What are they? Korea and Germany are making some excellent films. Recently I saw "I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK" which was awesome. You might as well classify it as a romantic comedy but it's a lot more than that. Really funny and weird. Of course, 3-Iron and The Lives of Others have been mentioned here several times before. And Mostly Martha and I'm probably forgetting a ton of them. Also, while I love anime, I'd like to exclude it from the current debate. |

I just saw Black Book (Zwartboek), which I thought was really awesome... until that hot chick got a vat of shit dumped on her... Then there was The City of Violence, which is one of the better Korean action films out there. |

I'd have to say the Russian movie Avalon is one of my favorites. Along with The Princess Blade and Pan's Labyrinth. |

Zwartboek! Definitely. Also, De Brief voor de Koning. Oorlogswinter I have yet to see. In the category Chinese, House of the Flying Daggers, Hero and Musa the Warrior. Then, one of my alltime favorites; G.O.R.A. Bir Uzay Filmi (G.O.R.A. A Space Movie), a Turkish SF movie. I still want to learn Turkish just for being able to understand it, because I think the subtitles miss out on a lot of the jokes. And one of the best movies ever; Pan's Labyrinth. As for series, I've watches the first four episodes of the shōjo-series Hana Yori Dango (Boys before Flowers). It's a fairly good Japanese dramaseries, but after four hours I kind of got sick of all the sappy romance and the crying I was doing myself. I still want to finish it but I never seem to get around to it... |

Ichi the Killer. 'Nuff said ![]() The perfect film for gore, weirdness and mind boggling. I only watched it once, and I turned to my (then) bf and went "Huh?!" O.o He laughed and said I'd have to watch it again to understand it. But at that point I was still kinda grossed out about it, so I thought I'd wait a while before watching it again lolz. I'll have to find some clips of it for people to get grossed out over. My favourite scene is the tongue cutting scene, because it actually looks kinda real ![]() Ummmm, Battle Royale was kinda kewl too. There's another Japanese flick that I like, but can't remember the name of A bunch of people in a forest with like zombie/vampire type creatures after them. The main guy just escaped from prison and there's Mafia guys.... I unno. I can't think of the name. Grr

House of Flying Daggers is amazing. Pan's Labyrinth was good. I forgot the name of the movie, but it was a japanese movie about this boy who survived one of the A-Bomb strikes [I forget which one] Jisatsu Sakuru (Suicide Circle) Was amazing and I highly recomend it. The Ringu films were much better then what they did to the ring... The Ju-on films were awesome too. Much better than The Grudge films.. Kurosufaia was awesome. The Chakushin ari films were awesome too. Also anything with Bruce Lee was amazing and you can not deny that.. Honogurai mizu no soko kara was also good [english remake is Dark Water] Ong-bak was also amazing. |

if its a historical asian kung fu movie then chances are I've seen it and loved it. Then there shoalin soccer and Kung Fu hustle. Steven Chow kicks ass!! I also love this other Japanese movie but I forgot the name. IT's either Mr Macdonald or donaldo mac Danaldo. Greatest comedy of all time!!! Then there that old german movie about WW2 Das boot. It's about the german's in a sub, funny enough you end up liking them and hoping they make it, which I think takes alot. |

I like Jackie Chan's original asian movies, he's always been an awesome martial artist, and I love the way he can use anything around him as a makeshift weapon! |
