This is an Old Project I was working on a long while back. It died when we have a few members walk out on the site, but with the expansive amount we have now, I think I'll try again. ~~~~~ The world is full of mysteries... Some including the facts about life itself... And some even about the reality of Death. It's always been to peoples imagination of spirits among us. Human lives never crossed over. Some even of Angels, and to that end, Demons. Earth is a peaceful place on the surface. It has conflicts such as war, but much of it isn't engulfed constantly. So it seems to the naked eye. What humans don't know is their reality is nothing more but a battlefield. That their world, without the shielding their unworthy, mortal eyes give them, that chaos reigns supreme. None know of the Evil and the Holy that walk among us, and the ones that do are oft labeled insane. But somewhere, an event is about to occur that will shift the entire perspective for a few lucky individuals. From there it's their it's said individual's choice, but the balance is about to be altered, and the faded lines of Mortal and Immortal shall be crossed. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Definitions- Human: You're average person. If you actually need this one explained to you, then get the hell out of my topic! Saint: When a good hearted, pure soul crosses over, it undergoes a transformation. While not a true Celestial Being, they are but a stones throw off, and show the Epitome of Human Purity. While not as powerful as a full Angel, they are considered Heaven’s Soldiers, and the Warriors that are to defend it when they are called to arms. Demi: The Opposite of a Saint. When an Evil, Impure Soul Crosses over, it too undergoes a similar, yet darker transformation. Saint is to Angel, as Demi is to Demon. These are the foot soldiers of Hell, and their “Expendable Troops” Spirit: A human soul that hasn’t crossed over. While it doesn’t have the Hallowed or Profane powers of the Saints and Demi, they tend to have a few tricks up their sleeves. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Sheet: Name: Age: Alliance: (Saint, Demi, Human*, Spirit**) Appearance: Bio: *While Playing a human may seem to put you at a disadvantage against the Saints and Demi, they will, after the their first encounter with a specific person(s), they will gain much power in their own right. ** Information on Spirits: Basically, they're not stereotypical ghosts. They look like they did when they were human, act like they did, they're basically just normal in nature. But the difference is, being dead, they don't need anything to sustain themselves (I.e. Food, Water Oxygen). They have the natural gift of flight, because physics don't apply to them. They can wander freely, not bound to one place. There's four planes. Heaven, Hell, the one Humans reside on, and the Astral Plane. The Astral Plane and the Human Plane are basically connected, but the Astral Plane can see the Human Plane, but not vice versa. So to that technicality, they have limited access to objects on the human plane. Basically, say there's a hammer sitting nearby. The Spirit could grab it, and throw it at an enemy to attack, or into the distance to hit something, make a loud crash, and thus a distraction. There's also their ability to make pacts with humans, but this won't come into play until a bit later, and a character will explain it in storyline. And finally, like humans, I'll also allow them development of their own specific power. Just not right away. Lastly, You are allowed TWO characters. NO MORE UNLESS GIVEN GM PERMISSIONS |

Name: Grey Austin Age: 16 Alliance: Human Appearance: Grey is shorter than average, about 5'3", with a build that suggests curves that just haven't gotten around to showing up. She has average features which are matured by her eyes, which are the colour of liquid gold. Her hair is long, thick, and naturally wavy although she usually straightens it. Her style of dress isn't necessarily tomboyish, but she doesn't pay much attention to what she wears, preferring plain jeans, sneakers, and t-shirts (although she really does like her lime green All-Stars). Bio: Grey was born to Darcy Austin and an unknown male and raised with her younger half-sister Bryleigh. She had an utterly average childhood in an utterly average suburbia. She liked sewing and volunteered at a children's community theatre as a costumer, read a lot, was failing math, was best friends with her sister (4 years younger than she), and was generally as healthy and content as one would expect a normal 16-year-old to be. Until her 16th birthday. Then she started seeing things. Then everything started to go downhill... *NOTE FOR SERIN* I know that's not much to go on, but it's imperative more of Grey's background is revealed in-play, akin, I'm guessing, to Eric's... Name: Samael Age: Unknown Alliance: Saint/Demi (It depends.) Appearance: In his more human shape, Samael is tall, well over 6 feet, with greying light brown hair, ice-blue eyes, and a humourless expression. In his "true" form, there is little constancy; he just appears at whatever will best meet his ends. Bio: His name explains a lot: Samael means "poison of God", literally a Heavenly scourge to wipe the Earth of whomever the Almighty sees fit to be rid of. Commonly known as the Angel of Death, Samael was created by the Almighty for one prupose: as a conscience-less destroyer, lacking in free will and bound only to obey commands from his superiors. He is a killer, the ultimate killer - a plague, a soul-snatcher, whatever he needed to be - and will do what he's told at whatever cost. He has a checkered past, working for either Heaven or Hell depending on who's asking. He has no morals of his own, he just takes on those of others. He's remained utterly constant throughout the ages...humourless, almost totally lacking in personality until he's given a job; the job tends to dictate his reactions. Lately he's been doing more Demi work than Saint work, being employed by various Highers of Hell. Heaven has begun to wonder whether he may become a liability. Unfortunately, when given a job to do, he will not stop until it's finished and so, theoretically, cannot be defeated. Name: Remiel Age: Unknown Alliance: Insofar as anyone knows, Saint Appearance: Remiel's appearance exemplifies the common "angelic" ideal: fair skin, handsome features, brassy blonde hair, huge shining white wings, and golden eyes that complement his hair. He likes to look fairly typical; he thinks it makes him easier for humans to trust when he chooses to apear to them...or use them. Bio: Remiel is one of the older Saints, created around roughly the same time as Raphael and Gabriel, hence the archaic style of his name, which means, loosely, "thunder of God". He is a notorious double-agent who appears to have repented and was welcomed back into Heaven - a rare occurence. He was taken back into the fold when vouched for by the Saint Tabris. He's since apparently mended his ways and has ceased doing the work of Hell when backs are turned. Apparently... Decent enough? Edited by Lynx, 17 Nov 2008, 10:55 PM.

