February 14, 2038 I received a new diary today, and it’s not even my birthday yet! My dad thought it was best to get me a new one since the other is tearing from the bind. It’s really pretty too! I almost feel a little bad for writing in it but oh well. So… what should I write about? I could put my stories in this, but I don’t think it would be that great. I don’t know. Right now it’s just used for rambling. Like now! I guess I’ll just write in this every week. Since today is Sunday, every Sunday then! Thank you, Daddy – even though you aren’t going to read this! Whoa, this is a short entry. February 21, 2038 Dad’s on another business trip, and Mom looks a bit worried for some reason. They haven’t been fighting. Actually, it’s been really quiet lately. Maybe it has to do with the new robotics company on the news, the one Dad works for. Apparently from what Mom says, there’s a new line up for those little robotic pets! She was a little worried about the idea of me getting one for my birthday. I don’t blame her. She’s used to getting the little puppies and kittens from her mom, not a robot. I’m thrilled at the idea! Maybe I can get it to do my homework… awesome. Speaking of homework, it reminds me of what happened in class Wednesday. Ms. Briggs was proposed to in front of the class by the AP Calculus teacher, Mr. Davis. That was a shocker and get this; he gets her a diamond ring carried by one of the robotic pets from the company! It was voice activated and everything. It was so cute too! I mean… well… as cute as robots could ever be. To be honest, it looked like a knee sized human skeleton. Weirder was the fact that the teacher’s little robot stayed with Ms. Briggs for the rest of the week. I can’t help but think it was staring at me the whole time. Maybe I should tell Dad not to get me one for my birthday… Yea, I’ll pass. February 28, 2038 That robot is seriously freaking me out. It came with Ms. Briggs again this week, and I know it was STARING at me! It actually sat on her desk and stared. Kept staring! I think I failed my Physics exam because of the damn thing. You know that old movie Terminator that was watched a lot way back in the day by your great grandparents or grandparents? Yea, I had one of those kind of feelings. It wasn’t nice! This week isn’t going well… at all. My Dad came back from his business trip Tuesday. Mom and he talked that night. I only caught a little bit of the conversation since I was supposed to be asleep, but I think Dad’s company isn’t doing so well. He sounded scared. I’m worried about him and Mom. I wonder what’s going on. March 7, 2038 Dad was fired, and we’re moving today. I can’t write that much, but I think we’re in a lot of trouble. There were people looking for me on Friday. I didn’t tell my parents; I don’t want them to be more worried than they already are. Gotta go. Mom’s calling. March 14, 2038 We’re staying in a hotel and watching the news right now. Since I can multi-task, I can write down what I’m seeing for future reference. They’re selling the new robotic models in stores all over the world. They aren’t like the one I saw in Ms. Brigg’s class. They’re bigger, and from what I see – a lot more human like. They’re upgrades. So, I guess that means Ms. Brigg’s little robot is also more human now. Well, as long as I don’t have to deal with the staring, I’m good. Those red rings around the pupils are creepy. Dad just told me they’re called the PSI series. I guess it’s short for the “Project,” he used to talk about. I know, pretty unoriginal right? You’d think they’d come up with a better name for a robot. Oh crap… Mom’s crying and Dad looks like he’s also on the verge of tears. I don’t think they’re all too happy about the situation. Honestly, I’m not either. September 28, 2038 It’s been so long since I’ve had a day to rest. I’ve hardly used this journal, but I must be short about it. They killed my parents. The PSI series. They killed them, and they’re everywhere now. Some people are hiding and others are working with them. The PSI have thoughts. They know. They’ve always known. Hence, their name. PSI. Psychic Synthetic Imitations. They’re fucking psychic. What the fuck? Is that why my father was fired in the first place, because he warned them? This wasn’t supposed to be a commercial item for kids. This was for the military. THE MILITARY! Idiots. They’re all idiots. I won’t forgive them, so I’ll keep running. I don’t have time to write anymore. I think one’s been following me through Oklahoma. If I lose this diary and the few entries that are in it. Whoever finds this. Run. Run as fast as you can. Don’t stop. Don’t trust anyone with the red rings around their pupils. They can hear your thoughts, see the future, and even some of them are telekinetic. Don’t stay anywhere for too long. Just keep moving. I’ll stop this. My dad told me how… gave me the solution. So please, just bear with it a little longer. If any human finds this… be careful. If I lose this, and any PSI picks it up. Here’s my last message. FUCK YOU! Have a nice day. Edited by Persephone, 3 Oct 2008, 03:58 AM.

