For your first post, be sure to include a link to your character's profile so we can use that as a reference. Guidelines:
Raikou's Battle Profile Raikou stood on the edge of a bridge. It was probably about twenty yards long and thirty feet wide. The stone was grey and faded, chipped in many areas but it still held strong. There were four large stone columns at the ends, but she was in the middle standing on the ledge. White water rushed beneath her, and you could see the dark shadows of fish swimming around. The teenager was dressed in new garb. A slightly baggy white shirt, tight until it reached her elbows, where it flared out in ruffles. She wore a brown leather corset over it, and tight capris, leather as well. She wore a green sash on one thigh, and her duo swords were held up by a belt. She sighed and looked at both ends of the bridge. It seemed like more often than not she was the first one to battles. So much for being fashionably late. However, Raikou grinned in anticipation. It was going to be her first teamed duel. Her partner was none other than the fabulous Cathal, and after their first battle, it was obvious that they would go well together. Her opponents were Rath and a mystery girl she'd yet to meet. This match was well worth the wait. With military precision, she turned on her heel and plopped down cross legged, waiting for the others to show up. Her blond hair was pulled into a messy ponytail, and the wind blew it away from her face. A pair of sharp crimson eyes watched for figures on both sides of the bridge. Oh, this would be a match to speak of indeed. |

Rath: http://role-player.net/single/?p=8032379&t=7024528 Slight differences include a lack of his magic pendent and all the abilities that come with it, and a change of clothes, he's not messing around this time, You'll be filled in. --------------------------- Rath walked along the cold, hard ground at a casual pace with long, easy strides. He was dressed completely different than normal. He wore an old suit he had kept in great form from his time as a mercenary. For the most part the suit was comprised of tough, yet flexible leather, but some areas were strengthened with stiff, stronger leather, and even steel plates for the more vital spots. Metal plates could be found on his right breast (one was not needed for his left because the gun-arm encased most of his left upper body), and along his stomach and back, consisting of much smaller plates separated by the flexible leather so that he could still move with great ease. The spots that were not strengthed were pulled tightly across his body so that every muscle he had stood out. His right arm was an impressive sight reflected through the fine, black leather. His legs too stood out in this fashion, left unarmored so that he could run and move easily. The flashing gun-arm was not concealed this day, but instead hung proudly at his side, swaying in time with his steps. He wore matching black boots, instead of his normal brown ones, but these boots too had hidden knives in the bottom that, when he tapped his heel just right, extended from the tip. He walked up to the bridge and stepped on the old stone with a faint tap of his light boots. He soon reached the middle and found Raikou standing there waiting. He grinned at her with his famous grin as he spoke, "Am I late?" |

Cathal: http://role-player.net/topic/7036953/1/#new Just scroll up to the first one if necessary. xD ----------------------------------------------------------- Soft footsteps clicked and clacked on the cold stones as the second of Raikou's team arrived upon the scene, his brilliant green optics taking in the beautiful scenery he was to be fighting in. His long, sleeveless jacket wafted gently in a passing breeze, the light gray fabric standing in a not-so-stark contrast to the monochromatic stone he was to be fighting on. Oh, such nostalgia, he thought. Such nostalgia. A large, tanned hand went down on his partner's left shoulder as his eyes met hers, a half-smile flashing across his face. "Been 'uh while, love," he said with his thick Irish accent. Many things had changed since he had seen her: his hair, once short and scraggly, had been grown out longer and tied in back with a red ribbon; his usual attire had changed to something more... functional, with another few layers of light, yet exceptionally sturdy armor adorning his lithe figure. Even his blades had changed - one more than the other - and the polished metal of each gleamed beautifully in the sunlight. Emerald optics scanned across the bridge as the figure of another male caught his gaze. One of his opponents, he guessed, and a pretty strong one at that. The leather armor that composed his defense looked sturdy, but nothing Cathal couldn't handle; that gun-arm of his, however, was another story. It was a damned beauty, that was for sure, but it didn't look as bad as some things he'd seen. Still, better to over-estimate the opponent when half their arm is a clanking contraption capable of causing chaos. Or so he believed. "So, 'ah guess he's number one of two, eh?" he said, partly musing to himself and partly asking his partner, as she had arrived before he had. He was accustomed to being fashionably late - it added to the suspense of the fights he was in. This fight, however, would not go as before - he refused to lose this fight, and would push himself to the brink if he had to. No pulling punches. No holding back from gender. Kill or be killed. |

((I'm too impatient to wait for her to post and I won't be on much tomorrow, so yeah. XP)) She smiled at Rath. It was good to see a familiar face first. Raikou snickered at him. "Only if you were planning to be early." The soft sounds of another person's steps echoed on the stone, and her crimson eyes met with an oh so striking pair of emerald ones as a calloused hand came down upon her shoulder. "So it has," she agreed, taking in his features. She missed that accent of his. She had always been a fan for foreign boys. "Seems I'm not the only one who's appearance has changed," she smiled, jumping from her seat on the ledge and planting a quick peck on his lips, wrapping a slim arm around his waist. Raikou turned towards Rath, a taunting smile on her lips. "Cathal, this is our opponent, Rath. He's quite a fighter, if I may say so. Rath," she nodded. "This is Cathal, my, er, partner." Raikou couldn't resist a grin. It was true in more ways than one. "I'm highly anticipating our last member." Her fingers unconsciously fumbling with the bottom of Cathal's shirt. Nervous habit before a fight. She had to get at least a bit of energy out or else she wouldn't be focused in a battle. Her red eyes shown with eagerness. Something inside of her told her this was going to be huge. She wondered if anyone else had heard and planned on watching. It'd be fun to have spectators. Raikou didn't mind having company at all as long as they stayed out of her way. |

