It's 2089, and there's an ancient, abandoned city, where not every inch of it is explored, but not every inch uninhabited. The homeless who linger there call it Greymore. Everything is tinted with strangely beautiful shades of black or blue, barrels set alight, people cooking rat meat over them and selling them for whatever trinkets they need. Tall, tight buildings make for claustrophobic alleyways and unavoidable encounters- but some other more dignified beings relish in the filth of the place. Greymore demons...could do much better. Their species, demons in general, have the job of ridding sinful humans and eating their souls from their dimension above-but the ones on the planet are just as homeless as the humans they were meant to ridicule. Without the ability to touch life, like ghosts, they're helpless.

Life goes on with the two creatures coexisting until a cross-species war breaks out around the planet. It's from an immense wave of aggressive, deformed demons, unable to use their harvesting magic, but able to attack living things. Blindly killing for souls they can't eat, this behavior has never been seen before. Greymore takes no notice, hiding away from civilization, but the demon's realm is also starving. The human population is shriveling and the mutated demons being cast to the ground are in unnatural numbers. Helpless, the realm decides to leak enchantments to the most peaceful place on Earth- Greymore. Some may take the magic and the hint, and leave the city to harbor the fight. Some may wait for the war to reach them. And some may be a part of the war themselves.

Currently, at the start of roleplay, the enchantments are leaked in Greymore, but demons are yet to find them. All characters must be in the city at first.