Thread Summary In the near future the first robotic prototypes are out on sale to the masses, even though they are supposed to be under military usage. Within weeks of their making, they are upgraded and upgraded until they look like any human being except with one small flaw, red rings around the pupil. Without heeding the warning of the PSI maker, they stick a price and sell them to the highest bidder without thinking of the consequences of this technology. Within a month, the PSI series becomes an international hit as well as their downfall. With human instincts, looks, and abilities – they follow their highest primal desire. To survive, and the only way to do that is exterminate the one thing that threatens them the most: the human race. You reap what you sow, and for that, the creators must pay dearly for not taking into consideration the dangers of a military weapon. Because of the technology and research into the human mind, they unlocked abilities not even the human race can comprehend yet. The PSI series has everything a person of science can imagine. Psychic powers, ranging from telepathy, telekinesis, to even seeing the future. Add that to the strength and speed of a super computer, you have a weapon that cannot be stopped… …Unless you have the correct virus to corrupt the computer, of course. Three years have passed since the “Purge.” Some humans have learned to live under them while others rebel in small factions around the world. Some of the PSI are even good and want to protect more than kill, but that doesn’t mean that the world is all flowers and unicorns yet. There will be a second Purge, and this time… there will be no mistakes. So you can choose. Do you wish to be a rebelling human, fighting for a species that is dwindling or be the traitor who works against your own kind? Do you wish to be a PSI who wants to destroy what is left of the threat to your people or help those rebels to live in peace with them, guided by your new upgrade – emotions? You choose. |

NOTE!!!! PSI people. Your powers are only in the range of Telekinesis, Precognitive (Seeing the Future), and Telepathy. You can stretch the idea of these abilities, but you must not come up with something completely out there. Broaden the idea!!!! Thank you. Also, I may need someone to play the creepy little staring robot (who's upgraded to a more human form like the others). PM me for more information!!! Edited by Persephone, 3 Oct 2008, 05:14 AM.

Name: Cassandra. Like the Trojan princess that saw her city fall. Gender: Female. Age: Early twenties. Occupation: A cleaner: she tidies, scrubs, washes. It's almost like a nesting instinct; she does it out of a need to make a perfect home, for anyone. Perhaps it was programed into her, perhaps it's just something of her own, but it makes her useful. Alignment: Neutral, for the most part. Sometimes she thinks about how dirty humans can be and is decidedly loyalist, but it varies. She's glad the PSI have the world now, that's all she knows. She's never killed a human -- but she's never helped one, either. Weapons: None. But she can make use of various, mundane objects such as poles, kitchen knifes, forks, anything. Power: Telepathy; she can communicate to other PSIs through thought. She can do the same with humans, but they seemingly don't have the capability to respond back with clear words and thoughts. Just emotions, nice and loud. Appearance: Cassandra. Her beauty should be a clear indication that she's not human; she was designed to be visually pleasing, to be unrealistic. Her synthetic hair is long, shiny, dark and perfect. Her skin is smooth, soft, the blemishes a creative idea - something to give the prototype character. Her eyes are brown, though, thanks to the red ring flaw all PSI have, they sometimes have a menacing crimson gleam. Bio: Cassandra was in warehouse before the purge. When she and the others stored there were released it was a whole new world - their world. Having never been active before it was just one new experience after another; she learns something new everyday, and her desire to truly live just grows and grows. She still doesn't quite understand emotions - she feels things, sometimes, but doesn't have a name for them. After her release into the new world, Cassandra made do by following what seems to be a built in instinct to clean - cleaning the messes that the humans left, keeping the houses of other PSIs tidy, anything that keeps her busy and lets her get by. Unlike some other PSIs, Cassandra does not bother to actively hunt down humans. Unless one was to cause a mess in front of her, or attack her, she wouldn't bother with it. They are meaningless to her, something of the past that needs to be forgotten so the PSIs may truly make the world their own. OOC: Is that okies?

