What is your favourite genre of game? Me, its Role Playing Game or RPG but I'm also into Strategy, flight sims and shoot 'em ups with either an Elite or a Wing Commander overtone. I also like anything strategy, shoot em up or otherwise that has anything to with Robotic War Machines. So what is yours? |

Action/Adventure and RPG. I like some shooters and strategy games, though. |

Fighting games (streetfighter) tactics/squad games (x-com, fftactics, front mission) 4x games (civilization, master of orion) some RPGs, preferably ones where I don't have to read an FAQ to finish CCG's (SNK vs capcom card fighter clash, Pokemon CCG for the nintendo) Basically I prefer games where thinking is required more than reflexes (exception being SF) and memorization (most shmups and plaformers) |

Forgot about CCGs. I love those. Most of the RPGs I have are those tactical RPGs, but alot of them don't require that much tactical work (excluding Fire Emblem. The consequences for screwing up are steep...) |

Ehhh, I play a lot of things. xD Puzzle/Shooter/Platform/Rpg/etc/etc/etc. Really, I'm drawn to anything with a good story, and game play to back it up. My favorites would be games that blend action with puzzle-solving. Like Resident Evil, and Half-Life. (Well, Half-life, I've noticed, a lot of people start out going HOMGWHEREIGO?! then the patterns become apparent, and...yeah.) I also enjoy fighting games, however, my favorites being the Soul Calibur series, and Guilty Gear series. Edited by Ayeaka, 22 Aug 2008, 06:02 PM.

I like any game where I can do plenty of customization to suit my own personal style. I always seem to do pretty well on those kinda games (MMOs don't count) |

I love turn based roleplaying games. Action and adventure games are a close second though.

Traditional RPGs, Survival Horror, and some FPS. I don't really do well with RTS games, but that's probably because my exposure to such a genre has been very limited. I've stuck to RPGs for most of my gaming experience, Final Fantasy and the like, though I also like the eeriness and macabre settings and themes to be found in titles like Silent Hill, Siren, and Fatal Frame. FPS/Shoot 'em Up games are fine, as I love Halo and Gears of War, though I do tend to stick to the plot driven games as opposed to the free-for-all titles where one team of players are set against others in capture the flag or deathmatch scenarios and the like. I play Unreal Tournament off and on, which is fine for passing the time, but it's nothing I can get into regularly, especially with a bunch of strangers over the net. Prefer to play stuff like that only with people I know, as it removes the chance of running into whinny n00bs who always cry "HAX!" when they lose. All of the little underage brats who are only happy when they are the winner. |

Don;t you just hate people that always accuse you of hacking? I've been accused of it before for making a really good shot on Gunbound. I'm okay at shooters, but not FPS. if I'm doing First-person, I always die because I get shot in the back. Probably exactly what would happen in the real world.
