I went and found a local tattoo place to buy a new stud. They were fifteen dollars. I thought okay no problem, there goes my gas money. I'll have about six dollars left or so, not too bad. Then he goes to help me put it in. Oh boy! I got nervous when I saw him reaching for things in the cabinet. Turns out the hole had almost closed up already. Apparently a hole in your nose can begin the healing process within an hour after your nose ring is removed. My nose must have really hated being pierced. So to make a long story short $20 later the guy re-widened the hole, meaning he just shoved something through it and practically re-pierced it. Blood everywhere around the ring and all up inside my nose, just like the first time. My nose is kind of sore now but I'm happy to have it pierced still/again. The guy that helped me out was nice too.

This was ... a week after I got it at the end of august. It was still a bit red and I've got an even smaller one now. I was planning on buying a ring for april fool's, to scare my father shitless, but I'm not very sure. I'm allergic to every metal except gold. Now see, you're one of the people that I talked about that it works for. Dead Sexy.

Before I got my nose pierced, I had the politeness to ask at my work if it was okay if I got one, before I went to the piercingshop. My boss had to laugh a bit and said that one of the managers of the other stores had a septum piercing, eyebrow piercing, multiple tattoos and ears full of earrings. I work at an optician, by the way, which essentially means you always have to look your best. It may not be the same as working at a law firm, but (facial) piercings are getting rather more accepted, I'd say. I've only received compliments since getting my nose pierced, and my boss didn't even notice at first, heh. Being hired and being fired are two completely different things. You can't be fired for getting a nose ring. the odds of getting hired, however, are lower, depending on the field.

The guy that helped me out was nice too. Oi, that's rather expensive. When I had to get my stud put back in, the guy did it for free because I brought the stud itself to the piercingshop... But I guess it depends on what shop you go to? Anyway, glad to hear you're happy to have it back in.