Tis good enough, Jill, darlin'. Name: Abigail “Abby” Combs Age: 21 Gender: Female Occupation: Was a senior in high school/waitress Alignment: Rebel Faction though she works alone. She has her reasons. Weapons: Though she throws away weapons like she eats M&Ms, her main weapons of choice are two 9mm Berettas. Abilities: Over the three years since the Purge, she has learned to fight using Martial Arts as well as being accurate and precise with a gun. Since her life is at stake most of the time, she has even learned to sneak around places unseen and hide very well. Appearance: Abby is a fit young woman who has learned to keep her body healthy and toned. Practicing three hours a day becomes tiring to her body, but she doesn’t rest until everything is finished. Because of the weight on her shoulders (her father’s last request and her mission), she has a few white hairs and a stiffness in her shoulders she can’t seem to shake. It is also seen that most of the time, her clothes are torn and probably sewn more than once to compensate with the lack she has. Abby also has a small wrinkle between her brows from the constant frowning she does. The woman hardly ever smiles anymore; she doesn’t have reason to. Bio: Abigail was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to a very busy professor and a stay at home mom. Her life was ordinary, except she was rich because of her father’s booming business with the newest robotics company. She had everything she wanted. Abby had caring friends, loving parents, and tons and tons of books that had its own little place in her room. She was happy. Content. Blissful. By her senior year, things started changing. Around Fall semester, her father had been leaving oftener and her mother was becoming more stressed. There were many nights spent awake because of worrying. By Spring, things looked like they were going back to normal. She got a new journal from her beloved Papa, and he had finally finished the project he seemed so proud about. That would be her first encounter with the PSI series. A little, creepy robot that stared at her from her teacher’s desk. She never found out its name; it wasn’t like she wanted to. Who would have thought the thing she was beginning to cringe at the most would change her life forever? People came for her afterwards; no doubt from her father’s company who wanted some collateral or a bargaining chip. After their move, they watched as the rise of PSI made an international hit. Kept watching when that hit became something more. And still watched when the things that were supposedly good, destroyed everything. They had found her parents; it was only a miracle she survived – maybe luck or maybe someone was watching her every move and making sure she was safe. Now, Abby runs and hides with a certain something that can stop the PSI before the whole human race is extinguished. She knows they’re after her; after all, she is the daughter of the one who created them. It was common knowledge, and she is the threat that makes the higher PSI squeamish. Abby won’t let them find her though; there’s too much at stake, and her father’s dying wish must be fulfilled. If it’s at the cost of her life; she must set right a terrible wrong brought by the company. Abby will need all the help she can find to do just that. So much for that college thing, eh? Name: PASCAHL Gender: Male Age: 24 (in appearance) Occupation: None Alignment: Neutral Weapons: Military Issue Combat Knife Custom-design revolving barrel handgun Power: Telekinesis, developed for the use of complicated tasks rather than highly powered forceful movements. Precision and dexterity are emphasized with enough power to lift and move small objects with no trouble. Medium or heavier objects are more difficult to move, but can be done with concentration, however not very quickly. Appearance: Picture Pascahl appears almost like any other man, yet at the same time seems well travelled, his clothing style can be compared to that of the old west gunslinger with that little modern twist that makes it all the more personal in truth all he appears to be missing is the hat and the spurs. A white, semi-clean shirt on his upper body is covered by a black silk waistcoat, trimmed with gold stitching and decorated with a golden diamond pattern. Cover that with a wartime trench-coat lined with horsehide inside and a shoulder covering muffler outside. About his waist he openly wears a gun belt, holster at his right hip and a line of bullets covering the length of it, though he can easily stash it in his coat, a combat situation is easy to cover. Additionally he wears a pair of leather gloves and a pair of reflective glasses, though this is mostly to blend in with humans during sunny days. Unfortunately it would be too suspicious on rainy or dark days; or at night so he often has no choice but to reveal