LUCIE, Fla. - A man faces a domestic battery charge after allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a sandwich as she was driving on Interstate 95 on Friday. Police said the 19-year-old man became angry and hit the woman in the arm and face with a sandwich, knocking her glasses off. The victim nearly lost control of the car because she couldn't see the road and the man then allegedly ripped off the rear-view mirror and used it to shatter the windshield. The man was freed on $7,500 bail. what people can do with such simple things...

I really don't see the point of endangering yourself and your girlfriend's lives because you're a little irritated. Though, I must say. I'm glad it was with a sandwich of all things. I mean, that can't do too much damage. I mean, if he would have actually beat her, I'd have been pissed. I hate people like that. I mean, he's still a dick, but unless it was like... That hard sub sandwich loaf you get at a deli, at least he didn't do that much physical harm to the poor girl.

The judge sends the man to jail for life under a sentence of felony battery with deadly weapon (hardened sub roll). Or a marble rolling pin. Whatever works. Now see, that doesn't really fit with our Draconian style laws. He must be beaten to death with a stale baguette. It is the only way the victim and her family can have peace of mind over her ordeal.

I don't think it was mostly the fact that he hit her, but rather the fact he hit her while she was DRIVING. That's enough to cause a distraction and he quite easily could have caused an accident.
