Yesyes, Tommyknockers is an old book. xD I know. But I just finished reading it, and loved every bit. I have to admire how despite everything going to hell by the end--hundreds may die, thousands more may have their lives completely destroyed--but there's usually that little ray of hope at the end. At least one thing will be fixed, and go right by the conclusion. Redemption is another common theme, here, I've noticed. The Shining is one good example--and in the Tommyknocker's, Anne's sacrifice by the end could easily be considered redemption, as well. The movies make the books seem even darker than they are, though. >.> Anyone reading/about to read/just finished reading one of his books?

I wish I read the book. The movie was so dumb. I should pick up the IT novel soon. |

Yeah.. I don't like the majority of the movie adaptations I've seen. None of them do the original books any justice. Although I can easily see a lot of things in Tommyknockers not translating well to film, regardless. I mean.. CROTCH TENTACLES? Yeah. Hentai fest, right there. |

The only adaptation I liked was "The Mist". That was a great film.

Misery will always be one of my favorite books. The movie was pretty decent too, not a bad adaption at all. The book was so much better though, obviously because that's always the case.