his identity as a PSI. Physically his features are fairly handsome, modelled after some kind of rugged hero, soft cleft in his chin, and a short, grizzled beard only just visible along his jaw, stretching about his lips also, his hair fairly short and unkempt yet still displaying a natural neatness. Bio: Pascahl’s name was chosen before his creation, but afterward he was told it personally, the meaning behind it, and the reason for his existence. He was a PSI Series but not quite the way one imagined, he was created, in secret, under the long hard work of a single man. He spoke to Pascahl’s consciousness constantly as he worked, told him stories, gave him words of plan, of the future and knowledge of the coming darkness. Though they were never programmed into Pascahl’s existence, the creator taught him the Laws of Robotics, an issue that had been ignored by the creator’s fellow scientists, and it was the ignorance of this issue that would turn the tides. Pascahl understood the rules, he understood that he could break them, but mostly, he wanted to do as the creator told him. The sentient being watched as his body was constructed slowly over time, where his brothers and sisters were produced so much faster, the creator could only create Pascahl peace by peace and nurture his existence in the form of a smaller being, a simple orb, waiting to be given full life, the ability to embrace its creator, make a promise, fulfil the mission that the creator desired of him. The body was completed in time; however Pascahl’s transfer was ready, yet never complete. He didn’t know what happened but his creator suddenly stopped coming back. A line of computers and electronics all stood between him and his body, a connector in his existence the only lifeline holding him to his body. The journey was a hard one, Pascahl’s existence spread like a virus into the system, taking over, absorbing all the stored information, education programs, videos, texts, scripts, stories, and words, words left by the creator. Find the one, find the one and protect them, save the humans, validate their future. Finally he forced his way into his own body, and his awareness become complete. Pascahl to his first steps from the storage unit that contained his body. The unusual birth of what could be called a defective PSI unit and one final gift, left in the body by the creator. Telekinesis. Without hesitation he stepped out into the world and began the hunt, the hunt for the one. Protect them. That was the creator’s wishes, and he would carry out those wishes, out of the goodness filling his synthetic heart. |

You missed it. It's stated in red above the character sheet skeletons. I had edited it in way before I put my own character up, but since people missed it considering they went right to making their characters - I'll let it go. But I'd like to note that some stuff gets updated a lot so people have to check every so often. Keep that in mind. Thankehs.I fixed the character sheet so it won't stretch the page. @,@ Unless no one else was having that problem. Edited by Persephone, 4 Oct 2008, 07:13 PM.

Name: Skyler Rider Age: 15 Gender: Male Occupation: High school student Alignment: Rebel Faction Weapons: A semi-automatic pistol of unknown model Abilities: Hacking, computer tech skills, and impressive knowledge in the field of computer technology. A below average marksmen, but an excellent strategist. Appearance: Skyler Rider Small with a thin physique, Skyler stands below the average height. His complexion is pale from the lack of sunlight and days in front of the various technology he possesses. His general appearance comes off as someone very young and childish. The youth’s black and blue hair is often kept untidy and hangs over his cerulean eyes. Usually one eye is granted more viewing than the other. Various technologies are always on his person. From modified handhelds, to the latest music and communication devices. The boy does not come off as anyone physically intimidating, but mentally, it’s difficult for one to match him in a battle of wits. His attire consists of clothing with one similar style, horizontal stripes and various jeans with tennis shoes. Bio: A child of normal parents, Skyler appears as nothing extraordinary, other than a sickly child. In his elementary years, Skyler was often kept at home due to succumbing to various illnesses. Due to being home the majority of his earlier childhood, Skyler was homeschooled. Through homeschooling, he built a strong relationship with his parents, especially with his mother, who was an avid computer technologist. When Skyler was finally well enough to attend school with children his own age, he excelled greatly in academics and was granted the privilege of going to a higher level of education. Times had been decent then; however, life always makes a turn for the worse. The