I saw that Desmond Anerio is awaiting a trial, and I thought about playing a Lawyer in his defense designated for him during his trial. I can make a profile as soon as that idea is okay'ed by the thread mod and Desmond's Typist.

@The Joker - thanks! Before I go and fix his job (and other stuff), I have a couple of questions (how I change his profile depends on the answers): First, is it safe to assume that we're dealing with something similar to The Shawshank Redemption here (as in the corrupt Warden and guards)? Second, do any inmates have "connections" to the outside world? Again, this is a reference to Red in TSR. Third, how high-tech is the prison? |

I know some of the prison guards are corrupt, but not all. It's more a modern prison than anything, and the Warden isn't corrupt; he make be a little dark - like he may turn away when a guard is punishing a prisoner brutally - but he runs a tight ship, that's all. And yes, prisoners can have connections to the outside world like Red. Red is a stud.

Profile Screen Name: Taking Elysium Name: Alexis Kimberly Malone Age: 25 Gender: Female Job: Lawyer/Former Homicide Investigator Status: Alexis got her first Master's degree in Criminal Justice at the age of 21-years old after graduating from high school at 17-years old. Most of her degree pertained more to the Homicide department. Her first job came after she finished her Bachelors degree. She became a rookie homicide investigator. Her specialty was interrogation and blood spatter analysis. She worked for two years while finishing up her Master's, mostly online due to the lack of time. She worked one of the worse cases she has ever seen-- the merciless slaughter of a group of children. Molested, beaten, killed, then buried in a mass graveyard without an reason or thought. She decided, after she solved the case, that she would no longer work homicide. Instead, she turned her direction to a Law degree. She had most of the courses done from her previous degrees, so she only had about two to three years of school. While working on her degree, she worked in the Fraud Department. After finishing up school at 24-years old, she got a job as a lawyer-- mainly for homicide due to her previous experience. She's the youngest and newest lawyer in the department, but she's already winning cases. Reason for Working Here: Crime was her thing. Well, catching and putting people that committed them away, anyway. Homicide suspects were her favorite, even though there are times where she hates her job for defending such a vile abomination whom is knowingly guilty. At times though, there has been a few innocents locked away. Her hidden desire is to, not just defend the suspect, but make cure that he/she is guilty beyond reasonable suspicion, beyond all doubt, and that every piece of evidence is substantial to the case before the suspect is sentenced for the crime. Appearance:Alexis has blond hair, a cheerful complexion, and a hearty smile for the most part. Her dress is strictly business. She loves pant suits, slacks and a nice blouse, etc. No skirts for her. Especially since she defends suspects that are currently locked up. The last thing she needed was to look like she was anything but a lawyer for the defendant. It's perfectly okay if I don't get a lot of interaction. To be honest, I don't have a lot of time on my hands. I'm thinking I can start with a lawyer, then maybe a corrections officer later when I get a little more time on my hands. I haven't role-played in quite a while.
