapid pace. Her whole body ached and everything was blurry. She decided to try and calm herself down by focusing her vision and taking deep breaths. The world eventually came into view; it was early morning, she was in a forested area. The place was serene, but she couldn’t keep herself from feeling the anxiety of being there. It had felt like an eternity, or maybe just a few seconds… like a vivid dream. That place was... so strange *gasp* both hands met at her chest, where the stone fused with her astral body. The rigidness of the stone felt cool under her skin. She jerked her hands away and scurried to her feet. She heard a faint trickling of what could be a stream and ran in that direction, stumbling and tripping along the way. Please... Just be a dream. She came to the shallow creek and looked at her reflection. The shaken character that looked back at her fixed its gaze on the turquoise lacrima stone that emerged from its chest. Water began to form in her eyes and the image soon became blurry. The memory of the experience was enough to drive a weak minded person insane, and the realization of her beloved being disintegrated right in front of her... Wait! She wiped the tears from her eyes and began searching the perimeter. He could have gone through the same thing and ended up here as well! "JIRAAAD!" She screamed. Before, when he threw her the stone, he looked scared... like he would never see her again, "Jiiirad!" Confusion set in as she tried to make sense of what happened. She had so many questions, and after a while of searching, hopelessness set in. She fell to the ground with exhaustion, "..jirad.." she whispered, "...please tell me what's going on."

As the day was winding down with the sun melting behind the clouds, Oz finished up his daily meditation at the base of the astral realm. His eyes opened with an array of blues and greens shining immensely until they faded back to white. Slowly rising from his meditation spot, Oz felt the winds of the approaching night sky and he knew that the time was right to set off on his adventure.

"Onyx( his angel companion)," Oz said aloud, "it looks like it's time to seize this moment and take our first steps towards our adventure."

"Well, it's about time you made up your mind you blubbering giant," Onyx sarcastically said with a smile, "but there shall these new winds take us?"

"I want to begin spreading my story to the town on the coast, the closest ones to home!" Oz exclaimed as he picked up his bags and belongings and started walking southwest on the prairie's path to the straights of fertility.

After a brief moment of gathering his items and saying goodbye to his new home, Oz and Onyx began their journey towards the Straights of Fertility.

Zero, exited the forest covering his eyes as the sun peeked just barely over the towns small walls to the east. He adjusted the furs on his shoulder as he watched the merchants start towards the city, the gates could close at any time, hopefully he could make it in and out before then. Pulling his hood ever closer he took a step forward entering the plains that surrounded this trading city so close to the border. Flashbacks of his village slowly swam into his thoughts, the closest to people he had ever been since then all he had to do was sell his furs and buy some food then he could go back into solitary. "Never again," He mumbled under his breath.

"I think it's about high time we change your name aquaman," Lun spoke to the water elemental that formed his pseudo-surfboard on which he rode at a fast pace down the great west river of Earthland. They roared along with the current, propelled as well by the water elemental's magic and a propulsion force spell. Lun struck up his magical power and heat coursed through him, taking away the chill of the wind and water. "It'll be drip for a little while." There was a deep surging sound in response, but nothing more.

They pushed on, and if their current magical enhancements last, then Lun should be riding the current of the central river by the next sunset. Once on the more consistent currents of the central river he planned to prepare a bit more for his encounter with the overseers. If they didn't want to give him the keystone, he would have to be ready to both escape and return to snatch it with a vengeance.

As the night rapidly approached, Oz decided it was time to set up a small camp next to the water on the path to the Straights of Fertility. He made a small campfire and unpacked a small meal that he had made before he left for his adventure. He soaked his feet in the small opening of the river and soaked in the soothing properties of the chilling water.

"It feels SOOO good to relax and take in the beautiful world," Oz said with a half-smile.

Nights like this reminded him of the many trips his mother would take him on to learn about the healing qualities of nature and how to attune with the surroundings.

A small tear shed from his eye and fell into the water, causing a slight ripple and disrupting the flow of the water.

After this moment, Oz decided it was best to go to sleep next to the fire and get plenty of rest for the next morning.

Zero had entered the city just before nightfall, as the merchants and caravans had slowed his progress to the gate. The gates closed behind him, Zero walks the streets until he finds himself in a quiet marketplace. One merchant is still there idly packing away his wares, he looks at Zero saying "What do you want," in a disinterested tone. Zero hands him the furs without a word, the trader looks them over laughing. "These furs are close to worthless, I'll give you five copper no more no less," Zero takes the money and leaves to see if he can afford a place to stay in the city.

In the middle of a gentle sob, Kloure slapped her cheeks and wiped the tears from her face as if she was trying to hide the fact that she was crying. Well, this is it. This is what you have, now do something about it! She hopped up with new found energy. Find civilization. Then you can find out where you are. Hmm..Clothes. She couldn't think of any clothing options in this forest. As embarrassing as it was, she came to the conclusion that she had to walk into the village naked. She thought that coming up with a story would help relieve some of the shock, so she began thinking of a tale of bandits chasing her, or perhaps just tell the truth? As her mind worked quietly, a small group of deer came to a small clearing about 20 yards in front of her; 2 does and 3 young ones. One of the young deer stole her attention when she realized it was white instead of brown like the others. She loved this sort of anomaly, her father taught her about the genetic mutation. As she watched the families play, her mind was eased a bit. She subconsciously began to take in the fine details of the deer, how long its hair would be, what the texture is, the color. And then her forearm was tickled, like a big bug landed on it, but when she looked down, it was no bug... but a thick sleeve of solid white, soft, short hair had grown!
