Hail the Apocalypse

Spoiler: Background Information 

It’s been 20 years since the world went to hell. The US and China, locked in a bitter Cold War not long after the fall of the Soviet Union, both poured research into multiple projects that might give them an edge over the other should things come to blows. Nuclear weapons were taken off the table, both sides realizing that once the nukes started flying, everything would go to hell. After all, memories of the first Cold War still lingered.

So instead they poured their research into other things. Armor systems, infantry scaled weapons, and biological weapons that would destroy the morale of the enemy. Spies were abound, and the US developed their bioweapon first. Named the ‘Super Evolutionary Virus’ by the team that made it, the SEV forced the target to mutate into horrendous monstrosities, and made it airborne to boot. Chinese spies were able to steal the formula for the SEV and bring it back to their homeland. With it, the Chinese developed the SEV, testing it on American prisoners to make sure it worked, before dropping canister bombs of it in almost all major American cities.
People fled in panic, trying to get away from the Virus. Most were successful, but for every person that made it out, three died, and two mutated into beasts. The American response was just as brutal, if not more so. Carpet bombing of all Chinese cities and the surrounding land, followed by firebombing, and then conventual explosive to round it out.
But with the powerhouses fallen, fighting broke out across the world, with countries falling as they tore each other apart. Many called it the apocalypse. Many would use this to take advantage of the moment, to rise to power. Some see it as a break from the life they once had. Some, simply Hail the Apocalypse.

So, with that established, lets move on to some of the other things that will most likely crop up.

Rules:
1) General site rules apply. its common sense, but still gotta put it here.
2) No fighting OOC. You wanna have your characters fight IC for whatever reason, sure, just don't make it personal and we'll be cool here. Hell make it believable and I'll reward it
3) While this is based off of a tabletop system, we're going with fluff instead of crunch, otherwise I'd lose my mind.
4) Axulis Prime is my Co-GM for this, so his word holds as much weight as mine.
5) Have a good time. While this is not meant to be too serious an RP, just don't take it too far, yeah? Trying to solo run a city for loot will get you killed, without doubt.


Character Sheet:
-Name: (make it fit the race or background)
-Race: (Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, gnomes, halflings, Tieflings, Half bloods of the other races[besides Tieflings] and Half-Dragons are all acceptable races. If you don't know what a certian race is, ask me or Axulis, or google it if you don't want to wait on us.)
-Age: (This should reflect the race, and tie into your background in some way)
-Class: (Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, Sorcerer, etc.[any basic class from DnD/Pathfinder is fair game] If you have a different one, run it by us and we'll talk about it.)
-Background: (Where they around before it all went to hell, or were they born into this hellish world? What have they done in the time before the party comes together?)
-Motivations: (Why does your character still go on, in this bleak world? Is it to find a loved one, or to maybe save this world somehow?)
-Equipment: (What's your character packing, and how much of it? This should fit your class, so a rogue shouldn't be using a SAW, but a shotgun works, etc. Weapons can be fantasy style weapons like swords and bows or modern guns. But no gun-swords. No one will start with a vehicle due to reasons.)
-Personality: (What kind of person are they?)

Now, group size is looking to be around 6-7 people otherwise this will be a bit too big for how I want to run this. So, Applications are open.

Take the basic story of Fallout, replace the nukes with a bio-weapon that hit all the major cities and thus killed infrastructure of both the US and China, throw in all the playable races and classes from DnD/D20 Modern/Pathfinder, throw in some Mad Max for vehicle combat and you get this RP.
