Mk, so I have a free roundtrip ticket from Jetblue that I have to use before they expire. They expire sometime in May, so I figured I can take this opportunity and use this ticket during my spring break, which is in March. The thing is, I don't know where to go. My parents figured I'll go to Florida, because I have family there. I also have family in North Carolina, but I haven't seen them in years. But I figured, this is also another opportunity to see some of my RPA friends. The roundtrip ticket, unfortunately, only goes out across the United States and not internationally. But yeah. What do you suggest guys? I only added a couple of states that I'm interested in going too, but you can list other places for me too! EDIT: Yeah, the poll looks dumb. I want to edit it, but for some reason I can't. So just, um, vote where there's a choice and not the blanks. I know it's common sense, but there are some idiots out there that like to play games. -_- And I'm being serious about this topic. Edited by Necella, 17 Nov 2008, 09:09 PM.

Heck, I tried editing it too, but can't. Hm. Wait til Wttr gets here and marks the blank ones! So anyway. OH MY GOSH. NECELLA YOU HAVE GOT TO COME TO CALIFORNIA!!! Seriously. Is there any other vacation spot? I mean, Disneyland, San Diego, the beach, Hollywood, what else... oh yeah... ME!!!!! We could have sooooooo much fun! |

My vote went to California just because it definitely is a good vacation spot. I have to agree with Anne and say there is a lot to do. Then again visiting family is important too. Would this be your only chance to see those distant family members for awhile? That might make me want to change my vote. Where do you think you'll have the most fun? That's what Spring break is all about.

Aaaaaand you could get some of your friends to start saving their pennies now and they could buy tickets too by the time Spring Break gets here. And then we could have SUCH a party! |

If I visit my family in Florida it would be cool because I don't have to worry about saving up for a hotel to stay at. I can just stay at their house. The thing is, however, the kids go to school and my aunt doesn't drive. So it's not like I'm going to Disney Land, Universal Studios, and shit like that. Chances are I'm probably going to be stuck at their house baby sitting or something like that. If I were to go to California, hell yes, it's going to be tons of fun. But I can only imagine how expensive the hotels are. Not to mention, how stuck I'm going to be since I don't drive. EDIT: Not a bad idea, Anne. I should start asking around. Perhaps I can drag GZ over.

The whole "stuck babysitting" and thing makes my vote for a trip to California very definite. Especially since you said you probably wouldn't be going to Disney World either. Just put together a money saving plan now and start saving a little bit each paycheck toward the trip. That's what I would do. Think of it this way, your plane ticket is paid for so now you just have to cover the rest. It's like getting a discount... not really but if you pretend it is paying for the rest won't be as annoying. Maybe? |

YES! I'm winning the poll! I mean, California. Right. Hotels out here are about as much as you want them to be. I mean, there's everything from Motel Six to some cute little places like Embassy Suites or whatever, or there's the super high class top dollar bed and breakfast that is in my home town. So you pretty much set your price, and your standards I guess, by where you decide to stay. Nothing wrong with cheap hotels, btw. And omg how hilarious would it be if you did bring him? We could have soooo much fun! |

Hmm, I'll check into that, perhaps my parents can help me chip in too. In the mean time, I'm going to tell my mother what I have planned so far for my spring break trip. She either expects me to visit my family in Florida, or save up with my college friends and go on vacation. I kinda wanna do this on my own though, bringing at least one person I know. Maybe if I plan this early, my parents can let me go to California. And it would be hilarious if I were to drag him with me. I can picture him freaking out on the plane.

lol They serve alcohol on planes. That's all I'm saying. Anyway, yeah, totally. And even if you didn't bring you-know-who, I'm sure some of your girlfriends are as awesome as you are, and we could do a whole girlie party! (Even though he is my bff!) Oh yeah, forgot to say this earlier, but I would so offer you a room at my place if I wasn't renting. And if my landlords weren't my parents. They're kinda weird about that stuff. I just don't want to be rude and not offer though. But if I'm in another place by then, you can so crash there. And whoever you bring with you! |

That's no problem I wouldn't want to interfere with the whole...marriage couple thing anyway. I think that would be kinda awkward to say the least, lol. Not to mention, I don't think my parents would be cool if I stay at someone's house who I never met and only speak too via internet. ^^;Perhaps I can ask my sister's girlfriend, she's really fun to be around with. And if I bring a girl with me, I have the freedom of looking at other guys.

Aw, my husband and I went to San Antonio when we were engaged. The River Walk is so pretty. And there is this amazing mall there, where I got my most favorite sweater ever. Also cool in San Antonio: the Alamo, where my great great (great?) uncle Davey Crocket made his last stand. True story. And there is an awesome eco preserve that's not too far from there, perfect for bird watching. I still say California though! |

Yeah, and at least 250 assholes walking in it's direct vacinity at all times. Trust me, between the ignorant people, loud noise, inability to actually breath the outdoor pollution... Oops I mean, air, that's the appropriate term for what we don't have... And the rancid stench of the trains in and out of the city, I can honestly state that the only thing we have good here are Chicago Style Pizza and Hot Dogs. And that's usually over shadowed by the fact that if you walk down the wrong street, you're likely to get shot. Though there is an interesting little shop in an alleyway just off of Milwaukee Avenue. Though that's only for people that share a specific interest with me. Oh, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. When it's stated "Chicago Style Pizza", it has nothing to do with the toppings. I heard a while back that a friend of mine took a trip to Boston, and she tryed to get Chicago Style Cheese Pizza. They basically stated that "That's not how they do it in Chicago." Being the bold girl she is, she responded deftly with "Bitch, I'm from Chicago." It's actually all in the crust. That's what makes it Chicago Style. |

I would like to hang out with you here in Missouri but Missouri isn't really the best place in the world. I'm getting tired of living here myself>.> So I chose California
