Storm how does my character look? Any adjustments I should make?
Another round of bullets hits my skin. Well, fire away
Cause today, I won't let the shame sink in. We are bursting through
the barricades and reaching for the sun.
We Are Warriors
Well there were a few Beserk references but the idea for the character was more along the line of someone that was in full mental and emotional turmoil because they were dead then twisted back to life through a construct.
EI: Someone who was not intentionally Chaotic Evil. The choice was out of his hands.
Name: Kaz Dorsai Titles or Ranks: Captain Race: Half-orc Nationality: Free-marches Age: Late 20’s Appearance: Kaz is easy to notice, and hard to forget. Standing almost eight feet tall this mountain of a man is almost solid muscle. The skin under his clothing is crisscrossed with a variety of scars, some from his choice of career and some from his youth. His clothes are well made and generally match the current trend of fashion in the free marches, though they are always colored to match the colors of his forces standard; A dark grey, a flame bright orange, and a green so dark it’s almost black.
Due to this trend his hair is currently dyed to match his clothes. No matter the fashion trend, Kaz keeps his hair reasonably short. The sides he keeps shorter than the top which he neatly parts. Currently Kaz keeps his face clean shaven.
Kaz further stands out because his skin is a greyish brown in color. His square jaw juts out a bit, possibly do to the two tusk-like canine growing from it. His eyes are a dark grey color, perhaps to match his deep gravelly voice.
Spoiler: Weapons
Spoiler: Rifle
The bread and butter of the Dorsai Dragons. All 50 or so members have a rifle, as was negotiated by Kaz upon taking his first contract with the guilds of the free marches. His regular dealings with the guilds and merchant princes keep the Dragons stocked in drake powder as well.
Each rifle also has a bayonet for close combat.
Spoiler: Bayonet
The bayonet can be used as a knife when not attached to the rifle.
Spoiler: Dragons (Blunderbuss Pistols)
Kaz wears a pair of bandoliers that hold a total of four of these weapons.
Spoiler: Warhammer
A massive weapon given to Kaz after he saved the life of a wealthy merchant prince. The half-orc carries it across his back and has rarely used it in battle. He does however spar using it from time to time.
Spoiler: Extra Ammo
Kaz wears two ammunition pouches. one contains standard lead balls. The other contains packets of shot wrapped in flashpaper. These get loaded into the dragons. When the weapon is fired the flashpaper ignites releasing the shot to spread across the battlefield.
Creed: A brute kills for pleasure. A fool kills from hate. We kill because we’re good at it and someone’s paying. Personality: Kaz is loyal; To his friends and his contracts. This occasionally causes trouble do to the infighting among the free marchers, however it has also given him a measure of protection as well. The princes and guildmasters know contracts end, and when the Dragons become available they rarely remain so. Knowing that any contract they take will be completed and without threat of betrayal makes them a rare commodity.
Kaz is also loud, he has been accused of behaving more like a common soldier then a commander of men. The half-orc replied to this with a boisterous laugh, a raised cup and later woke next to the accuser’s daughters. Kaz enjoys life, spending his down time almost hedonistically; After all the next job might be his last.
Skills and Talents:
Spoiler: Soldier of Fortune
Kaz has spent the majority of his life as a mercenary. In that time the half orc has seen a lot of combat. He has learned what tactics work and the most efficient weapons in the field first hand.
Spoiler: Shrewd Dealer
As the leader of a mercenary band Kaz often negotiates their contracts. Having dealt with Guild Masters and Merchant Princes for years the half-orc has picked up a thing or two about numbers, negotiating and reading what a person wants.
Banes:
Spoiler: Half-blood
Being only half human Kaz is often underestimated and treated as a second class citizen. Sometimes this can be used to his advantage, most of the time however this more often interferes in his life.
Spoiler: Faithless Heathen
Due to his history with them Kaz has a distaste for religion and religious figures. Similar to the treatment he receives as a half-blood this viewpoint can on occasion get the mercenary into trouble.
Spoiler: Biography:
Kaz was abandoned on the step of a small Aeternistic orphanage in the free marches. Unfortunately for Kaz the orphanage’s keeper did not treat all the children fairly. Those of a decent similar to Kaz were treated the worst of all. As he aged Kaz was mistreated more and more often. He was punished for the most menial things.
