He was trapped, no way out. He watched, defenceless and weak, as his death walked towards him. Patheticly, he attempted to throw a wild, inaccurated and down right pathetic punch. His wrist was quickly broken, causing him to whimper as his killer snorted. "Goodnight, Shane." The words came out as a deathly whisper as they grabbed his battered and bruised head in their hands, quickly, silently, and effectively twisting his head on his neck, a loud crack of a broken neck resounding in the silent room. There were retreating foot steps, the sound of a door opening and closing and then the room was only left with the sound of a dead corpse by the name of Morris Shane. --- Remus Academy. An ordinarily old sounding name for an ordinarily old looking boarding school with a history behind it in an ordinarily old looking and sounding country where people barely cared. It's classes, however, and its students, are far from ordinary. Far from civilization, in fact, surrounded by one of the largest forests in the country on two sides and a gigantic lake completely covering one, Remus Academy is a special school for basicly one thing and one thing only. Fighting. Well, it also teaches mandatory lessons, such as math, science, etc. But mainly fighting. It doesn't matter what kind of style you use. Capoeira, Karate, Takewon Dao, Kendo, Wrestling, Boxing hell, even Fencing! Any fighting style you wish, they have it. About 1600 years ago, the gigantic castle had been a home of a powerful noble family. Of course, due to war and some political assassinations or another(No one quite cares about such things these days), the castle was empty for 100 years. Then, 600 years ago, the place was used to train soldiers for the country. However, about 150 years ago, the place had been reformed into a school for the fighting arts, and has successfully delivered the most powerful and wanted fighters, bodyguards, assassins, soldiers and goverment agents known to the world. Of course, few know of this school's... Er, 'Course Studies', of course. To the world, the school is simply a neat bording school which refines the students into children of many talents. Honestly, people should make connections if most of the best fighters graduated from Remus, but it goes to show how stupid people are... But enough about the history... --- There has been a murder in the school during the first few days of the school year. No one knows why, but Morris Shane was the victim, and the killer hasn't been caught yet. The rumors spread like wild fire, and everywhere you can hear gossip. Fear has spread as well, slightly. First and second years are the ones scared the most, seeing as they are newer to the school. The others know how to deal with fear. The thing is, though... Why would anyone want to kill him? Sure, he was a pig-headed toe-rag, but to take his life? The suspects... None. You and others shall find out who killed Shane whilist continuing your studies as you attend the danerous but fufilling Remus Academy. One thing, though... The killer is one of YOU. He is an intelligent young man with a skill for leadership, but is almost too ambitious. He is manipulative, but is often known to help someone else at odd times for no particular reason. He is flighty and has been known to play many girls and break their hearts just as quickly. He is confident, powerful and far too stubborn for his own good, with a tendency to boast. However, he has charm, and makes extensive use of it to get away with things. Morris is, however, insecure and has quite a bit of an inferiority complex, but his pride makes him do many rash things. He has a tendency for breaking the rules, and has done so on many occasions. However, these have somehow not managed to effect his grades(with the exception of maybe anatomy and weaponry). In fact, for all my years as a doctor and the nurse of this school, these injuries are among the few most horrifying I’ve seen(which in itself is an accomplishment, seeing as fights here get quite bloody). Apparently, the killer whittled away at his body, weakening him until he could barely fight. Then they thoroughly broke his body, but only in non-fatal places, making sure that it was extremely painful. Then, finally complete, they simply ended it swiftly by snapping his neck. However, the castle has somewhat recently(if you call 70 years ago 'recent') has been remodeled into an oriental setting. Even more recently, the interior has been changed into a more 'modern' flair for the sake of the students. It had taken a long time before Deputy Headmaster Cormier agreed, although Headmaster Fisher found it to be a wonderful idea. The Castle 1 2 3 Entrance and Main Road Ignore the people on the road, this is close to the city, miles away from the school The gates are impressive, no? They are well protected and security is tight. Kitchens This is as far as you can go, kid! Dining Hall Looks... Oddly normal. Kinda disappointing. Common Rooms(There's a common room for both genders!) Pretty much the sitting room, but there's a large screen TV on the wall Behind the door is a mini kitchen, complete with a microwave and fridge, although no stoves Bathrooms You never quite realize how much money goes into the academy until you see the bathrooms. There's one for each dorm room. The government must really like the results of the graduates... Girl's Dorms(two girls per room!) Large and Comfy! They need it, seeing what their classes are and the injuries that insue Boy's Dorms(two boys per room!) Remus takes good care of their students! Lake and Gardens One small part of the huge lake to the east One of the bridges into the nothern forest Another small part of the lake. The small shelter there is where Headmaster Fisher often sits And yet another bridge, this time leading to the southern forest And here are the Southern forests! The Northern Forests Unfortunetely, pictures of the imfimary are not available. That's mainly becasue the nurse has issues with the room having pictures taken while there are occupants resting. Connection to the Victim: Rival out of all the fights Remus Academy has seen these two are among the most violent usually wound putting each other in the Infirmary for a few weeks. Background: Raised by Survivalists mother and father in the Scottish Highlands. Trained from age 3 in their ways of fighting and surviving the oncoming apocalypse when the world goes back to the Medieval times when the sword and might ruled. He knew they were a little out of it both being children of the old Tribal ways and the Druid religion. But also being raised as a Druid he mostly believes his parents and lives the way he was taught. He joined the Academy once his parents heard about t from others in their little "Tribe" and after a few years of trying they got him accepted. And he packed and left with his parents' word ringing in his ears in the old Gaelic tongue. "Keep your blade ready and your mind sharp young lad." He has kept their words alive even getting a tattoo of them on his right forearm so he won't forget. Right away he bumped heads with Morris. It's whispered as a legend in the school but mostly used to scare first years like the boogeyman stories. It was a disagreement over a locker Castor had it assigned to him but Morris already moved into it so he could be closer to some girls. Naturally the Scot didn't like this so he threw everything out of it knowing the combo and moved his stuff in Morris arrived just in time to see his stuff scattered on the floor. Being a man of action he swung slamming the Scot's head in his locker. Roaring with rage Castor retaliated with a decimating Haymaker. The rest is legend they're fight raged for a good few minutes before a troop of Advanced combat teachers broke them up. They were paired off as roommates as well the other boys still playing the battle over in their head warned Headmaster Fisher who promptly put them in separate wings of the Boy's Dorm. They sparred off many times and eventually had to be placed in totally different classes as to best avoid another battle. Background: Yako's mother died giving birth to him, so he was resented by his father as he grew up. They couldn't stand each other, which was part of the reason his father sent him to the school - it was far away. Before he was in school, Yako was a skinny, weak boy with no muscle structure and no self-esteem. For a while, Yako wasn't the best student. He was full of fear and anger which all clouded his judgment and kept him from progressing any further then what he was. He barely passed his first year, and he almost got kicked out. During his 2nd year, he was beaten really bad by a group of 6th years, which left him badly hurt. After recovery, he got a tutor to help him with combat, and he soon became a stereotypical Irish fighter - always eager to fight and learn. He was planning to get the other boys back for what they had done to him, but he became too focussed on his own work and they graduated before he could get to them. At the school, he found it easy to make friends among both the intellectuals and the fighters. In his classes he genuinely felt challenged. However, in his third year, an accident during weapon training left him with a nasty scar on his torso in the shape of an "S." This only pushed him to try harder and focus more in his studies.
