ETERNAL ROME: a SLAVE'S LIFE

There is not one 'Verse, but many, for all worlds are connected. They are formed, and die, but one constant is Rome, a world that serves as a nexus for all 'Verses. A bright, shining, massive, megatropolis surrounded on all sides by what is known as 'fog' a monster-filled gap through which all worlds are connected. It is through this dangerous environment which flows all trade, including the most highly sought after good; slaves.

Slavery is part of life in Eternal Rome, every citizen has at least one, trained by slave trainers to fit various jobs from Assistants, to performers and escorts, to laborers, to gladiators. Slave training is a personal, and highly profitable endeavor, but the Slaver's guild only allows in those they have vetted thoroughly.


You are fresh catch, made a slave for various reasons, maybe you were sold to settle a debt, or captured during war, or kidnapped, or maybe you are a princess and your world died, and you managed to escape. It might define you, where you come from, you might be defiant, you might not want to be a slave, but it doesn't matter, for you will bend, or you will break.

The worlds that slaves come from are varied in technological and social development, and may even have wildly different and even alien environments, however all have similar atmospheres. They are not dorectly connected, meaning you can't walk or even fly beneath them, but there is one thing that connects all of them...The Fog

A phenomenon not understood by even the greatest scientists, the Fog is not simply a meteorological event. It is a gateway into a cloudy dimension through which travel in between worlds is possible. Not safe in the slightest, though, unless you have a special vehicle called a Fog Skiff, manufactured only in Rome, for it is full of...

Fiends, creatures from the darkest nightmares of all living beings, thus ensuring Rome's total control over all trade and commerce between worlds.

Culture - briefly describe the culture of your world

Attributes - score each 1 to 5 with 5 being perfect and 1 being horrible. On honor system do not give 5s n all, and no stat is static, so while you CAN become better or worse than what you want, it might be easier to score how you wish to be , but it might be more fun to become that.


Beauty - obvious
Endurance - obvious
Empathy - how much you are affected by psychological and physical influences (1 would be cold and callous, 5 would be very sensitive)
Temperament - likelihood to obey orders
Intellect - intelligence and speed of learning new skills
Nature - their values and how naturally obedient they are
Pride - in this cast 1 is prideful and haughty, and 5 is having no pride whatsoever.
Exoticism - how exotic you seem, can easily be increased by adding tattoos and piercings
Physique - how skinny/fit/fat you are. This is different than the others 1 means skinny, 2 is slim, 3 is healthy, 4 is voluptuous, 5 is obese

starting out, depending on your background, and I am doing this on the honor system, you can have 1 to 4 skills, these are rated at 1 to 5, and if you have a skill at 5, you can only have one. These skills are varied from things like Clerical work, medicine, smithing, martial arts, sexual acts, and so on.

Secret qualities:

Each person will have 1 to 3 secret qualities that are a secret to everybody until they are revealed. PM them to me when you submit your character, and they will be revealed when they come up. You can also have 1 or 2 open qualities, which are listed in CS normally

I use www.Nameberry.com for names. Think I have an idea for my character. She is gonna be from a Steam punk verse and was a mechanic who had some sort of misfortune forcing her to become a slave. Unsure what that misfortune is right now.

Appearance: Ever fair in her complexion, Alessia was considered one of the most beautiful Queens Neyfaren had ever had; only surpassed in beauty by her mother, Talindra. Alessia's eyes are a trademark of the women of her family, being of a stunningly bright emerald color when most elves would have blue or silver eyes. Normally, she would wear clothing fit for a Queen, but such luxurious clothing hasn't been the norm for her as of late.

Biography: Alessia was spoiled growing up, daughter to Talindra of Nefayren. Talindra was a cold ruler and often used people to gain material thing or social status. Most were afraid to challenge her, however, so her icy nature went unchecked and influenced Alessia greatly, turning her into nearly a clone of her mother.

When Talindra became ill and passed away unexpectedly, Alessia was made Queen immediately, and she took advantage of what came with that power as her mother had-- and in some ways, even worse. The smallest of crimes were punished. Stealing a loaf of bread or simply talking about the current or late Queen in a negative light would land you in deep waters and put you at the whim of Alessia and whatever mood she was in that day. It was often not a good one.

Eventually, the people had enough of the Edaeor family abuses and formed a coup. The people decided that Alessia would be sent to Eternal Rome and learn just how much her family's cruelty hurt, hoping that it might have her change her ways... or at the very least...
