Your post is wonderful! Don't worry so much about comparing your writing to others, and just focus on what you want to expose about your character in posting. We all have different writing styles, and in forums like these you'll run into advanced writers that may be a bit intimidating, but I promise everyone is here to have fun! You're doing great

Millie Evanson

Gender- Female

Age- 25

Occupation- graphic artist for film and gaming companies

Reason for attending- studying the culture-rich Autumnal festival and drawing inspiration from it for a project.

Personality- Millie is best-described as a people-watcher, someone who pays close attention to the tiny details of everyday life that most take for granted or altogether fail to notice. Her enjoyment in watching scenes and people serves her best as an artist, though she doesn't like it when the same attention is reciprocated back to her. Often this unwanted attention is due to her fair skin and chocolate brown hair that give off a sweet appearance, but her piercing dark eyes study everything they come across in such close detail that they can loose that welcoming warmth in a surprising contrast. But her enthusiasm and excitement for seeing simple things in life like it's the first time is evident in her eyes when she draws or when she's drawing inspiration from a person or place.
Millie often draws inspiration from things in her everyday life from anyone anywhere, and this can lead to her tendency to do everything a little slower than usual as she is focusing on everything while doing one thing. Though her artistic side can slow her down sometimes, she shows her hard work and determined mindset when she's working on a project or on an idea.
Though artists are often perceived as open and perceptive people, Millie can be like this for ideas to flow through her onto paper, she is actually a fairly closed off person to people. This does not lead her to be bitter, for Millie can be very sincere and kind.

Other- Millie owns a pet Corgi named Lancelot, though she was sad to learn that she couldn't take Lancelot with her to the festival as the Old Haven Inn she's staying at doesn't allow pets.
Because Millie watches people so intently as an artist, she's developed a certain talent for reading people. But they aren't 'books' to her, and she can't really read them as easily as that. It's just noticing a certain habit about them or picking up on a nervous tick a person might have.
She's also crazy for a nice, hot, cup of tea. Earl grey is her favorite.

It's fine Ninja. As long as you don't take too long, especially when interacting with someone. I don't have a clear definition of 'too long' but but we are all reasonable people so I doubt it will be too much of a problem, and I will handle it if it becomes an actual problem. I like the pace so far though, I am really impatient so this has been great.

I wanted to try a different kind of character so I decided to bring in one from a different rp

Name: Alexander "Alex" Rose

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Reason for attending: Needed a change of scenery from his normal life

Appearance:

Occupation: Aspiring musician, currently in retail

Personality: While not completely narcissistic, some people would definitely say that Alex is full of himself. Alex just attributes this to being very confident. Alex is a very outgoing person and tries to be friends with everybody. when Alex is happy, he feels like he's on top of the world, but often times when he's sad he puts himself in a hole that nothing can bring him out of. Alex is also very competitive and will take on almost any challenge presented to him. Alex is musically inclined and wants to take his talent to being a professional.