Beautiful. All the characters are excepted. Lynx, I really didn't have to read yours because I'm pretty Familiar with the usual suspects. But I will later for collateral. I'm going to wait until a few more people join up before throwing up an IC topic. |

Hey Serin. Long time no see. Mind If I rejoin this project? Also do you mind me using the same setting as in the old project? Name: Santo De La Cruz Age: 16 Gender: Male Alliance: unknown perhaps human? Appearance: 5'6", skinny yet oddly athletic build with long black hair and deep brown eyes that seem to always be lost in thought. Still clean-shaven without any facial hair giving him a rather younger look and glasses. Santo always wears jeans, a t-shirt, and either a jacket or hoodie depending on the weather or his mood. Some kind of hat or head covering completes the ensemble which he wears low to hide his eyes or face as much as possible. Bio: A suburb kid, Santo lives in the near the big city and sometimes went exploring near it after getting his phase II license with his friends. Born to hispanic catholic parents and the oldest of 4 as well as the only boy, Santo never really became overtly religious but still went to church with the family strictly out of family loyalty. An up and up kid Santo sent most of his childhood jumping from activity to activity in an effort to find something that would interest him. Eventually he settle on a strange mixture of Tai Chi classes with his younger sister, soccer, and the school band. At the begining of freshman year he left soccer and followed one of his friends to their fencing class where the instructors let him have a go at it. They soon found that Santo had a natural talent for the sport and with a great deal of effort convinced him to take up the sport, of course it took even more effort to convince his parents to fund it. For a while things went well, He even scored himself a girlfriend. Of course it was an obvious mutual attraction that everyone could see as a testament to young love. At the end of his freshman year, her body was found as well as the body of some female gang leader, Santo sitting under a tree not to far from the scene with blank eyes and blood splattered all over his body. After a thorough investigation, Santo was found innocent of double homocide and the case was dismissed, authorities believing that his girlfriend and the other girl had been killed by some other gang. Santo never spoke after that simply kept to himself and devoted himself into fencing and tai chi. The school let him come back and since the incident had happened after school let out, left the incident as some stupid thing kids did. Santo himself had become anti-social focusing on his studies and training yet often displaying erratic behavior. The truth is Santo can now see the demi's and saints and to tell the truth, right now he doesn't like either. |

NYCCUS!!! Welcome!!! Accepted Accepted Accepted!!! We have an original besides Lynx! Yay! And as for joining as a Saint Alunea? Of course. But remember, A Saint is the Spirit of a deceased human. I'm not allowing players (Besides Lynx, but she's my Co-GM) to play Full Blown Angels/Demons. So yeah, knock yourself out. |

Nonono! Stay! STAY! Pleeeease?
Hm, tricky. I'll try to answer your question best I can, and if I'm wrong, Serin'll fix me... If you mean playing a Saint or Demi, they aren't traditional "spirits", like ghosts. They're like...they're like halfway between a human and an angel. They're the souls of people who've ascended or descended and their powers vary but are not, of course, limitless. If you did mean you want to play some sort of ghost, I don't know whether or not you specifically can't - Serin would know better than I - but I wouldn't suggest it. We've already got three/four levels of beings here, no need to make things more confusing... Besides, we need some Saints/Demis.EDIT: Whoops. yes, modern.

....I thought there were three fractions as well. Weren't there supposed to be some spirits who didn't ascend or descend? Oh well four way might be a little confusing I guess. Serin will decide |

Like I said, I might be wrong. Serin and I have gone over some things, but mostly plot-related, so I'm still unclear on some bits. You can ask him 'bout it when he gets back.

Anyway, I'm going to edit some info into the first post in the morning. Maybe sooner, because something came up. |
