It's sad how far some people will go simply to find a scapegoat. |

I don't think all humanity is sickening. Just the disgusting bastards out there doing this. This kind of behavior is what gives Christianity a horribly black name. The wrong people somehow get into a position of power, and they abuse it in a way that would horrify any real Christian out there. Luke 17:2 says this: "It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Offend in the origional Greek has the same conotation as 'harm', or 'hurt'. Mark 9:42 is similar: “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea." Basically they both say that abusing God's Word (the Bible) and using it as an exuse to hurt others is garanteed to get you a one-way ticket to big trouble. But I know that a lot of people are going to point to this and say "Look! See! Christianity IS terrible!" And that just really upsets me. |

I say if you choose to follow a religion then hey what ever floats your boat, just don't use it as an excuse to harm other people or claim superiority when confronted by a different religion. Three Years of following both Buddhism and Voodoo, I like my choices and everyone else can have theirs....just leave innocent lives alone. |
