There used to be a Legend… So very long ago! About a dashing Pirate King and his love who lived below. Yes! In the sea was where she dwelt, in palaces made of coral- A very lovely Mermaid Queen, oh, so sweet and moral! But because her way was so good and his a wicked one they were destined never to be together under the moon or sun! And so with sorrow very great, the King turned his face to plunder all that came across his path with great abandon and viciousness. And his once-loyal pirate crew all began to wonder what in this great wide world had brought about this capriciousness! And the Mermaid Queen became so sad that the oceans all got cold. And the beautiful mermaids all got very mad because they were growing mould! And they say to this day if you sit on the beach by the Bay of Tiersay, If you’re a girl, the mermaids will carry you off to cheer the Queen And if you are a young man, the pirates will capture you to join in their misery! And if you are not careful, just like them you will be seen… So beware, my darling children, when you go out to play! For there is naught that we can do once you get carried away! The only thing that you can do is hope and pray one day that King and Queen will come together and that they both will say “My love, I’ve waited for you!” “My darling, let’s both stay!” And then you can come home, my dears if they say you may… Anna cocked an eyebrow at the old poem hanging above her grandparent’s fireplace mantel. She was on fall break from college, but she had to stay with her grandparents because her parents were out of town. Quite honestly, she thought they were going nuts. They kept going on and on about how it was the ‘Moonless Night’ and the ‘anniversary’ of something or another. Whatever the hell that meant. And Grandpa kept bugging her to go hang out at the beach. She didn’t even like swimming! You’d think that after being her grandfather for nineteen years he’d know that about her. Plus it was mid-October! Granted, the weather hadn’t really gotten that cold yet, but still the water had to be pretty darn chilly! Who’d want to spend a night out on a beach? But she couldn’t spend her day inside either, so she called a friend and they went out to lunch, and then they hung out at the movies and bookstore. At four o’clock in the afternoon, she arrived back home, only to find a note on the door and a bunch of bags on the porch. Dear Anna, Your grandfather surprised me with an evening at a bed and breakfast at a surprise place! He even thought of you! He’s called some of your friends and you’re all going to have a barbecue and camp-out on the beach! You know the one, Tiersay Bay? I know that you’ll love it. Have fun tonight, honey! We’ll be back by morning. I packed everything you’ll need including money to go buy some food. Love you lots! -Grams Anna sighed and pulled out her cell phone. Plot: In this RP, you are a young man or woman who decides to spend the night on a 'cursed beach'. If you're a girl, you are brought to the Mermaid Queen and forced to entertain her, and if you're a guy, you're forced into indentured service to the Pirate King. Unless these two hopless individuals get together, you'll be stuck as mermaids and pirates forever, and as you're about to find out, both are highly overrated. Extra Details: Mermaids get a magical spell that will turn them human temporarily and allow them to put their plans into motion, and pirates get a voodoo potion that turns them into mermen for an alloted amount of time. You can have more that one Cherrie, but no more than three. If you want, you can play as a Pirate or Mermaid who was not forced into service (like a person who was one before). Romance is allowed, but not too much. If I start vomiting from too much sugary-sweet dialog, then I will tell you to knock it off. The ONLY exception to this rule is if it is for humurous purposes. This IS meant to be a comedy, people, so bring on the humor!  Boring Stuff: All regular Rules apply of course. However, I have to say that if you don't post for a long time and don't alert me to what you are doing, I may take control of your character, ESPECIALLY if he/she has to do something important. Also, after some thought, I have decided that when you post, make it a POST. None of this one sentence stuff, unless you really truly have nothing to say. And there is no excuse for lack of grammer and spelling. Double check before you post! Character Outlines: Name: Age: Gender: Personality: (Your character's quirks and stuff.) Affiliation: (Mermaid or Pirate. You don't get to choose, it's determined by your gender.) Human Apperance: (Only for those who were human to begin with.) Mermaid/Pirate Apperance: (Your Cherrie's appearence as a mermaid or pirate.) Once you put up the profiles, I'll either approve it, or tell you what to change. *The positions have been filled. Name: Anna Lowink Age:19 Gender: Female Affiliation: Mermaid Personality: Anna is a somewhat bossy person, but she's also a bit of a scaredycat. It dosn't take much to scare her, but she usually recovers quickly unless it's a big deal. When she isn't being bossy or a scaredycat, she's a pretty fun person to be with with plenty of humor and sarcasm. It's going to start with everyone arriving at the beach with their things, and go from there. You'll know when the good stuff starts.

Alright. Here are my two characters. Name: Angel Age: Looks to be about 21 Gender:Female Personality: Angel was just like her name before she fell in love with the pirate king. An angel. She was the kindest person you would ever meet. She would help people selflessly just to see them happy. She would give others advice, and not expect them to give her something in return for the advice. Not anymore. Since she fell in love with the pirate king, she has been bitter and iritable. She doesn't like anyone mentioning the pirate king's name and if they do, she persecutes them immediately. Having had this drastic change in personality, she also had a slight change in eye color. Her eyes used to be a pinkish purple in color, now their a dark brown almost black. Affiliation: Mermaid Queen Human Apperance: N/A Mermaid Apperance: Spoiler: click to toggle Name: Dusk Age: 19 Gender: Female Personality: Kind and caring, Dusk is a bit of a scaredycat. She usually keeps her comments to herself, but when she's tired, or scared, she'll comment on things. She never talks her mind, and often puts others before herself. She wears glasses that make her look like a geek so to say, but its only because she doesn't want all the guys to go for her since that's what happened from grade's 1-5 when she wore contacts. She'd say something to someone with the intent on joking with them a lot. If she isn't being playful, then she's in her more quiet and seclusive mood. When she's like that, then, usually she doesn't want to be around anyone. Or she'll just hideout somewhere for awhile being on her own. No, not really. No one else has ascked for it. Just remember that he's got to be brutal, at least most of the time. Of course, this is also a comedy... So he could be a bloodthirsty king who faints at the sight of blood. Man, that sound downright amusing when I think abou it! But yes, you may have the Pirate King. Enjoy.
