Long ago. A young girl living within the borders of the Roman Empire, often sat by her father’s side, many days passing much the same way. Watching her father creating works of art, stone carvings meant to guard many a place, Churches, graveyards, castles as well as many other places desiring a stone guardian, a Gargoyle or Grotesque as it had come to be termed. Sitting idle, the sound of a variety of chisels moved by her father’s strong hands creating many works of art, each beautifully grotesque in its own right. One day the young girl had grown, to be that of a lovely young lady, her father desiring to give his daughter a gift unlike any she had attained yet, spent many a day pondering just what it could be.The girl approaching her twenty first birth date became ill, the sickness unknown and incurable. Many a week went by as he carved in secret, taking time to escape his daughters watchful eye upon the regular carvings he created. Time went by, nearly six months as he created the masterpiece of his life. The stone carved by a loving hand of one who loved his daughter so much, she took a turn for the worse soon after, as the statue neared completion,Upon her deathbed, the father lifted his daughter, carrying her to the hidden location in a secret room to his estate. Showing her the statue of a gargoyle that was created from her image. The cold stone gazing down at the father and child. The woman cried that day, tears of joy as she whispered faintly.” Father, you have created the greatest one of all. I love you father." she slipped into deaths grasp several days later, her time ending. So enamored with his loving gift, her essence not desiring to move on took life within the statue itself. Watching over her father till he passed on many decades later. The daughter had given life and gained life lived through the gift and even now, she roams somewhere, perhaps one can just make out the image of a lovely stone gargoyle maiden, set high watching, waiting, protecting the unaware.Somewhere within the darkness, Aemilia may be seen watching over the realm of humans. Aemilia was raised in the lands of Hungary, near the border of Latveria. Spending the first few decades remaining in the village of her birth, she sat watching over the cathedral and the house of her birth. Time flowed on,knowing her human years had passed, she sat a solitary form watching her father's time pass as well. The day after his funeral, she visited his graveside, setting the tools of his craft just below the surface of earth above his final resting place. Saying her last farewell, she traveled into the land of Latveria. Deep within the Carpathian range, she found the valley, that held the forgotten Citadel named Rittertod. Taking her place upon the tower wall, she spent time, watching waiting and guarding the abandoned keep.Till the time that Revenios came, entrapped her below a cell floor, A great span of time passing as she was bound within the magical chains that kept her freedom. What has come to pass..... Centuries passed as time flowed onwards, the old era slowly changing to the new, a modern era would rise out of the ashes from a world that lived within their means to that of one that held many humans striving to live beyond just surviving. The time and changes would not be noted by Aemilia until the height of the modern age. The old castle set far within the Carpathian range was desired by several and finally procured by a male who desired to live within the grasp of greed, gluttony and several other less desirable vises. Many months passed onwards, Aemilia listening to the very stone was given mental images of a owner most foul. Left unprotected the relic, that held Aemilia encased within the refuge underneath stone would be found easily by the owner of Rittertod, was broken in a single act of anger. The enchantment broken would release the binds that held sway over her form. Escape would be easily attained and then the flight to leave behind what was once her refuge. Far off and many months later, Aemilia came to view the world as it had come, taking a fancy to the strange new delights that her new world held, yet the simple truth was that she seemed to still be a solitary form, crouched and ever watching the realm of mankind. Unbeknown to her that the breaking of the Relic caused more like her to be revealed, in due time Aemilia would find, or be found by others Constructs...The gargoyles were slowly coming to take up their place within the realm of humanity. They would reveal themselves, some hideous and others sculpted to be beautiful like the image of Aemilia. ~~~~~~~~~~ *Note* For now I am keeping the roster of races as: Gargoyle Human Vampire Lycan/Were *Any other races shall have to be approved first. Thank you. Edited by Alinethia, 15 Dec 2008, 01:09 PM.

Name: Aemilia Nickname: Aemilia Age: Unknown Gender: Female Race: Gargoyle Occupation: Presently none Mother: Deceased Father: Deceased Brother(s): None Sister(s): None Name of Spouse: None Children: None Occupation: Guardian Physical Appearance Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Green Skin Tone: Light Grey with dark gray highlights/ human skin tone pale Height: Five feet six inches Weight: 130 Identifying Marks: None Natural Abilities: Ability to shift to Stone Great strength, heightened sight and hearing. Regeneration overnight. As a gargoyle, Aemilia is impervious to diseases, poisons and ages much more slowly than a mortal creature. When actively acting as a guardian to a particular site, whether a cathedral or some other hallowed area, she benefits from such a bond by being able to sense the presence and hear the words of any creatures present within the warded area. This familiarity with her surroundings prevents any being from moving or hiding undetected in her chosen ward. When immobile, she is capable of blending almost perfectly into surroundings of stone, whether raw or worked. Furthermore, she is also capable of moving through unworked earth or stone as through swimming through water. However, in this state, she is vulnerable to sorceries that can bind her within the living rock. Additionally, she can assume the appearance and state of lifeless statuary, while remaining otherwise cognitive of her surroundings. In this suspension of animation, she ceases to age, becomes as difficult to damage as any other type of stonework and it increases her resistance to magic. Any injuries inflicted upon her in this state cannot be healed until she is once more animated and with enough force, she could be destroyed. Finally, like most supernatural beings, she is far stronger and possesses greater fortitude than any human Sorcery Abilities: None Techniques None History Up To Current Given in back story previously posted. |

Alin, just curious but are you still planning on doing anything with this roleplay? *tilts head* Because it really looks like an awesome concept, but if you needed help with it or something, or needed to advertise, I wouldn't mind helping out! *nods* |

Haha, no worries. My dirty lil secret is that Im a terrible GM as well. Tis why I never start any roleplays! *laughs* What I would do if all else fails is seek out a co-GM for your roleplay. Set it in the directory, have a banner or so, maybe a link in your siggy? Heck, even asking some of the newcomers to the site to join might help a bit Plots however... I shall have to think on that one a bit, see if I can come up with anything to help. |
