This thread is devoted to the discussion of liquor or higher proofed alcohols in all their forms and mixtures. Varieties Brands Makes Stories etc... Despite the name I am a whiskey man myself. I drink on a fairly tight budget so I can't readily afford the luxuries my preferred variety has to offer. Being Irish I'm pursing the various brands of Irish whiskey. From what I've tried so far I like the Jameson Standard/Regular. A 750ml bottle will run around $25. I drink straight out the bottle room temp or chilled most regularly, but it's good on ice with lime as well. If you have other ways to drink Jameson that don't involve cola don't hesitate to share. I've been looking to try Powers, Killbeggan, and Bushmills. If anyone knows anything about those brands or other whiskey's up to $30 please share. |

Oh dear. I'm going to get in trouble in this thread. Ready for the best, girliest, most delishious drink ever? EVAR??? The Pink Drink ~By the good gentlemen at Bulls Tavern in San Luis Obispo, CA. 1/3 good vodka (I reccomend Skyy or better. Pref better!) 1/3 7-Up (or Sprite, I guess) 1/3 X-Rated Shake it up, pour over ice in a tumbler. Add a twist of lime if you want. Tastes like gummy bears and not at all like alcohol. It will mess you up, but you'll enjoy every minute of it. In case you haven't seen X-Rated, here's what it looks like: ![]() Costs about $25 at the grocery store. Worth every penny. |

Here's something extremely easy: 3/4 Mountain Dew 1/4 Smirnoff Vodka, apple flavor Mix well. Present to people as "Cali". I shall attempt to make Anne's Pink Drink this weekend. "But we don't drink alchohol!" "But it's pink!" "Oooh pink! OKAY!" |

This is a drink my friend invented. He wasn't such a "happy" person after it. His instructions: The Loso Delight 50% Absolut Vodka (No cheep crap, don't wanna become blind) 25% Ginger ale (For the color, not the taste) 25% Cold water (Who can wait for it to freeze?) Drink and enjoy the hangover the next day. I wonder if it is Yummy

Omfg!! I love the pink drink!!! It took me a while to remember what it was. Here's my favorite drink. It's called a porn star. You can get it as a shot or a drink. 1/2 oz red sour puss 1/2 oz blue curaco And for the drink you just add 7 - up it's very yummy |

I only really enjoy whiskey and tequila, and whiskey more. Ballantine's is my current favourite (here in the Netherlands you can get a bottle of that around €20, but I wouldn't know how much it costs in other countries... sorry Gabriel ), but a few months ago at the pub I tasted a couple o' real nice whiskeys, but sadly I forgot the name of them. Me and a friend (the only friend who'll ever drink whiskey with me) asked the bartender and he suggested some to us. I should go back there to write the names down...Other than that, in my fridge there's currently 'Lemoncello', Italian lemon liquor. It's a great appetizer, but you have to drink it ice and ice cold, so I usually put it in the freezer a little while before drinking it. I had a Jack Daniel's/Amaretto shot once in my life. I will NEVER drink that again. I like Amaretto just like that, but the shot was just disgusting.

ue...what's better...chocolate, and alcohol...who's the big mountain of awesomeness that made that up *gives out big hugs* I've drank vodka, and whiskey's and rums, andall that stuff...personaly i don't like adding stuff to the alcohol, unless I'm with my girl...than i add gingerale or coke or watevr, but i jus like it bettr without anything added...matter of fact i went to a party with my cuzo, and his brother worked for the airline and they were having a party for one of the people that worked there, and there were people from everywhere there...london, australia, jamaca, mexico, and they had alcohol from each of these places...I went over to the lady and asked if i could try sum Bermuda Black Rum...it was about 85-90 proof...it was awesome..... neway me and my cuzo made sumthin pretty tasty, don't kno if anyone would like it, but try it out: 60% Jose Cuervo 40% Lemonade (pink or reg.) try it and tell me what ya think... I never said that you had to be sober after you drank it, Anne, now did I? Just because it may fuck you up doesnt mean that you cant still enjoy it. I myself can drink it all night and not feel a thing... Though I also have a very high tolerance for acohol though... -.- |

No I haven't! What a great idea! I'm so doing that as soon as I get some Buttershots. Azeara, it's not the being drunk afterwords that I can't handle. It's the burning of the throat that I have a hard time with. Or does the pineapple juice neutralize that? |

Is it worth it??? Hmmm... A friend of my husband's from Canada shipped us a bottle of wine for Christmas last year (Icewine... novel, but kinda gross). FedEx delivered it, then sent us a letter a month later saying, "Oh hey, that was wine and that's illegal. You owe us $45." I was like, "Oh, just try to get that $45!" I know from years of shipping that a company should never deliver a package that has money on it, and if they do, they can't really collect on it later legally. So every month they sent us a bill for $45 that I'm so not paying, until we moved and it confused them. Ha. FedEx. Psh. So I was making a point about shipping alcohol internationally... but forgot what it was. Hm. |

lol...as soon as i get my drivers, and a car...i'll do what my grandparents do, and just hide it while crossing the border. It may take me a year or two, lol. But I don't see why they can't sell it privatly and ship internationally...but then again, customs sucks. Edited by starlite_starbright, 4 Oct 2008, 01:49 AM.