Kaz was always large for his age, which often merited extra punishment. It did however also save him from his torment. It was his size that grabbed the attention of a mercenary sent to buy recruits. Believed to be years older than he was an offer was made for him. A price that was accepted and the boy left the orphanage and the clergy that beat him regularly.
His life in his first mercenary band was harsh. However the boy wasn’t mistreated because he was a half-blood, or because he was around ten rather than the twelve that usually were recruited. He was mistreated because he couldn’t fight. As his skills developed however Kaz began to earn more respect from his newfound peers.
The half-orc grew to a man fighting battles. He developed his combat skills alongside his morals. He learned tactics as he learned who he was. And when he had finally become the adult he was going to become Kaz spent the money he had saved.
The money was spent on four dragons and a rifle. Afterwhich he left the group he was a part of and formed his own, naming themselves after his new weapons. In the 6 or so years since their formation the dragons have earned a reputation as ferocious as their name.
Spoiler: RP Sample:
“Kazim?”
“Nope.”
“Cassidy?” The first voice asked.
“Wrong.” The gravely voice replied again.
“Cassandra?” The tall handsome owner of the first voice offered again. He was taller than most people, and knew he looked dashing in his uniform.
The coat was dark grey, with bright orange at the cuffs, collar, lapel and pockets. These were lined with a green so dark it was almost black. The man’s pants matched the coat. His well shined boots were also dark grey. Like the coat the folded cuff was orange lined in dark green. The loose fitting shirt worn under the coat looked at first to be black, yet under closer inspection was a green.
“No- Wait, what did you just say Grif?” The tall man’s companion asked.
“I said Cassandra.” Grif replied looking up at his companion with excitement and confidence.
“Wrong.” The man said laughing. “Even the worst caretaker isn’t creative enough to be so mean.”
“Speaking of mean Captain,” A pretty young woman dressed to match the men said as she caught up. She looked between the two; The tall handsome Grif and their brutish commander who dwarfed him. “It’s rotation time.”
“Thank you Mindy.” The half-orc said. His grey eyes scanned the caravan; His eyes lingered over the men marching alongside in a uniform to match his, and what few of them he could see relaxing on the wagons. Taking a deep breath he bellowed. “DRAGONS SWITCH!”
As soon as his words rang out the troops on the wagons scrambled down, and those guarding them scrambled up. With the exception of a momentary hesitation due to a few startled horses or drivers the wagons kept rolling. With a nod the commander turned to his male companion. “Better get some sleep Grif, you’ve got the the night rotation.”
Grif swore and slowed down begining to move among the wagons to where his squadmates were. The woman took his place besides their commander. With a quick glance around she spoke in a less official tone. “So did he figure out what Kaz is short for?”
Kaz rolled his eyes. “Nope, and he’s the only one still trying.” His eyes cut to the side at the woman. “Unless you would hazard a guess Melinda?”
The woman cringed at the use of her full name; She paused long enough to pop to attention and offer a quick salute. “No Captain Dorsai sir.” She responded before resuming her stride.
The two shared a brief laugh before the mirth faded from Kaz’s face. “Talk to the caravan master, tomorrow the Dragons ride. We’re gonna be in the clear tomorrow. We hit raider territory the day after. I want us fully rested by then.”
“You got it boss.” The woman replied before peeling off. The big half-orc continued his march, escorting the caravan to its destination. His thoughts drifting through previous trips through the area.

For those curious, Su's image has been added! If you're curious about the artist who drew it and would be interest in hireling them for commission PM me and I'll send you detail to her!
Storm, since I included a detailed character description - is it alright if I include an image of which it is understood the face and appearance but not clothing is indicative of my character?
It's not dead on accurate, but only because of the amount of jewelry in the image in question.
Mink, do you know the name of the artist? Pretty sure I went to school with them. That style is hauntingly familiar.
Rain; shoot it to me via skype or something. I prefer images be used like Mink did, getting art made for the character in some manner. Going for a book-like narrative depth in this. Half the time, book covers don't have (accurate) character art anywhere.
