Since Thanksgiving is only 14 days away I was wondering what is some of your "must haves" besides turkey mashed potatoes and gravy? I am having it at my house for the first time ( at my new house). I know I had my traditions from when I was a kid and when I got w/ DH his were different....so what are yours? |

Every thanksgiving I eat both legs of the turkey and douse them in hot sauce. I also have mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and spaghetti'n'cheese. |

Sweet potatos topped with pecans and marshmellows is my favorite. Then pies made from Pecans and Hazlenuts... Yum! We fry our turkeys (2 of them) every year and I get freshly baked bread on Thanksgiving! Then I don't eat for about a week. Lol. |

A bed/coach to fall on after I get stuffed with turkey. Plus the fancy drinks. |

My family always makes smugglers or Jack and coffees that night. A smuggler is hot chocolate with peppermint schnopps in it. Mmmm! And then we stay up playing cards all night. |

Sweet potato pie, baby! Pumpkin pie too. Hell, lots of different pies. Then there is the wild duck, the country ham, and smoked fish. I would say stuffing, but once my brother gets a hand on that handle, you risk losing a finger in any attempt to salvage a bite or two for yourself. Unlike Mosaic's family, my family usually saves the oysters for Christmas and New Years. |

Mashed potatoes and bread. Yes, I'm awesome like that . . . because that's all I eat on Thanksgiving. |