(('Cause Izzy won't leave me alone until I do... xD )) Cathal flashed a pearly grin at his partner in response to the loving greeting, and couldn't help but laugh as she played with the buttons on his clothing. Though while things were innocent and childish right now, if the second of two opponents didn't show soon, he feared for his safety. For all he knew, her hormones would start rampaging out of boredom and he'd end up upside-down with his pants around his ankles and a stupid grin on his lips. Not that that didn't happen enough as it is - he'd rather have it happen after their fight. "So, Rath," he began, glancing once more at the swordsman before looking out to the scenery behind him, hoping to see some kind of silhouette in the distance," where is yer' partner? 'Ah'd rather fight than stand here bein' stripped," he said with a chuckle, glancing down at Raikou once more before returning his gaze ahead of him. In all honesty he hoped the final member would arrive soon. He was growing sick of waiting. |

It seemed to Rath that Raikou was trying to tease him, or if not tease him, she was at least flaunting in front of him. He almost had to laugh at this, but managed to keep it under control. He wasn't the jealous type, which he attributed to his somewhat cold heart. He loved women, to be sure, there was no one around that loved them as much as Rath. However, he found it difficult to get attached to any one women. This was because his heart still belonged to her. He could never give his heart to anyone else. But he could still get lonely so he still had to have company from time to time, plus he couldn't fool anyone when it came to how much he loved women, though it was quite curious that women were not his weakness, like most men of his type. When Cathal spoke to him, Rath glanced casually behind him, then to the left, then to the right, and then shrugged. He looked straight at the man, his startlingly blue eyes flashing, and grinned his famous grin as he spoke, "If you're so eager, and if my partner doesn't get here soon, I wouldn't mind at all taking on the both of you. If that would be ok with you." |

Raikou raised an eyebrow at Rath and stopped fiddling with Cathal's clothing. "Oh, we're quite familiar on each other's fighting styles already. If your partner's a lady, I don't mind sitting out for a round watching. After all," she smiled at Cathal. "I've yet to see how you both improved." She laughed and kissed Rath on the cheek, winking at Cathal before she jumped on the ledge of the bridge where she was sitting before anyone arrived. It was wide enough for her to lay down on her stomach on, but her legs dangled she she joined her ankles in the air and put her face in her hands, grinning. Two swordsmen fighting was something she always found entertaining, especially if she knew them both personally. She looked towards the place Rath came from, blowing her bangs out of her face impatiently. The other girl needed to come soon or it really would become a two on one fight... That is, unless something happened to Cathal and she'd have to fight Rath again. She didn't count on it, but her motto wasn't not to always over estimate your opponent. |

(Sorry for the double post, but for the sake of bumping it...) After a few impatient seconds (well, they could have been minutes) she scanned the edges of the bridge, frowning. Boredly, she turned - no, twirled was more like it - 180 degrees and grand jete'd up to the ledge, doing a single fouetté en tournant and gracefully landing, her legs crossed. She didn't only spend time doing martial arts in her hiatus. Ballet lessons came in useful as well, Raikou thought silently as she put her head in her hands and grinned at the two boys. "Our fight was fun, Rath, and it might not be fair for a two on one. I'd love to see the two of you fighting." The blond winked at them. "How about it?" |

http://role-player.net/topic/7073461/1/#new ----- “Got your message, do hope I’m not too late,” spoke a voice currently never heard before in this realm. “A sword battle, huh? I came prepared.” The speaker stepped onto the bridge and held up his monster of a weapon, a seven plus blade high into the air. From afar the blade would look thin and frail, but it was actually very tempered steel and weighed much heavier than it appeared, but Arcades held it in one hand like a feather. The Templar stepped up to his partner, Rath, and spoke words fitting for the occasion. “No tricks, no games. Let’s do this,” he then turned his attention to the others present and spoke with a smile on his lips to them, “if you’re okay with it, that is.” |

(This my good friend from another site where I do most of my battles, mostly with him, I can vouch for his skills) Rath almost laughed as he noticed just how impatient the fiery young girl was getting and he couldn't help but grin when he heard her address both himself and her partner, suggesting they fight while she watched. Rath couldn't help but guess that she was playing some thought of power or control in her head, like the two men would be fighting over her, the winner taking her as a prize of course. Before Rath could respond a solid, almost business like voice spoke out from behind him. Rath saw the man carrying the huge sword easily and let out a whistle, so this was the man he had contacted last minute? He hoped this man could wield that thing. He gave the man an up and down look of disappointment, "We'll over look the fact that you're late, I'm just sorry you're not my original partner, supposedly she was beautiful. Oh well," he turned back to Raikou, "my lady, you are still here and that's all that matters." Rath looked at each one of them in turn, starting with his newly arrived partner, then Raikou, who he have a grin, and Cathal last before he spoke. "So we're all here, shall we begin?" He drew his sword slowly, drawing it up as high as he could before it came free of the scabbard, a low musical note escaped as the beautiful, shining blade slowly came into the sunlight. Despite the blades age and obvious use, it still looked brand new, deadly sharp, and unmarred in any way. A gentle rose was etched into the steel just above the hilt on just one side. When the blade was fully drawn Rath simply let his wrist role forward and brought the blade pointing out in front of him, above his head at first, then he lowered his arm so that it pointed at his opponents. |
