she opened the door to the shop relived to find it unlocked instead of her having to knock, but when she entered she didn’t see the man from before. So, she began wandering around the shop looking over each item, she couldn’t help but notice the pieces looked to be spotless something she would have to make sure stayed that way. After all who wanted to look at dusty antiques?

As if on cue the door opened once again and a man came in looking around the piece then at her raising an eyebrow. She wasn’t very sure on what to do so she figured she would just roll with it. Walking up the man in his late 50 she smiled a bright smile and introduced herself “Good morning sir, my name is Ava Stone if you need any help at all please don’t hesitate to ask.” She nodded at her and to her own relief didn’t ask questions instead he studied the pieces. She moved behind the counter and waited on her new boss to show so he could at least teach her about what she was doing. She was good at figuring things out on the go but you could only go so far without the basic knowledge of what you where doing.

Shortly after Ava spoke to the customer Daedalus came from the back. "Good morning Ava, have a good night last night?" Daedalus asked as he placed a vase down on the counter to be put up on display. They certainly had many assortments of antiques in the store, from books all the way to an old Gaelic sword.

"Good evening fine customer, would you like to know about anything in my fine shop?" Daedalus asked as he walked over to the customer presenting them with a big warm welcoming smile which just melted anyone's heart. Daedalus was certainly a people person so being the boss was a good position for him and his shop.

She watched as her new boos handled the customer taking mental notes on what she needed to do and how to address this set of clients.

She had been so focused on the glow that seemed to fallow her new boss she had even realized the spirit staring at her trough the door, but as soon as she realized it she made eye contact ice shooting down her spine. She just got this job she couldn’t risk it now not over some spirit that had taken to ruining her every job. At her last one it would literally knock her into things breaking glasses and full bottle of liquor. The cost alone of the broken things had gotten her fired, chewing her lower lip between her teeth she quickly turned her back pretending she didn’t see it and act as if she was wiping down something. Noticing it gives it power was what she kept telling herself to help her ignore the monster that had fallowed her for years.

It was a gruesome creature that stared coldly through the windows, its eyes leaking what looked to be black tears and its skin the palest grey a dead thing could be. The mouth was sown shut not that matter somehow it could echo its voice into her head, freighting her or threatening her. The black hair around its head seemed to be soaked and unwavering even when the wind blew through the trees. It hadn’t found a way in yet but it would soon enough that was one thing she was certain of.

Catching a glimpse of the evil spirit out the corner of his eye Daedalus cleared his throat and smiled at their first client of the day. "Please excuse me while I clean up the front window of the shop, it would seem there is some trash that needs taken care of." Daedalus exclaimed as he walked away and headed out to the spirit and exercised it before Ava's very eyes.

It wouldn't have been believable had Ava not seen him do it right in front of her. Meanwhile the client was to preoccupied with looking at the antiques to even notice the white blinding light that erupted from Daedalus' hands as he extinguished the evil spirits existence.

She watched confusion as the man went to the spirit and made I go away in a blinding light, no one had ever seen the things she saw let alone made them vanish. She kept her eyes on him as he came back in but she said nothing of the title wave of emotions she felt.

Deciding to leave it alone she watched the man walk out of the shop as if nothing happened sadly it was something that she knew very well, they couldn’t see them and that made her different. She went to straighten paper highly unsure of what to do, how did she ask him the thousand of questions that rang through her mind and was she ready for him to know things haunted her and her dreams. She was alone and that was something she suffered with from time to time but today she was not going to let the darkness swallow her it had before.

Once Daedalus had taken care of the evil spirit he proceeded to explain different artifacts they had in the shop which was more like antiques than artifacts but he still explained them to the customer well enough to get the sale. "Have a nice day, and please come again if you ever find anything you would like." Daedalus said to the customer as they left and smiled as he seemed to hum a happy tune making his first sale and put the money in the cash register.

Daedalus then proceeded to write down what was sold and for how much it was sold on top of brought a few more antiques up from the back even though he said it was where he lived was in the back of the shop so it was odd he would have inventory in the back where he lived.

She watched him make the sale as if nothing happened and then he kept moving, going to the back and pulling out more odd and ends, she was certain she remembered him saying he lived here but to come out of the space he was supposed to live made her curious. When he came close to her she smiled “Do you always sleep with the inventory before it goes on the shelves?”

She honestly wasn’t sure how he would take her joke but she had always been cursed with whatever crossed her mind could very well spill out of her mouth. It was something that had gotten her in trouble a few times before. Even now she wasn’t certain it would not get her in trouble but she needed to know what she could and could not say around here. After all she needed the job so she would stay in line.

Daedalus smirked at Ava and laughed. "It would feel so lonely if it didn't have anyone to keep it company while the shop was closed." Daedalus stated as he set the merchandise down on shelves. Not only was he unique his jokes were eccentric just like him. Daedalus was quite possibly the most unique person that Ava may have ever met in her life, and that was saying something since she had seen a lot of things and met all sorts of people thus far in her life.

she chuckled at the possibility of that joke being turned perverted. Going back to the doodle she had started on a small piece of paper waiting for instruction on what she was really supposed to be doing and how long she was supposed to be here “Do we take lunch? Do you need help? I mean I don’t really know what I’m supposed to be doing…” crumpling up the doodle she tossed it into the trash quickly since she probably shouldn’t be drawing on the job.

She figured she would ask he was a fancy looking kind of man maybe he would drink coffee or have something useful for her to do. She didn’t know much about the items but she could always ask “Do you have a detailed inventory list? I could go over it and learn so I can actually be of use around here.”

"We take lunch around four in the evenings, it is when I get no customers.. When someone comes in just greet them with your beautiful brilliant smile miss Ava. For now you can help me catalogue the inventory if you wish to help." Daedalus exclaimed as he smiled at Ava and handed her a binder full of an unimaginable amount of antiques listed for what he had in stock. How could he possibly have what seemed to be a library full of antiques in the back? It was weird.

"It just so happens that I do have a binder for the items in question to be sold." Daedalus said as he pulled out another binder not so big for it only had the items on the shelves listed and described. "The list changes as the shelf items change." Daedalus said as he continued to tidy up even though there wasn't really any dirt to clean up.
