"Sorry 'bout that," Rath said with an apologetic grin, "I figured you'd be done without your weapons, sorry I underestimated you. I did it for a good cause though, I'd rather not hurt such a beautiful women." Rath cried out when his right forearm was split with a vicious cut. The instant her slash had left his arm he disappeared. There was a soft breeze around her and the grass was torn up slightly, as if by footsteps. Rath reappeared a great distance away from her, down on one knee and breathing heavily. He clutched a torn piece of his cloak tightly around his arm, it had already been tied. |

Raikou smirked and grimaced at the same time, stumbling back until she had her back to the rock from earlier. How did he...? Oh, hell, she was almost too tired to care, but this fight wasn't over yet. Was it? She sat on the rock, breathing heavily, gasping for air. The sword held firmly in her right hand, even as she laid it across her lap. She clutched her stomach, ignoring the acid taste in her mouth. She expected a fight, not as much of a workout, today. Life did tend to throw curve balls at you, however. Her crimson eyes were steady on Rath, waiting for his next movement with tense posture. If he tried that movement again, she might not be ready. |

Rath would have loved to use quick step again, to finish this fight, but he knew he didn't have the energy to use it again and continue to fight. He wanted to keep going, but he also didn't want to kill her, he tried to avoid that as much as possible. He slowly returned to his feet, stood there until he had gained his footing back and could stand easily. He looked at her and met those crimson eyes that seemed more startling than his own sky blue eyes. His eyes looked like two piece of the sky that had been cut down by some god and placed in his eyes. Her eyes were something fierce and wild, though they were too dark to be fire. They intrigued him and excited him, their properties were strange. Rath brought his right arm up, open palmed and holding the sword between his palm and his thumb. He grinned at her. A single word passed quietly between his lips, "Scoppio," and several tiny explosions erupted around her. They weren't aimed at her directly, but rather the area around her. The spells main ability was being able to fly a certain distance and split apart. The main draw back for this was depending on the distance and the number of splits, the explosion lost a lot of strength. At most, all this attack would do was shower her in dirt. Rath took advantage of his self made distraction and began to run towards her, though he had lost some of his agility. |

(Sorry for going AWOL. I'll post if you still want to do this The teenager frowned. He took his time getting steady, although she really didn't blame him. As soon as he held his sword up - despite it's awkward position - she scrambled backwards onto the top of the rock and held her own weapon at a fighting stance. Instead of another disappearing act, like she was expecting, something strange began happening in the air. She wasn't panting as hard, anymore, but she was still tired and it took a moment to find out what was happening. A small series of eruptions lit the air. Raikou got ready to spring away from them, but she felt no serious heat. The force didn't seem to be all that great, but dust flew up, as well as a couple rock chunks, and she had to squint and bring her baggy white sleeve up to her face as to not inhale dirt. She cursed as a closer explosion showered her in bits of dirt. Only a tiny bit got in her eye, and she blinked furiously, trying to rub it away. She didn't see the shadow rushing towards her. |

(No problem, I was wondering where you had gone, hope it was nothing serious) Rath reached the bottom of the rock upon which she stood, though he only took one step onto it before launching himself up to where she stood with a swift jump. He released the blade from his gun-arm and brought it above his head in one fluid motion. The only problem with his earlier strategy was now he couldn't see anything either, just a dark shadow in the dust, like some wild, sexy goddess stirring up trouble. He rather liked that idea and couldn't help but grin as he dropped down at her. He brought the gun-arm down with uneven accuracy because of the dirt and dust floating on the air. Rath had to hold his breath to keep from choking on the mess he had made, he made a mental note to try to avoid this sort of strategy in the future, unless he planned on doing something from a distance instead of charging head first into it like a fool. |