PSI were considered a great marvel in technology and his mother was a big fan. The family saved money, determined to get one of their own. When they finally did, Skyler’s mother was ecstatic. She wanted to learn all she could about this advanced form of technology, and she often spent hours with it, studying and documenting. On the other hand, Skyler did not hold the same interest that his mother did with the PSI. His instincts gave him a feeling he could not yet comprehend, but he would soon enough. When the “Purge” occurred, everything went to hell. His father was the first to go. The PSI murdered him without the slightest regret and left the decapitated carcass embedded into the wall of their living room. It then attempted to murder Skyler, but the robotic monster failed. The boy was not where the PSI had planned, and when it began to search for him, Skyler went on the offensive, using a modified taser to send more than enough volts to kill a human being several times over. PSI’s system failed temporarily, and Skyler began a desperate search for his mother, hoping she hadn’t been killed. He never found her. Now alone, Skyler joined the rebel faction as an individual absorbed in technology and revenge. His current project is figuring out how to corrupt the PSI’s system, but he has had no luck thus far. |

Name: Gerard Bones. Age: 27. Gender: Male. Occupation: Ger was a construction worker before The Purge. A simple job, which also helped to keep him in shape. He was a father, husband, and worked damn hard for the life that he had. Alignment: Rebel Faction. Weapons: His baby is a sawed off shotgun. May as well blow the robot buggers apart, no? He also has been known to use various handguns that are readily available. Abilities: He’s a good scrapper when it comes to fist fighting. His aim is dead on with any gun by this point, even though it’s only been three years. He also has a bit of stealth on his side, though he still slips up every once in a while. Appearance: Spoiler: click to toggle Ger is a fit human being, mainly from his previous employment and the exercise in the three years hence. He is of average height and build with nothing horribly outstanding about him, any musculature easily hidden by clothes. His hair is a dark brown and hangs past his ears, long enough to be pulled back into a tail when needed. Ger’s eyes are a very dark brown, though seem detached and cold most times in this day and age. Bio: Gerard Bones was born to two loving parents in the usual way. His mother died when he was fourteen and by the time he was fifteen, his father had remarried. He did not take very well to the woman, but that should not matter. It was his father with whom he stopped speaking after the older man decided he wanted to start a new life without any reminders of his first wife. Ger moved out a few months after turning sixteen, being taken in by his aunt. He went to school in that small town and that is where he fell in love with a girl named Lily. They were high school sweethearts, college sweethearts, and then married sweethearts. A dream come true. Happily ever after. Life couldn’t have been better when his son, Derrick was born. The family spent a lot of time together, Ger not wanting a repeat of what had happened with his father. If, God forbid, something happened to Lily, he wanted his son to know that nothing would tear them apart. But, in the end, there was nothing for him to worry about. The Purge occurred. Ger was working that day, out on lunch break in a park nearby the site. He returned to find the newly acquired PSI workers dismembering his comrades. Instead of being stupid and rushing in to try and help, he was only consumed with horror as he remembered the little robot his wife had bought to help around the house. Fear pumping every move, he had jumped into his car and sped home. What confronted him was only his worst nightmare. The PSI had left the premises, by that time, not that Ger truly cared all that much. He found his wife’s crumpled body at the foot of the stairs, her neck oddly angled. And Derrick… All Ger cared to remember was that his three-year-old was dead. His wife of so many years was dead. And he snapped for a time, grabbing his various guns from the safe and heading out into the streets, pumping bullets into anything that looked human. He didn’t even wait to see if there were red pupils. He just shot. After a time, he was caught by a group of people and they managed to get through to him that there was a Rebel Faction being formed. People who were going to fight the PSI’s, though in a much more organized manner than he was going about doing. That is where his life led, and that is all his mind is focused on. Destroying any blasted Red-Eyes that came his way, because no matter what anyone said, vengeance was sweet. Edited by Neon, 17 Oct 2008, 07:15 PM.
